Why Good Guitarists Don’t Succeed
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
Many guitar players can play at an exceptional level but very few make the cut and are able to become commercial successes. It's clear that it takes much more than just raw talent to "make it." With social media now playing such a big role in our lives modern guitarists can feel immense pressure to live up to the high standards for success displayed on their screens 24/7. Traditional and modern...

Why Every Guitar Player On Social Media Is Better Than You
Просмотров 21 тыс.Год назад
Still new to making these kinds of videos and screwing up my sentences from time to time, but I will get better with each new video:) This video serves to explain why it is so common to see so many high-level guitar players in our social media feeds, offer some insight and understanding into the topic (i.e., from a marketing and business perspective and define what metrics really matter as a gu...
SO HYPED I SAW CHON OPEN FOR AAL!!!!
Their last album was so perfect it’s insane, not a single skip on there. They had nailed their sound so well, I really hope they decide to pick it up again, even if there’s no touring, just to hear music from those two together
Mario nd Erik use to be in band before chon and to each his own called the chasing shadows 😭
x1.25 is the way
I love CHON so much! The overall feel and vibe is second to none. I wonder how much influence they had on Intervals and Polyphia?
Time to go buy their albums in case they get taken down from the streaming websites
This was really well done. Their last album is one of my favorites....they were just getting started!
You should do this similarly about Misha & Tosin, I feel like those two set the roadmap for guys like Tim on how to monetize niche guitar-based music skills
I can't tell if the audio in the vid is real or not
Great interview, my bro!
Friend. Thank you for the thumbnail. Obrigado.
All my homies love James Stent
Awesome. This young dude is dope!
crazy to see James got into guitar by watching the GOAT mv, same here😂 great interview btw
That song was a game changer for many. I remember seeing the amount of covers circulating the internet at the time. It's crazy how a good riff can influence a person's life.
Sparce isnt pronounced like pair?
Great interview 🔥
Your song Garden of Eden goes hard. Keep up the great work.
@@benseraphin oh thank u :D that’s the plan! Thank u for checking out for reals 🔥

Very interesting all around 🎸🎸🎸
Proud of you xx
i remember seeing them on that AAL/ATB tour in 2014... how times have changed
One of my favorite bands of all time. Had tickets and plans to travel to go see them live in Hamburg 2020 and it got canceled. Still can't believe I didn't get to see them live. Absolutely amazing and inspiring music
I discovered Chon about a year ago man. Too late to even try to see them live. Makes me sad man.
Dead End Thanks Peace
I heard "I dunno, like, 12 hours" and I immediately thought "fuck why ain't I doing that?" welp, time to get practicing.

Wish I was a talented artist
I love Tim but his music sounds editaded AF.
Man.. was cool remember all of this, thanks for doing this video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent documentary. I just discovered these guys by accident. I was watching this guy teach MJ's" beat it" guitar solo. In another video he was breaking down tips as a beginner player. At the end he played part of Tim'd band song, G.O.A.T! I was blown away! I then looked up the song, watched the video and it took my musicianship to higher level. It refresh my love for music and it inspired me to continure to push my music out of the box. Do something different! Thanks for sharing . Great storytelling. #inspired
These guys are more Vista, CA. I went to high school with them. They live a couple blocks away from me
gooddest stuff
Permission to use your music in my next video? 🤘
HES FROM PLANO?!? I LIVE 10 MINS AWAY FROM PLANO WHATTTT
Fun fact: Mario was in a metalcore band called Christopher Robin before Chon.
11/10
Tim Hanson is the living Glam from metal family
I honestly thought he was a woman at first
Scott's been there from the genesis.. wish also he deserved these videos about him....
Step 1: be good Step 2: some marketing
Icon 💀💀
Topic os interesting and research is thorough, but the voice is too plain and repetitive, and some exemple like sample of music and picture of the signature guitar would be welcomed as it would break and improve the rythm.
I miss these legends
I wished I saw them live before disbanding
They got the nerdiest haircut
I don’t know if the guy want to be a model or a guitar player
he didnt have to leave one of his orchestra gigs to play more guitar, he did that for us
god bless chon
Good god man you need to add some background music or switch up the tone in your voice this video is just so fucking boring. you drone on in the same monotone voice for 30 minutes. i wonder what your retention is like
Tim is a brilliant musician, from the polyrhythms to the polyphonic melodies, so good!
