How to fix a Floyd Rose tremolo that isn't level. Setting your Floyd properly will make it work smoothly in both directions. The springs and the strings need to balance perfectly in order for the trem to be level. This trick makes it fast and easy to set the trem springs properly so that the Floyd will be level.

can you soak closed tuning machine to vinegar?
There should be a way to get them open so that you can use oil. (A lot of times the round plate in the back pops out.) If not, it’s worth a try. After soaking it, try to let the vinegar drain out. Then try soaking it in some olive oil. It probably won’t take too long for the oil to seep in and start working. Please let me know if this works for you!

good experiment . been wondering about bones vibrational dynamics as its organic . sounds broader frequancies withthe bone but its cancelled out with bar chords . it probably would sound great with open tuning and slide :)

removing the peg is not needed... just let lubricant flow into the joint between the tuner body and the split steel ring next to the white nylon ring... Gun lubricant is a good choice. Some guitars have old-fashioned tuning machines called Covered Gear tuners and they can be hard to turn since the shaft rides in an insert that is in the headstock. That is where a toothpick or Q-Tip comes in handy. The stickiness' is not always in the tuner gears ...
Very good point! Removing it made the video much easier to shoot. That's why I did it that way. Good to know about the gun lubricant! Do you have a specific oil that you recommend?

Oil should work. Also not a bad idea to make sure any screws or nuts are not too loose. I don’t over tighten though.
