Beautifully played. The late piano pieces of Brahms are incredible. For instance, the slow op 118 no 6 (with Dies Irae motive) is almost unbearable sad and dark.

Thank you! Yes the microphones were for recording - it was actually multiple set ups for a specific reason. The sound in this video was not from those microphones 🎤 😅

@@YalinChiPiano E-flat Minor is a great one! The C Minor (No. 7) is very interesting - bell images, I think. I know you already play No. 1. What a wild ride! I played No. 1, No. 5, and No. 9 on my master's piano recital.

Thank you for sharing this. I remember seeing Earl Wild perform a number of his Rachmaninoff song transcriptions. You could tell he had a thorough knowledge of the composer's songs and transcription method, rendering a convincing extension of Rachmaninoff's legacy.
