Where do you get that caseback ?!?!
Brendan Boswell sends his regards 😂👌🏼
@@antonylimbouris1992 did he do a similar review?
I have both Gens. and love the. They are my daily wearing watches.
If you had to pick one to keep wfh in would it be?
@Watch_Papa mmm, hard, but will keep the 2500 for its thin thickness
mm, with the new installing bracelete looks more like speedmaster, and doesnt match it nicely. Original Bracelet look just Supurb
Did you find using the spiralwinder tool caused any scratches on the case?
Nah it’s plastic
@@Watch_Papa Ok thanks, just went ahead and did it myself.
Two beauties and a nice combination of colors. I got the black 42mm PO back in 2008 and a few months later the orange PO chronograph. Before I bought it I had doubts if I would like its orange color also in the years to come. Now, 15 years later, I love it even more than in 2009 when I picked it up in Hong Kong.
@watch_papa I bought a PO 2200.51 after watching ur video and love it. Where can I buy an original orange bezel so that I can swap it like u do? Thanks!
@@themafusa congrats. Unfortunately omega won’t sell to you, you’ll have to either find a used one on eBay or have it ordered by and omega certified watchmaker
Nice video :) great job synching your left and right hand together, made video flow nice with the info you shared, I really enjoyed it!
I own the NTTD and Pelagos LHD. I love the Pelagos LDH on the OEM band. I’ve found the NTTD is best on an Erika’s Original, in Havana, w/brushed and the broad arrow on the clasp. Between the two, the Omega is more comfortable to wear, for me, due to weight and band. The Pelagos is a better, actual watch for diving.
Why does it matter if you get one with corroded hands and logo? Won’t Omega swap these out in service? Is it that it makes the service more expensive?
@@danieltaylor4593 if the hands are corroded moisture entered the case as it seems to be common w this model. They’ll swap the hands but the logo will likely be corroded and they’ll recommend new dial which is $250 extra
@@Watch_Papa thank you for taking the time to respond.
I'd keep the anti magnetic cage and do without the window.
Great video buddy,it's the 2500 by far the most beautiful planet ocean
I wear my 42 mm 8500 on a rubber strap with folding clasp and it wears very well. The weight is greatly reduced than on the SS bracelet. Also it looks a bit more modern. Great watch. I still don't know what to think about current shiny versions with gloss everything.
Agreed. The not a fan of the new ones or their color combos. Which rubber strap do you have? The more I wear the 8500 the more I got used to the thickness. And now I’m thinking to keep this instead of the 2500. It just feels like a step up in quality
@@Watch_Papa I ordered this one with the orange stitching (I have orange numerals like you do) from Aliexpress just to try it and I didn't expect anything good. And I was wrong and shocked. The quality is astonishing for the price and I would say on par with Omega rubber strap. And it does not have any Omega logos and stuff which is good because I hate fakes. The clasp it of a low quality but you can buy the original Omega clasp and you have perfect combo. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004547824235.html
The Tudor is like a Happy Meal toy compared to an Omega.
@@maitrehg haha
I have the 2209.50, orange bezel 2500 like yours. I added the toolless microadjust clasp and the fit and comfort are spot on. I prefer the look of the original thin clasp, but it's lack of microadjust is a headscratcher of a design decision.
Funny. I just got the clasp as well. Just waiting on the links for it to install. I will be keeping the 2500 and selling the 8500 very likely . Too attached to the classic at this point and I have two bezels for it orange and black. I do love the more fluorescent orange applied numerals on the 8500 and the movement
@@Watch_Papa Suggest you vid before and after your clasp mod. Great channel

I just fitted the same caseback to my 1861 and absolutely love it. Got the back on as tight as possible, so should be good and not worried about its water resistance as my watches never get anywhere near the stuff.
amzwatch watch are the best, I say this from experience.
Wow. Nice review! Both are in my collection and are my favourites now after changing to Uncle Seiko President Bracelets. Amazing wearing comfort and fit.
I have that Omega and my bracelet is different
It is on the uncletsraps aftermarket bracelet in the video
Both shitters
Really nice pieces. I’m inclined towards the 8500. Not thrilled about the thickness but looks so much better than the 2500 overall. You should try to do a video with the black bezel on both.
First!
The omega is so SuperB! Tudor canno match the quality of Omega NTTD.
Noob detected 😂
amzwatch You are so well-informed about luxury watches. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
The Omega outshines the Tudor is every way
What does it about the omega for you?
I’ve owned both and sold the omega. The Tudor Pelagos 39 is the perfect Rolex Ti submariner and certainly represents what Rolex used to be. The only issue the Pelagos continues to be plagued with…the hour & minute hands have less lume than the rest of the watch. Pelagos all day
@@racebannon2332 what made you ultimately let the nttd go? Such a beautiful watch
So you sold the better watch and mention an issue with the one you kept that Omega doesn’t have…
@@Watch_Papa terrific question…I originally purchased the Omega because of the homage to the Bond franchise, it’s titanium and it would be my daily beater. I’ve never been enamored with the small tumor at the 10:00 position and impulsively I made the purchase. Nice timepiece but the He escape valve and mediocre action of the bezel was the impetus to unload. I am fortunate to own numerous Rolex models and the Tudor Pelagos 39mm is outstanding. I do have the Ed White Speedy but otherwise no SeaMasters in the future until they excise the protrusion
@@CodyVella You apparently identify with you Omega and feel insulted due to your insecurities lol These timepieces are material goods and other than an individual’s predilection have no appeal. I own numerous Rolex watches, an Ed White Speedy, Tudor Pelagos and Sinn but they mean nothing other than a watch for the moment. For those Beta’s (see mirror) who believe a timepiece makes the person you should be one with your ever depreciating Omega 😂
@@racebannon2332 You never have NTTD. Pathetic liar.
Spot on with the NTTD lack of dial legibility! I've had mine for 5 months now and noticed this the day after I bought it. In most lighting conditions, it's totally fine, highly legible even and in the complete darkness also excellent. Where it struggles is low light and highly reflective scenarios. The lack of contrast, the skeleton hands and lack of double AR coating make this watch IMPOSSIBLE to read in low light conditions. You're the first one to nail this criticism! I can't help but feel this is a huge mark missed for the omega, as I imagine James bond should BE ABLE TO READ HIS WATCH no matter the ambient light!
Thanks!
Had the same issue with an Aquastar Deepstar. Such a shame
@@elliotdawson8355 Im having a hard time deciding which to keep which should go
@@Watch_Papa hmm, well for me it's an easy decision. I think you also nailed in your video. The NTTD is a more special watch. It's more quirky, but also more fun. The 39mm pelagos never really did it for me, I prefer the straight no nonsense original pelagos or the FXD versions. But the omega hands down! It might not be perfect, but no watch truly is. That's why we keep buying more! 😂
I love my NTTD but the low light does suck big time. Weird how this was so overlooked.
Great vid
Thanks so much for posting. Buying that case back now for my broad arrow! I'm also considering putting a black bezel on it. Do you know where I can get one of those too??
I think Spiralwinder has em, or ofrei

Ok next time
Didn’t you forget to put the secondary gasket ? That in the magnetic shield ? Normally on de movement holder ?
The gasket was there. The metal piece was the magnetic shield
@@Watch_Papa with the exhibition caseback on, is there no magnetic shield?
@@johnnhan4474 correct, no magnetic shield
Has anyone tried the uncle strap Ti bracelets for this one? I know it's a cheapo bracelet... but if the fit is better...
There’s a few ppl on instagram with wrist rolls saying those fit better
I got the bracelet and will upload a video soon!
I have one on my NTTD and I love it. The endlinks and design of the US1450 bracelet go well with the vintage theme of the watch
@@kevingamboa9420 agree
I hated the slack of the clasp. It feels very cheap. And I hated, there was no extension. So the perfect fit was impossible for me.

I do think it's the best looking SMP 300, mostly because of the matte dial and insert. Unfortunately, the MSRP for a new one is ridiculous. I hope Omega someday releases a SMP 300 between 38mm to 40mm. I'd get one. Tried several on at the AD... all of them were too large for me.
This. Omega won't make smaller watches though for the Seamaster which is sad.
@@anonypersona3189 I hope that with the revival of midsize watches, perhaps Omega will be encouraged to offer a smaller SMP 300 while keeping their 42mm for larger wrists thus pleasing everyone.
Try the planet ocean 2500
@@Watch_Papa recommending the bulbous, thick, heavy 39 P.O is the default rebuttal Omega fanboys always provides 🤣
