Thanks! The 'unable next ALT' message will display when the FMS predicts the plane won't be able to reach the next altitude constraint in the flight plan. This is likely due to the rate of climb with the given speed in the distance between the waypoints. I suggest setting a slower speed/steeper rate of climb and see if it clears the message, or overriding the given altitude constraint for a lower one. As for unable RNP I'd guess this is a bug to do with the sim/plane not knowing the GPS position of the plane. Do you know when this pops up or can you replicate the error message as this will likely not allow precision approaches to be flown so should be reported to the dev team if it is a bug

A lot of the smaller airports don’t have ILS, so it would be a DME or VOR chart approach. The other option is if the plane has a Garmin G3000 or G5000 a visual approach can be programmed in to any airport to be flow by the autopilot. But I agree, especially in career mode the weather can be terrible.

It’s possible to activate the Synthetic Vision on the PC-12, although the menus for that are not intuitive.

Hi, I can try to help you out. Just a couple of questions, Which approach procedure are you flying? Or is it not arming for any of them? Is it just this plane it’s not working in or multiple planes? With the VNAV, I would first check that altitudes are programmed into the FMS by selecting the 'Cross' option in the drop-down above the flight plan and the manually selected altitude is set at whatever the next altitude you need is. The approach is a little trickier as there could be a few different factors, If its easier I could jump in a discord call and go through it with you to try work out whats happening?

There is a bug with the oxygen on the Pilatus planes at the moment. They are supposed to be pressurised up to FL30 but the in game system is bugged. What I would recommend is requesting from ATC to lower your flight level to FL19 or 19000ft

It’s fast becoming one of my favourite planes to fly in FS. Although the FMS has its bugs in the game is very easy and initiative to use! And the plane is a joy to fly!

I’m glad the video helped so the setting yours up! Yeah, I’m also left handed so had the same conundrum. What I might eventually do is upgrade and get a stand alone joystick and throttle.

Thanks! I’m planning on doing short videos and a full flight for most of the popular planes (TBM 930, Vision Jet etc) in the game, I’ve already got my first video for the PC-12 and will release the next two for that today. Then I’m going to move onto some of the more niche planes.

@@willie2333 I’m going to release a series for the basics of FS2024 soon but the in game tutorials are more than adequate for the very basics. But from the videos I’ve got out I’d recommend the G1000 series which should get you up and stable in the Cessna 172.

I can try help you out, a few questions: 1. What plane are you flying? 2. When you put the ILS in are you selecting straight to or vectors? 3. I’m guessing it’s flying the rest of the flight path correctly? 4. Is it arming the vnav to change your altitude? 5. Are you activating the ILS approach when close to the IAF? I can jump in a discord call to try work out what’s going on if that would be easier?

When I've looked into it it seems like the game tries to set up a 'default' route with the missions. When I've flown more I've realised it's sometimes better not to follow the given path. For the skydiving missions the only way I've ever hit the time constraint is doing all the setup and takeoff. Skip to the ascent to the jump with the skip shortcut. Then, aggressively descend (Like they do in real life) and manually do the landing. And even then I've never got it close to 100%.

I'm glad I've taught at least one person something with these videos then :). Absolutely I can. My next video is going to be a full flight to cover everything the G1000 videos covered and show how I'd complete a full flight with them but after that, I'll make some videos for the Pilatus and Beechcraft. Which Beechcraft in particular is it you're wanting covering?

Thanks! Glad it helped. The shifter button comes from years of playing elite dangerous with the T.flight and having so many systems to manage and not enough buttons. On that game each of the 4 thumb buttons on the throttle acted as a shifter for a different set of controls.

Hey, yeah set your picture and resoloution in the settings menu. I had a play about to find which resoloutions and timelapse interals work best.
