Man, you rock!
OH HOW SPECTACULAR!!! SO CYN-SATIONAL!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND POSTING THIS!!! CYNDI IS ICONIC AND LEGENDARY!!! ❤️👑❤️👑❤️!!!
It's not an opening to a song, but Steve Marriott plays some nice fills on Humble Pie's '30 Days in the Hole".
Will check it out.
Beautiful!
This is just more proof that the piano is the greatest musical instrument ever made. <3
Thanks for including Summer Highland Falls 🙂
One of my favorites.
Keep them coming! Quite a repertoire and all genres played with perfection. Thanks for posting these…from a fellow keyboard player .
Trying to find the time.
Talent!
Thoroughly enjoy your selections and playing. Listened to your posts many times. Keep making them. From a fellow keyboard man.
just amazing...truley impressed
you sir are the best
I have watched this so many times, love it.
Thanks
No... Little Feet songs?
I do play the live version of Dixie Chicken which is awesome. Will have add to next round.
@@tomhammermusic There's some fantastic Wurlitzer parts on 'Last Record Album'
@@steveennever9905Will have to check it out. Thanks. Bill Payne
@@tomhammermusic The one & only.
Love me some ELP ❤
Me too.
@@tomhammermusic got into them when I joined a local progressive rock band in 97
This is easily the best showcase of Cyndi's voice I have ever heard. Flawless and beautiful.
First thought in my head was "find this dude and jam with him!" - bunch of great memories in this bunch of riffs! Thanks!
Ok, now after watching this, I'm on a quest to learn the distinction between Wurlitzer and Rhodes.
Both a great in their own way. It is interesting to find what songs are played with which. Of the ones I played more were on the Wurlitzer.
Great performance and rhythmic feel!
Did you learn these all by ear?
Awesome… Hammer Time! Great ear….!
Impeccable taste
now balance one on a B3! ;)
Yes that would be the ultimate
Gotta love the wurley!
Agreed!
GREAT!!
Was that you playing piano (I'm gonna Be Strong) for Cyndi Lauper at the Lifetime's Achievement awards (2001)??
Yes it was. I’ve played live with her a few times and wrote a couple songs with her.
Wow, that was an awesome performance by you (and Cyndi obviously). Just brilliant. I'm so glad I found your channel.
Was hill street blues a piano ????????
Yes. May have to add it to the next list. It is a classic.
burn down the mission played beautifully. i saw an interview a few years ago where elton said he was trying to channel laura nyro for that chord progression
Funny how he lingers on certain songs longer than others. Those with a groove like Pretzel Logic
In 25 years, such a video about today's music will be virtually impossible. I don't think I need to spell out why.
I get where you're coming from. So glad I grew up when I did.
Not at all. He’s chosen songs from a span of several decades.
Wow all the Stevie Wonders sound just like the vinyl! Rosalinda's Eyes is killer
AGREED!!!!Good ole’ Billy
These Eyes... Any Pink Floyd????????????? Sheep????????????? Yeah.
The standouts: Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder and (maybe) Led Zeppelin
Top Of the World-- Carpenters, Stay With Me --- Rod Stewart/Faces, Bloody Well Right Supertramp, Dreamer Supertramp, Brandy Looking Glass, Dirty Work S. Dan, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy -- Cannonball Adderley
Yes I need to do another part.
When i saw this i was wondering if you were going to play Stevie Wonder & Ray Chareles!!!
go tom!!! me digs it all!!!
My tan Wurly was the first keyboard I ever bought about 1973. I still remember playing the intro to "Joy To the World" live with my first band when it was a hit. Wow. Hearing that audience react to those notes gave me chills and I almost stopped playing. Never get tired of playing it. I've played most of those tunes, great trip man!
I’ve gotten through your first three along with the electric Piano one, and these are so well done and so much fun to listen to, especially as a guessing game with Myself. Keep up the good work!
Glad you like them!
One word GREAT!!!!! Smells so many years of hard work to lead to such a wonderful result... Gongrats to U God bless, Kriss from France
Thanks for sharing! My son started a band about a year ago, he plays piano/keyboards . He's going to be 25 and they play the classics...I'll share this with him!
Yes the classics. Hard to beat.
Fun with a Wurli!
Any chance you could do drum tabs?
But it’s just piano so not sure why there would be drum tabs.
@@tomhammermusic sorry I ment Piano tabs.
I played them all live so don’t have any midi or notation unfortunately.
Fair enough, lovely sound though.
Fantastic you guys! I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Rosalinda’s eyes!!!
A favorite of mine.
Or about half of Carpenters songs
Wurly and Rhodes! Wonderful instruments.
Agreed.
@@tomhammermusic The Song "Long As I Can See The Light" - Creedence Clearwater Revival also uses Wurly piano.
Yes. Classic.
Good stuff! Great to see love for Misty Mountain Hop! Probably could have added No Quarter - although I've read it was a Hohner Electra Piano T they used... sure sounds like a Wurly though.
Too high 😅
Yeah,Tom, those were the days! Good job¡
Damn, that bridge into the guitar solo is pretty friggin' nice. Is this track from the same sessions as "Watching The World Go By"?
Yes from the same time period. I’m going to post a few more of my favs from then.
Wow Tommy I really love this song
Thanks.
Very cool track! Love it!
