    Wow, haven't seen one of these old girls running in years... I've said this on many other farming channels that run older equipment, these old machines may be old but, they're still far superior in many many ways. That 303 sounds good for her age. Thanks for sharing. Cheers :)

    My dad had a 303 as his first self propelled. It didn't have a cab on it and I think the head was.13' I am sure it couldn't have handled 20' head even in the crops raised back in the early sixties when he had it. I don't know what the difference is but I know th those beans they are cutting are a big yield difference. Something is different here.

      A lot has changed in lube oil and grease since then. Beans that dry you can harvest with a badminton racket and a sack tho... those would probably shell out if he honked at them.

    Dad had a 2 row header on his 303. He called it Blue Bunny as in the ice cream. itwas just plain good. He said there was one year where winter snow set in early. He was able to keep going with the Blue Bunny as it could ride on top of the ground with out sinking into deep into the frost. The neighbors had much larger combines and got stuck. Fun to see these videos. I was probably 4 or 5 when Blue Bunny gave up the ghost. I recall he had valve problems on the engine toward the end in the early 80's.

      @classicihfarming7691 irrigate land and what kind of soil? We have all non irrigated and most of it is red clay and about 70 acres of sandy dirt and that by far yields the worst for us

    • @classicihfarming7691
      @classicihfarming7691 11 месяцев назад

      @aaronp5089 no irrigation, just good dirt. Nothing out of the ordinary for us to have 180-190 corn, this feild was making 200, most the bigger farmers around us are making about 225+. But by all means come next harvest and watch in person.
