Story: “phineas and ferb had just built a device that would give them both superpowers. however, during another one of his failed schemes, dr. Heinz doofenshmirtz’s new inator would explode and collide with phineas and ferb’s device, which led to a massive explosion that led everything on earth to decay rapidly phineas survived because he was testing the device on himself at the time of the collision eventually everyone on earth died except phineas who was forced to watch his entire world rot during a summer that was supposed to be fun. The only other person on earth who’s still alive is Isabella. However due to the machine, she’s rotting and decaying as if she was long dead. After the song, Isabella confesses her love to phineas and dies shortly afterwards.” I hope you enjoy reading this 😅

Idk, probably just focused on the music more then the scary stuff.
If I had to take a quess, it's because they figured out that it's not something that really happened, atleast not in their universe. Meaning that it wouldn't be that difficult to take precautions for something like this to not happen, hence why they were able to quickly calm down. Or maybe I am just looking too much into it, I do that often, afterall, trying to figure out the meaning and such.
As for before the lyrics, as Isabella had said, they concluded that Phineas was having a nightmare, nothing more, with this rationalised in their mind, they weren't as bothered by it.
