Why Good Guitarists Don’t Succeed
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
Many guitar players can play at an exceptional level but very few make the cut and are able to become commercial successes. It's clear that it takes much more than just raw talent to "make it." With social media now playing such a big role in our lives modern guitarists can feel immense pressure to live up to the high standards for success displayed on their screens 24/7. Traditional and modern...

Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
In this video I'll be breaking down the secret strategy that Polyphia has used since 2014 t help catapult them into the music mainstream. There was a video outlining their controversial rise and I wanted to get a little bit more in depth and explain what the band has actually done to propel their careers so that musicians who are interested can begin implementing this strategy to help them alon...

Просмотров 36 тыс.Год назад
In this video, I'll be exploring what has allowed modern guitar sensation Tim Henson to achieve a high level of success through the Instrument. Tim has been able to make a living for himself through music and partnered with internationally recognized brands like Dimarzio, Ibanez, and Neural DSP. With his own line of signature guitars that are in extremely high demand to his more creative approa...
How Social Media Traps Guitar Players... A Response To Jared Dines
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.Год назад
At the end of February Jared Dines made a post that I thought was incredibly insightful. He goes over some of the pitfalls many content creators and guitar players experience when trying to navigate social media. This is something that is rarely discussed in the guitar community. I figured I'd put my two cents in as the topic really interests me and I wanted to expand on his points. In this RUc...
Why Every Guitar Player On Social Media Is Better Than You
Просмотров 20 тыс.Год назад
Still new to making these kinds of videos and screwing up my sentences from time to time, but I will get better with each new video:) This video serves to explain why it is so common to see so many high-level guitar players in our social media feeds, offer some insight and understanding into the topic (i.e., from a marketing and business perspective and define what metrics really matter as a gu...
gooddest stuff
HES FROM PLANO?!? I LIVE 10 MINS AWAY FROM PLANO WHATTTT
Fun fact: Mario was in a metalcore band called Christopher Robin before Chon.
11/10
Tim Hanson is the living Glam from metal family
I honestly thought he was a woman at first
Scott's been there from the genesis.. wish also he deserved these videos about him....
Step 1: be good Step 2: some marketing
Icon 💀💀
Topic os interesting and research is thorough, but the voice is too plain and repetitive, and some exemple like sample of music and picture of the signature guitar would be welcomed as it would break and improve the rythm.
I miss these legends
I wished I saw them live before disbanding
They got the nerdiest haircut
I don’t know if the guy want to be a model or a guitar player
he didnt have to leave one of his orchestra gigs to play more guitar, he did that for us
god bless chon
Good god man you need to add some background music or switch up the tone in your voice this video is just so fucking boring. you drone on in the same monotone voice for 30 minutes. i wonder what your retention is like
Tim is a brilliant musician, from the polyrhythms to the polyphonic melodies, so good!
Icon? Really?
Yeah really
To Chon 🫡🤟😭
Such a tear jerk moment showing the clip of their first show again near the end of the documentary. The dramatic irony of looking at their youth, unawares of where their work and dreams would take them. Never give up!
I honestly expected you to play his work as he progressed in carrier instead of just giving a continous boring lecture with random photos/video of tim. I mean does it make sense to you if a fan of a musician is watching his "Documentary" without hearing Any of his art work. It holds the same value as the education system where people are expected to fully cram an historical event without actually knowing what the hell they actually do .
Smoked down with Burning the Masses back in like 2008 and Chris told us to check out CHON and I ended up following them back when their demos were just dropping, shit was fucking insane. Got to see them live once and meet Mario. Definitely a band that will go down in history.
Wow. I hope this is just a start for Tim. If it is the guitar world is going to be in for one hell of a show. He may set the bar to high for generations to come. Impressive. Does this mean we have a new goat? Maybe.
Born too late to explore the earth. Born too soon to explore the stars. Born just in time to see CHON live before they disbanded
People always talk about Tim Henson, but the truth is, mario and Erik, created a lot of the ideas he made famous on guitar.. Sure TIm is good, but he doesnt hold a candle to Mario and Erik... I hope they make music again in the future. They are missed.
Thank you for taking the time to make this documentary. I saw Chon twice with AAL and once on the SCB tour with Polyphia. It still breaks my heart that'll they'll probably never make music together again or tour 😭😭
To find your obsession so early is such a blessing. To be really good at one thing is such an amazing thing. I wish i find mine soon. Too much of a jack of all trades master of none person. :/
A jack of all trades is a master of none but often still better than a master of one.
Can believe they’re done making music… saw them 4 different times in CA UP AND DOWNT HE STATE…
I didn’t know the Muppets creator was also a famous musician!
Sounds like someone who’s trying not to fall asleep is half heartedly reading something a crappy AI shat out.
Also anyone else just ficking devastated that eternity forever just dropped 4 bangers and disappeared? Don't come at me with gold necklace its not even close
8:14 song?
Why is this voice always speaking???
That man worked hard for his vision and it paid off
I got to see them in San Antonio. Thank you, lord, for giving me the opportunity to see them live. I will cherish it forever. :))
🙏🏻 respec 🤘🏻🌹🤍
Friend: Bro how did you do that!? Tim: Practice... Now that's inspiring😎
Y'all forgot to mention that he is a pioneer of non-binary fagg metal.
Big lie! they are alien
Can someone find this metal band at 8:17 ? Were they members doing this? It sounds sick as fuck
wondering the same thing. WTF that was sick.
looks like To Each His Own at the next slide.
ruclips.net/video/noSPJE-R-is/видео.html
is it me or does anyone else here want to know what band attacked polyphia and called them a bunch of rich kids?
Duude. Super accurate and informative. Thanks for doing this for all the homies 😢. Hope you follow and document Erick's project now
It is wild how much they predicted the change of genre amongst guitar instrumental driven music, they could have taken the easy metal route but they instead doubled down on a new sound. So glad we got to be around for the best 8 years of music in my life
If you gotta go out, go out on your own terms. I’ve only known of these guys for 2-3 years, and while it sucks to hear this, it still feels complete. They did what they came to do. And, they’re all such beasts that I have a hard time imagining that there won’t be positive things coming from all of them in the future. Whether it’s CHON, or another incarnation of something else, I’d bet money it will still kick ass.
12 hours a day , that got me
Good god... he sounds like ping-pong balls randomly shot at a fretboard. It's cold, clinical and totally devoid of sound, rhythm, feel, melody and soul. Style over substance writ large.
Being privileged is also a point of view. To my POV and how I lived and what I got in life, Tim IS privileged (idk about the others) but it doesn't take away all his efforts and achievements. :)
So wait, CHON didnt mean Camarena Hansel Other Nathan?
its funny to think of someone like him as a polarizing figure, but like you said yourself thats mostly envy. But all those people would likely do what he did, which is live a little after not having that opportunity for most of your life.. lol
