hey i got a few questions, whats the camo youre using? and im still grinding the coal for this boat but i made a build for it: Modifications : Main Armaments 1 . Reserve Battery Unit 1 (41s battery) . Torpedo Tubes 1 (the extra speed is great for the big detection range so enemies have less time to react) . Submarine Steering Gears . Ship Consumables 1 . Dive Capacity 2 . Capt. Skills (Reinhard) : 1 - Liquidator . Priority Target 2 - Consumable Enhancements 3 - Sonarman . Consumable Specialist . Watchful 4 - Sonarman expert . Improved Battery Efficiency My idea for the build is to stay under for as long as possible, and only ping once (40s long single ping) if i see my target moving out of the way of my prediction or when he's running away. Double ping is still good but only for light cruisers or DD's. Just trying to be undetected as much as possible. With the healing flag you get back 4k health. Great vid btw!

and with a third ping ur torps become airborne?? 🤣😅😂

hey there great vid again, i have a question, does the german seasoned commander faster preparation time and reload on consumables work on submarines? when i messed around in the wows shipbuilder he didn't change anything but maybe its a bug, still grinding for the U-4501 so i don't know if i made the right choice buying him

I main the U69 and just started using them after the patch. I've read real submarine manuals and a veteran silent hunter player. I brought over my same tactics over to this game. I found it weird about the 3km damage reduction, but for some reason, it fits with what im use too in a actual simulation. The air patrols and submarine detection is true to form and im use to it. I look at submarines almost like snipers you'd see in other games. Weird analogy, but bear with me. I use a imaginary line going through the middle of the map I find my lane which im most valuable with cruisers and dds and take out bbs and cvs last when the congestion clears up. When I pick my targets I get under as soon as possible and I set my speed to DEAD SLOW 1/3, because a big chunk of the time the other team is rushing. This way I have support close to my team. The more congestion that lets up the more I disengage charge my batteries run down my lane at a higher speed. As long as I keep my eye on the map and conduct a escape route or a ample opportunity to strike when my team mates are engaging I am usually fine. Just like real life you have to catch them with their pants down. I can see what the developers are trying to do with it and actually think its the right path. Squishy and if you get caught trying to rush into the convoy your history and you cant run away and shotgun at the same time. Its not viable and makes it look unrealistic. I dont swing in circles 100 times looking like a nascar driver under water and im usually just slowly moving up. I hope what i said was viable and helps. I really do think the nerf makes more players be patient like submarines should be.

U-4501 has the largest sonar ping highlighted area on an enemy ship. Twice as big as all other submarine sonar ping highlighted area.

If I remember correctly it tells you that in the sonar ping description. Getting a double ping on a moving target is the hard part. Especially when said target is actively trying to sink you...

The friendly Shima did well but the other friendly DD's left a lot to be desired. 3DDs in C cap while the main force was on A with 1 DD to spot. Then the other 2 DD's from C pretty well just coat-tailed the Shima around from there. Even when the Shima smoked up the other 2 DD's didn't even spot for him or the team and let the enemy go dark.

I don't really get how Gato would be so effected, the biggest change for me when playing Gato is that I pretty much play the exact same way and still dev strike T10 BBs but just from outside 3 km range instead of outside 2.1 km. That is a 900 meter difference!? Not that huge in my world. When you sit 3 km away from a BB ingame at periscope it still looks like you are parked right next to it, and you're Alpha strike is still as potent. Only thing that effected Gato in these balances is that it can't shotgun a DD from 1 km range, but that shouldn't be you're objective anyways, that's was always a last call after you mis-played. And lets face it, being able to shotgun DD from that range was always a stupid mechanic and really broken. I feel every other Sub than Gato has been effected 1000 times more since they almost depend on pings, which now days spawn planes ASW attacking you from 3 different directions, meanwhile Gato can still send Nukes and hit stuff 16 km away 2 min later and never have to give away their position with pings.

I've been saving my Steel for this boat but now I wonder if it's worth it. What's your opinion?

They ruined subs for me. I wont even play them anymore. If they wreck CVs like this on their next rework, i will walk away forever, which is bad for the game because I'm one of those whale customers that keeps them financially afloat.

Naw, my whole sub fleet's been mothballed until Asym is back, it's the only game mode I find enjoyable with them any more. I miss the times when I was chased down by a Smaland in my Balao and I just popped up to PD and smashed him. Not only did subs get a huge nerf, but DDs got a huge buff just being able to rush them virtually for free.

Not played this game since the nerfs came in, don't play WOT anymore either, some cry-babies (contributors) email WG, I got killed by a sub nerf them, they were just right, now it's a piece of shit, still watch your vids though, lol.

Is it just me or does this sub suck after the nerfs? I only bought it after the nerf so most reviews and tutorials of it seem to be outdated. I find it very hard to play since you can only use if for shotgunning, while this tactic seems to have been hit by the nerfs the most.

Well done man! I only started playing this game a couple months ago and started playing subs. I've watched a bunch of hours on tutorials but only your videos made me a decent sub player. Thank you and keep up the great work man!

Why did your torpedoes stay on the destroyer and not turn towards the battleship when you pinged it?
