    I love dates! Unfortunately I had gestational diabetes and was told to strictly avoid dried fruit 😭.

      I recommend to Watch the full video, dates are an exception they stimulate the pancreas to increase insulin and they contain a lot of fibre making them a low glycemic food, eat them prior to some exercise or movement to help with blood sugar regulation or consume them as a dessert with a main meal since protein and fat with slow down digestion of sugar as well. Even with your condition you can eat dates! I hope this helps 🙏🏻

    Great piece! It touches on my main Problem that I have with all popular nutrition-trends: Their proponents and by extension the concepts completely disregard biodiversity by way of debating and trying to convince everyone to do what works for them individually. Brian Johnson is no exception because he says he found THE optimal way of living.

    How many dates would you recommend at 4 weeks before the due date for pregnant women? Asking for a friend 😉

      In the study they did 4 dates per day for 4 weeks, I recommend 2-4 per day but remain consistent for the entire 4 weeks. You can make treats, slices, add them to smoothies, dice them in salads. 👌🏻

      Subtitle parasite can cause imbalance in your gut leading to dis regulation of hormones effecting your hunger, mood and cravings, so it can be hard to identify. Once every year to 3 years a cleanse should be done, treat it like servicing a car

    Muscle mass loss occurs whenever zero calories are coming in and the workouts are intensive. Even a lean person has enough fat reserves to last several days. To say that dropping a few calories or even skipping a meal will result in muscle mass loss is ludicrous. The body feeding on muscle tissue is the absolute last source of usable nourishment.

      I add it to slow the digestion of caffeine, suppress hunger for longer and the med chain fats are fast digesting providing energy

      Everything is relative, to red lentils yes they are more pricey. But black lentils is a lot cheaper than any canned legume since they are dry, you can rotate red lentils and have black once to twice a week 👌🏻

      When you look at any natural spice they all have there own polyphenols and effects on the body, most of them having some form of an anti inflammatory effect. But the fantastic thing is they actually make the food taste amazing!! So eat any spice, change it up with new flavors to allow for variety, that way it is sustainable.

      If you like rice I recommend eat it! The longest living regions in the world have a lot of rice in their diet, variety is key, buy organic where you can, I have white rice, black rice occasionally, quinoa, I have them all and pick and choose what I am craving, if you told me to eat black lentils everyday for the rest of my life I would quit after 6 weeks!

    9:40 hilarious. I was so tempted to fry that broccoli in garlic and olive oil the Italian way… and throw away the ginger lol. I only like ginger in Asian cuisine. I do have to say that I am still grateful at he shared his meals with us. I would like more videos on variety of the blueprint if you were assigned that task. I also would like a Mexican , Italian, Indian, Japanese and Chinese version of super veggie . On top of the cooked black lentils I put raw onion, raw cilantro + white vinegar for the nitrates to convert into nitric oxide ( Dr Esselstyn cardiologist) . I wanted to add calabacita cooked in tomato and place that on top. Maybe add a roasted deseeded poblano pepper. Or a raw jalapeño. What do you think? I think you should make a series on this.

      All that sounds amazing, if it is a whole food, why not! 🤷 Japanese you could add some kimchi, Indian easy you could do curry powder or Garam masala, Italian it looks like you got that covered 😂, Thai with some cilantro as you did. See easy!

    Great video. Great idea to save money, too. Thanks. The chemical sweeteners, will have to stay out, for me. I’ll use a sweet fruit as the sweetener. Yeah, it’s sugar but it’s nature’s sugar. Man tainted, highly processed Stevia is getting bad press now. Xylitol will do also, once the testing and effects are monitored. Stick with God given, untainted, unrefined foods as much as possible. 😊

    You do realize that any botanist will tell you that the chemistry you mention as being nutritionally "beneficial" to humans were actually developed as the plant's method of defense against herbivory. All members of the mustard family (Brassicaceae, including broccoli ) contain these compounds.Same for oxalates found in dark greens such as spinach. If you consume these compounds in excess, they could eventually cause gastric upset, gout and kidney problems. Moderation.

      We all have sensitivities, it could be a type of sugar or compound in avocado that your body may react to causing cramps, with gas and bloating it is usually a FODMAP, avocado has pereitol sugar molecule, if your body can’t digest it, it will pass through to the large intestine, ferment and cause gas/bloating. I recommend removing avo from your diet and maybe bring it back in a few months with only having a teaspoon to see if your body reacts. There are plenty of healthy monounsaturated fats such as nuts and seeds 👍🏻 I hope this helps

    I'll definitely be making the tofu. I've got a packet of black lentils in the pantry. I love legumes. I plan on cooking more with lentils. I also love chickpeas. ❤❤❤❤

    This was my problem, cut down calories by 1000 a day and exercised daily. Had heart palpitations, fatigue, horrid mental state all to try and loose a few pounds. Didn’t help I was totally ignoring macros too. Once I started hitting my protein and carb goals and went into a smaller calorie deficit, I actually became consistent and happier

      You can go for a nutrition course for a couple of weeks, but a proper nutritionist has a Bachelors degree in nutritional science and are registered at the nutrition society of Australia, so actually yea I am registered 🤙🏻

    Pure stevia extract does not contain erythoyol, but you have to be mindful not to use a whole lot because it’s STRONG

      That is correct!! But it is super expensive, and all stevia in stores are the erythoyol ones, the only one I could find is available online, even healthfood stores only sell the erythoyol type 😂

      We are all respond differently to any diet, sometimes our body can benefit from a phase of eating just plant foods or fruit, but you are correct, a lifetime of eating a restrictive diet? For most, maybe no.

      My ones are mung beans that are split, they are also called mung Dahl, or yellow split peas. If you pulse it in a blender or crush them, they should be fine to use
