The rare slow ballad from me, this is a minimalist jazz tune with little bells or whistles besides a brilliant EWI Solo. The photo used in the artwork for this piece is of La Jolla shores in the early 1900s, before it became the bustling powerhouse it is today, reminiscing on a simpler, more peaceful time. There are lyrics, too. Are they in this video? No!

Pink was my Music Technology 2 Midterm project; it's simple, utilizing only 3 chords for its verse and chorus and 4 for its bridge. Despite this, I tried to fill it to the brim with some nice, dreamy synthwave atmosphere to create an easy-to-groove-to tune that sounds very- well- Pink.

Ame Renka is one of my personal favorites- it's an introspective, rather simple pop esque ballad with a lot of atmosphere and timbral intrigue packed into it, which expands fully into introspective Jazz during the chorus and bridge, revealing a darker undertone beneath the somber and calm verses. This one has lyrics, being a translation of "Rain's Love Songs" are they present here? No!

Hey I was there too! Dope video!
Bones Malone was the clinician for my octet performance, he was dope. He did refer to the two black guys in our group as his “brothas” which was pretty weird but he’s a geezer in the biz so we didn’t really care. Also I took some acid one of the days I was there and showed up to jam on the bass at the Yamaha booth and got jumpscared by Jeff Coffin calling a blues. Best blues I ever played I tell you what! Lots of good memories on that trip to JEN. Honestly I wish I caught some more of the performances instead of getting insanely inebriated with the rest of my group, but I did get a good fill of some awesome music. The inebriation was pretty dope too though. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
This video is really well made. The editing was well done and the overall storyline was good. You clearly have the ability to make many different style of videos. I wish I lived somewhere where they had Jazz conventions like this

Keep going, you'll make it some day. Will your older music be on streaming platforms?
Some of my old music will be there eventually. Most of my music pre-Bow doesn’t meet my modern standards of production, but I do think a lot of my older tracks have some good ideas that would be done justice if I simply remade them. I think Ame Renka, Pink, and Dusk Sparks could all be good if I reimagined them and maybe added some vocals (heck, both Pink and Ame Renka were originally written with vocals!)
stop plagiarizing game music. you'd never do this with a movie soundtrack. if people respected games it'd be no issue but people act like games are just free game until someone like nintendo catches wind and you end up ruining it for everyone.

Hey just a heads up, this isn't plagiarism. Soundfonts are literally just a list of the particular instrumental plugins used to create a song. The equivalent for movies would just be finding out what instruments were used in a given composition and using them to create a new song. No one owns the concept of using a particular combination of instruments in a song, so there's 0 way anyone can "ruin" it for anyone else. Obviously if you just take whole songs and try to pass them off as yours that's a problem but that's not what's happening here.

Where is the sequal vid about the beatles samples? I want to use samples in my music and want to know how big companies use samples without permission
The Beatles sample vid I think you’re thinking about is in the description; it is not my own. Many musicians use samples without permission because it is considered transformative and part of the medium; however there definitely is a line in the sand when it comes to something like that.
@@Diembee i looked online and it all seemed vague to me, some people claiming a sample can be 30 seconds, others saying 0.3 seconds is too long of a sample
I don't want to be the one that goes "erm, ackshually", but I am going to anyways. While yes, SilvaGunner and most modern retro remixers use community made SoundFonts, most of the old SNES, DS, GBA and N64 games use Sampling in vein of the Amiga PC's that the soundtracks were most likely developed on. The SEGA Genesis uses the FM synthesis system, which isn't even REMOTELY close to soundfonts, instead using sine waves and oscilloscopes, though some soundtracks use samples for stuff like drums and effects. The best example for Soundfonts would be games that were developed for DOS and Windows 9X computers, like Rise of The Triad, DOOM, Duke Nukem, and most LucasArts titles.

"Stay with me" by Miki Matsubara, sounds very similar to "It's The Falling In Love" by Carole Bayer Sager. It sounds like it has the same beat. What stands out to me the most in CityPop is the Disco/Funk influence. The more I listend to CityPop the more I wanted to listen to more English Disco/Funk songs. "Redbone" by Childish Gambino sounds a lot like Citypop in my opinion.
