I quite agree with the concept of apprenticeship. It explains why after repeated exposure to challenging situations or certain tasks, things eventually feels effortless. And you get that awwnnn… ‘she is damn good’ comment from people. ‘Repetition breeds Mastery’

Thank you so much for sharing, Adedoyin! Let me give you an update-it's easier to be open here than on LinkedIn. Right after our Comms Avenue training, I had to sit down with the team and explain how much we needed a clear strategy, especially with the upcoming GA. I took everything you taught us and applied it, but honestly, the response was surprising. There were people saying the ideas I proposed weren’t really the role of Comms or part of our responsibilities. It was disheartening, but I remembered your advice about being prepared for resistance and not taking it personally. I'm beginning to realize that many organizations may not fully understand the role of a Communication Officer. Often, they see us as there to execute tasks rather than considering the external audience or the strategic impact we could bring. At times, it can feel toxic when someone acts as if they’re the "star of the show," but despite that, I’m committed to applying all the insights you’ve shared with us. It’s a work in progress, but I’m getting there.

The course touched on every intricate of PR. Recently, a connection on LinkedIn spoke about your mentorship class and I am thrilled about it. I wouldn't be able to make it physically due to NYSC but would appreciate an online mentorship, too.
