Love the nice sound. nothing like the Chevy inline 6 with dual glass packs or cherry bombs. It beats the v8's sound, but it is a matter of personal preference. You had to own one.

you should try the Cherry Bomb vortex muffler it's got a good mellow sound and when you open it up the thing sounds like straight pipe I have them on my 74 TA with a 455 with headers and they sound good it's not a straight through muffler like the OG cherry bomb

Honestly, I used to absolute HATE on these engines but I’ve built so many sbc&bbc now and I’ve not done a single one of these (not a full rebuild with performance components I mean) and after seeing and hearing this one kinda lit a fire under me to maybe put one together with the absolute dog nastiest camshaft I can find that exists and hog the shit out of the cylinder head lol. Put a good exhaust on it and maybe a 100-200 shot for shits and giggles here and there lol. Honestly, maybe even do a turbo build! I’d say one of these with a properly functioning turbo setup would be badass would sound badass, definitely unique sound, probably not too expensive (haven’t really delved into the performance parts market for these yet) but I’d assume the aorta are cheaper than sbc/bbc lol. Enough yapping I’m going to find one on Facebook marketplace real quick haha

Hey I don’t know if you’ll see this comment seeing as this video is kind of old but I was wondering what kind of cherry bomb mufflers do you have? I have a 1951 Chevy styleline with almost the exact same set up that you got. 250 straight six, true dual exhaust. I don’t have quite the meaty chop you got but it does still have a performance cam in it (I was told at least). I absolutely love your car it sounds and looks amazing

Hello, I want to install a 350 Cfm carburetor on my 6-cylinder Chevy 250. Does the 250 mechanical pump supply fuel to the carburetor? I would like a 40/40 holléy. Would the carburetor lack gasoline?

Rough, i´d say... Awesome ride mate! I like it.. my Nova with a 194cui goes from a 1 7/8 " pipe to a 3" but it is a bit over the top.. not enough clearance.. And if I would recieve a $ for every time someone ask me if I am going to put in a v8.. I really like the I6, It produces enough push/pull and 2 more cyl wouldnt give me the amount of pleasure to cover the grief the car inspection service would provide by a long shot "oh, new engine you say, well.. this car rebuilt u see.. Must be up to date with modern cars and shiet.." How you keep camera from geting stolen -> park that cam in a big pile of horse sh*t... and make it stoolen.. I´ll see myselfe out.

I love it. I had two '65 Bel Air's with 230s that were great cars other than the single circuit brakes. The one with the 3 on the tree was fun, but the powerglide one not so much. What are those exhaust manifolds?

Too cool. I had a 68 Chevelle 4 door with a 235 straight 6 and 2 speed power glide. Kid in the next town over had exact car with the 250. We both ran the wheels off them. Best high school car. Had steel wheels with small center hubcaps. I put raised letter tires on. Little car looked sharp. My first Chevelle and few years later bought a 70 Chevelle Malibu which I put big block in. Still have it 34 years later.

That is sick! I been researching engines for my 54 Belair. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the 250 or 292 inline 6. Does anyone know which has more aftermarket support?
