No one cares... at least not the people who have lives of their own who just want to get a coffee and get out. And they will shout and scream if they don't get their caffeine hit.
Have you considered that the people serving you are humans? Do you not thank the people behind the counter? When I worked at a fast food place this was really common to have decent humans tell you about something they just succeeded in. At my local coffee shop it’s even more so, and i often get into conversations with the baristas even if im in a rush.

the whole mom n pop shop i work at is like the size of 3-4 school busses, id be speed walking in circles😂 luckily if everything’s done, cleaned and we’re not busy we just sit around on our phones or hit the weed pen n play games! i prefer it when it’s busy but i also love to cook for ppl
