@@ripper1992 This motorcycle is my daily ride and I have been in many situations where the drivers of the car fail to check the blind spot over their shoulders. It is hard to show everything in the video but I needed to stay in the far right lane and the traffic on this road always gets congested before the light. A lot of drivers just don’t see motorcyclists and that is a fact. If you ride a bike, you will understand.

Hi from Mariupol,Ukraine. How is this bike in dynamics ? it's clear not as nimble as CBR, but anyway - how easy to accelerate in city regime, between the cars ?
@@ForestMarkson How is it going bro!?! I’m from Ukraine too. Great to have you on my channel. Great questions 👍🏻Rebel 500 is a cruiser bike. The suspension is adjustable, but even in the lowest setting it rides stiff, sometimes the ride can get very bumpy. The throttle is responsive and delivers great smooth engine power especially at higher RPMs. It’s not the fastest bike, but also not slow. I say somewhere in the middle. This Rebel 500 is my daily ride and I live in the major city with crazy drivers. The 1st and 2nd gears are short, but then it gets better. Mine has 6 gears. This bike does feel kind of sporty with a classic look and that’s why I love it too. It’s easy to throw this bike side to side while riding in traffic becomes a joy. It’s got fat wheels and feels stable on the road. I’m planning to keep my Rebel 500 CMX SE for some time. I post weekly videos about my Rebel 500. Check out my shorts with Rebel to see how it rides and handles. Subscribe to stay updated about new videos as there will be a lot of them. Let me know if that answered your questions. What bike do you currently have?
@@DenRock_13 Oh,you totally explained what I wanted, thanks .I didn't know, that 2nd gear here is short, so strange! I'm more less fine, despite f*cking russia detroys our country. But I hope we will back to Ukraine and normal life. Did you live in Ukraine before? How come you got to USA? I have Chineese bike now but in few years wanna to change it for Kawasaki ninja 400 or Honda, like yours
@@ForestMarkson Thanks bro. I usually go into the 2nd gear around 12-15 mph and take it to about 20-25 mph. Yes, I lived there until I was about 15 years old and then my family moved here. Have not ridden Ninja 400, but they are good looking bikes 👍🏻
What’s that extension called above your speedometer?
@@PixByLos The extension bar above my speedometer is called Motorcycle Navigation GPS Bar Mount Bracket. I have made a video about it on my channel “Transform Your Honda Rebel 500 with Easy : Navigation Bar Installation”. Let me know if you have any questions.
@@DenRock_13 sweet I’ll go watch that. Thank you 🙏
@@PixByLos You are welcome. Let me know if you have any questions about the extension bar. Are you thinking about installing one on your bike? What bike do you ride?
Love it! Do you find the 500 heavy in handling compared to say the super light and flickable 300? Keep up the great work!
@@DogMania Thank you so much for your comment. Great question 👍🏻 Rebel 500 is very flickable in my opinion. It is fun to ride especially on city streets. Even though I have never ridden Rebel 300, Rebel 500 weights about roughly 37 lbs more compared to Rebel 300. The 500 is not heavy in handling at all. I love throwing this bike side to side when I practice my emergency drills.

@@theorangegrape2068 Thank you for watching the video. If I was you I would keep the car and I will explain why based on my own experience. I also have 2012 Honda civic - great reliable car. If we go back 1 year, I was like you wanting to get my first motorcycle. After doing some research, decided to go with Honda Rebel 500 which I bought brand new. I could have purchased a used one but at that time I didn’t know much about motorcycles and didn’t know how to ride one, couldn’t take it for a test ride or even how to tell if there anything wrong with it. That’s why I got mine from a dealership, so I could take my time and learn how to ride the bike on my own without MSF course while I had my learner’s permit. No regrets now. Now I have sharpened my skills, gained more confidence and got my motorcycle endorsement on the license. I still have a car for those days when the weather is acting up or when I need to go to the store or long trips with my wife. Bro so, my first pick was really the vespa primavera 150. The night before I was going to buy I did my research and I saw the yamaha PG-1 I stayed up all night until 5am researching (I watched all available reviews on YT) and I felt I wanted it more than the Vespa. My wife and I went to a dealer the next morning and the rest was history. I hope to save up enough to get a big bike in this life. Currently torn between honda rebel 500 and the Bristol Bobber 650 :) - Also this is probably so stupid but about the same time I was thinking of buying a bike I stumbled upon this anime called "SuperCub" which is just a story of a student buying a 50cc supercub and her day to day with the cub. Super chill show and it had episodes on how to maintain your bike. I enjoyed it a lot and now I'm looking forward to tinkering with my PG-1 more because of it :)
@@Neithan Thanks for watching and sharing your story. Very interesting. PG-1 has a nice character. I like it too over Vespa. Honda rebel 500 and the Bristol Bobber 650 are nice options. Choose based on your taste and comfort. Watch enough videos of how people ride it and go with whatever feels right in your situation. I will have to checkout “SuperCub”. I love taking care of maintenance work on my bike. It is so much fun and enjoyable. DIY projects are great!
Great video... very helpful! Thanks for sharing! I want to get this bike, but I'm wondering what, if any, buffeting do you get on the hwy or even back roads? Not a fan of windshields either. I'm a senior rider, 5'9", with a long torso... any input would be most appreciated. Thx!
@@WheelsNotHeels Welcome to my channel. Thank you for watching the review video of my Honda Rebel 500 and leaving a comment. Same here not a fan of windshields, prefer naked style bikes. I do like the headlight cowl, it does take away some of the buffeting when riding, but not much especially when on the highway there going to be a lot of wind resistance and requires some core strength to ride. It looks cool and better than not having anything. Back roads and riding in the city is fine. I do not like riding when it is too windy outside. Naked style motorcycles are just windy, especially at higher speeds. Let me know if that answered your question. I have more videos coming about Honda Rebel, there will be one posted this week. I'm a new rider. The fastest highway in Nova Scotia is the 102. Yesterday, I took that highway instead of the twisty secondary roads to BIL's 'cause I was late. I can totally relate to you. Never thought I would start riding a motorcycle myself till last year and got hooked. Honda Rebel 500 is a great choice for a first bike. It has plenty of power that is easy to control and room to grow. The slip assist clutch is feather like and easy to pull without much effort. Is it hard on your ears?
@@HAMILTONPROVIDEO Thank you for your question.
