Nobody really knows. Not even the people at Sega knows or the vs battle wiki. You need to go to the source and the creator of sonic himself and ask him. Cause I'm pretty sure Sega the office people don't really care about how fast sonic is, they just wanna make games and sell them and make money and watch the sheep's in the herd spend. To be honest, if I created a fictional character, the power scaling would be all over the place to and so would the story and inconsistent powers and abilities and what is and isn't canon to said universe. Also I love when people in vs battles wanna talk about black holes and how they work, I love that, I really do, because most of you are wanna be pretend scientist and astrologers and wanna compare games and fictional characters to real life, like as if this said character was real, they would be doing this in real life, when in reality they wouldn't at all, the boys TV show gets it right when it comes to real life physics, you can't compare mario and sonic universes, they don't work the same and never will. Which is why mario will never age or die in his games and sonic will, but he'll be brought back later, because his the mascot. But in real life, they be literally dead from a black hole, no cartoon character or fictional character you can name would survive our universe and black hole, sense still none of you have answers to how our universe works and how it was created and also if white holes actually exist or also other planet and if we can actually create a new whole universe. This is also another reason why the vs battle community is one of the most toxic places and why people tend to leave it, because alot of you get obsessed and emotional over a fictional character or characters, that doesn't even exist and never will exist (well except maybe master chief and cortana, but we gonna wait until like 1000 years for that to happen), doom slayer will never happen, no human being can go straight to hell and conquer it all and have infinite, infinite strength doesn't exist, infinite speed doesn't exist, human beings can't magical reality warp and manipulate time and you can't get powers from eating mushrooms. The only thing that is infinite is energy and that's it

I keep enjoying most Sonic games. I never touch the fan made PC game stuff, other mods or game hacks. I've never been that kind of fan who thinks he knows better than the developers and never felt the urge to claim victory over someone else' mental property. Most fans are just there for destruction and interruption. Like hooligans, only in bad.

Crazy thing is sonic isn't even light speed, he said it himself, light speed is nothing to him, just with the fact that sonic can move in a white space where there is no time in sonic generations while other characters can't shows that sonic is not only light speed but speed itself is literally irrelevant to him meaning no matter how fast you can get, you can never surpass his speed, it's limitless, and we're not even talking about super sonic, super sonic 2 or hyper sonic there, nor are we talking about sonic from the archie comics, this is also why I sometimes I kinda get annoyed when people downplay sonic and underestimate him to the point where he scales even lower than literally naruto himself when his own base form can literally destroy all of the naruto verse, crazier thing is the super form itself is only limited by the user's thoughts which means perfect chaos who is actaully using a super state has literally limitless power, yet sonic in his own base form had enough power to defeat him, meaning that sonic's own strength can actaully surpass his enemies imagination itself, by that im saying perfect chaos targeted sonic himself, which means he might have been imagining himself to be stronger than sonic yet sonic have still won against perfect chaos, wltho you don't have to take that last feat seriously cause it's just a theory and perfect chaos might be a blinded by rage and negative thoughts so you don't have to take that feat seriously and confirm it, but even without it, sonic's own regular speed in base form itself is just infinite which already puts sonic at a very high level

Your whole point about time travel being a light speed feat simply isn’t true. First off, while still technically hypothetical, the theory of approaching the speed of light isn’t that you LITERALLY time travel, it’s that your perception of time and thus your aging would progress at a slower rate than the rest of the universe, allowing you to effectively travel forward in time but in reality you’re just aging slower. Backwards time travel, both in sci fi and scientific theory, is NOT possible through this. You would have to punch a hole through space time and travel through it, which is not inherently a light speed feat. If it was, every time Sonic used the light speed dash, he would time travel. Additionally it would be impossible to choose whether you go forward or back. For these reasons we can assume that while speed IS required, it’s more of a CW flash situation where Sonic is more just punching a hole. With that said, the light speed dash is explicitly stated to be light speed lol

Good watch... Here's something nobody is talking about. If Sonic is FTL, logically Knuckles would have to be to. They were rivals. Sonic just being 3-5x as fast would make him hard to hit. Any more than that, we're talking near impossible. Knuckles can't be like the speed of Sound, if Sonic is FTL.

12:40 yeah like i loved the sonic frontiers spindash but i agree that is lame that its just a boost reskin and the thing of crounching and press multiple times LT to charge a spindash its pointless because you can just move and hold LT to instantly spindash or i hate the fact when you charge a spindash in the air to do a drop dash you get stuck in the air leading to some unfair deaths caused by the fact you cant move
