STRONG RELIABLE TRUCK
Thanks for that. I wish I still had mine.
Mack Attack!😎👍
Very rare to see one of those without a body on them. That is a sweet truck, I hope you still got her.
Leo 😊
I drove one, it was a tough truck air clutch and a 5spd+ hi low aux.
The Gold bulldog. Maxidyne!
I'm
I DROVE MANY MACKS @ THE U MODEL ALSO FOR OSBORNE TRUCKING 👍
Fala o valor do Mack
Fala o valor
These where even wierder looking then cabovers how did they drive these things
Rubber duck Truck! Cool
Hello SIR! Thank you so very much! I,Love MACK! 45 Years I Working whit this thruck & F700 ! Thank you Sir! 🚦🚚🚛⛟🍀💐🙏
Believe it or not, in 2021 you can still order parts for these through any certified Mack dealer. My company has several that are still in service and we rebuild them from the ground up until they flat can't be rebuilt anymore. Absolute workhorses. Same for the old RD models.
I remember this truck in a magazine.
U models make great spotting trucks. Sitting on the far left side plus its so easy to jump in and out of. We used them and DM's for spot tractors on offroad logging jobs. We called them sidewinders!
That's definitely not a 72 cab
I drove that truck in the 80s steel everything in the cab lots of rattles.
Good looking ford ranger
I love the visabilty of the DM and U models. I driven several different DMs, whats the difference between the DM and a U?
The DM is a Heavy Duty and the U was regular. The DM was for concrete mixers and off road kind of stuff where the U was more of a over the road trailer pulling, or local delivery type truck
Great Trucks. The camal back suspension road ruff but it was Awesome 👌
would like to see the engine compartment.
That is one awesome truck.
its so nice, oh my god man.
What made me pay attention to THESE u model Mack's is the strange offset cab and the how the headlights look
Put up more r truck vids 👍
300 + ?
Yes it was kind of a standard engine Mack built, was rated at 315 horsepower, and was intended to be used with a 9,10, or 13 speed transmission I guess you could have got one with a Mack 12 speed as well.
@@bertgrau9246 I learned in a 74’ DM800 300 plus and 15 spd tri plex, #55,000 bogies, she was a beast
Great , very nice condition....
Love those old Macks
Thing was hauling ass!
You got anymore videos of that truck? Nice Truck 2 Man
Do they make r models with that pug nose?
no
I love them 5-speed Mack Transmissions
Love the U model! Can you show the view from the driver’s side...straight out? It’s the same as driving a cabover do to the cab being moved over. They are sharp trucks but I’ve never had the pleasure of driving one.🤩
IO IN LIBIA HO AVUTO LA FORTUNA DI REVISIONARE POMPE D'INIEZIONE DEL MACK MODIFICANDOLEBX MANCANZA DI SPARE PARTS
Can anybody tell me the advantage of those offset cabins?
Because the hood is so short, the back of the engine protrudes into the cab. They made the cab offset so the doghouse didn't take up the driver's side footwell.
They were intended for city delivery, when backing an old 96 inch wide trailer you could see the end of the trailer more easily than with an R model With the 102 wide trailers a little more difficult but still better than an R model
@@daltonbrink9924 thanks a lot!
@@bertgrau9246 thanks!
The U model was a good tractor but mechanic hated it.hard truck too work big motor the 300 was easy for the R model not the U.filters the heads mechanics cursed the trucks out.some never had AC or power steering.that off set car brings back memories.
That's a tough as truck the thing about these old Mack trucks is it looks like the lights are frowning at you shit is so awesome
a ese camion como que le dolia una muela por que se le hincho la geta
Why is the cab offset I've forgotten
For a local delivery type truck, with the cab offset it was easier to see the rear of the trailer than with an R model made backing easier
The r model could be a pain in the ass with those big fenders backing into a tight space the u had better visibility drove them both
You from Mass bud?
3:13 of course we want to see more!
Nice trucks!!
saludos desde colombia aquí hay muchos mack, excelentes camiones
Custom built for Swan Oil Company , too cool
hey man could you do an update of the truck ?!
Only drove a couple U models but drove many miles in DM's It was a strange truck to get use to.. keep running the right side up on curbs,, loL
I heard MOSKOWITZ mentioned,, that's one I haven't heard in awhile..
