Bad drivers too.
I don't have a problem with crime or traffic, those things don't bother me at all. And I definitely LOVE rain. I hate the sun with all my guts.
Been in Seattle for forty years and love it. It has the same problems as most US cities. As far as the Seattle Freeze goes, yes people tend to be a little more reserved than some other places, but I've found that if you initiate conservation most people will respond in a cordial manner. So come out of that "it's not like home" mentality and open up to all the beauty and culture Seattle has to offer.
Informative thank you
Lot of drugs there
How would it be for an English man to move there
My beautiful lady lives in Seattle I'm in UK I want her to relocate to England. She's in King too
Notice how ALL the comments are for Western WA/greater Puget Sound. Do you see even ONE comment against living here from anywhere in EASTERN WA????? I can't find one. Interesting dichotomy, no?
Riff Raff is in Monroe riff Raff is in Bellevue and all the outskirts cities more drugs are in the suburbs I'm a Washington light so I know the city just like you
Riff Raff is everywhere
Hello, I live in Klahanie. The HOA and board want to run a mega project but they are depriving the voting right of the home owners. Are you interested to report that in your channel?
Seattle is decent place to live IF you are rich. If you aren't, then then the only place you'll be able to afford will be in a slum neighborhood, which on a per capita basis has more crime, drugs, homelessness, and prostitution than Los Angeles. Seattle's politicians are spineless cowards who let corporate overlords and wealthy retirees from other cities move in and jack up the price of every goddamn thing.
Alot Celebrities have second and third homes in Issaquah
Idk why but I want to make this jump
Look no further than your insane liberal governor and legislature that have destroyed Seattle and the entire state economy. They have created homelessness and crime.
I NEED THIS PLAN ON MOVING SOON
Thank you! Really comprehensive overview of the area and choices. 😊 You truly know Seattle!
Cant wait to leave this dump.
Yall don't even know about the local scoop should of never went out of business it was a retro dinner with everything refurbished from 1940s 1960ish
The truth is Seattle has horrible politicians. While we should have great leaders we simply have voted for more crime and more homelessness. Andd how many terrorists are harbored in Seattle since we are a sanctuary city?
Air pollution?
Good information, thanks. Have lived in Seattle - Tacoma area for 70 years and am on my 4th house plus rented apartments a couple of times. Overall tax burden is pretty high here but it affects you differently depending on your stage in life. If you're young and working at a pretty well paid job, it's probably worth owning a home here as you are saving a lot (not having an income tax) on income tax during that stage in life so you can afford the real estate tax that goes along with a relatively over priced home, as long as you'll own a minimum of 10 years (otherwise friction of sales commissions, etc will kill you). Once you retire though, you have an awfully high amount of your wealth tied up in a somewhat overpriced home and are paying high property taxes because of that value, without the working income to support it. My homes have appreciated a lot in the 70 years I've lived here but I'm sure I would have been financially better off to rent and have my money invested instead. But then you are moving rental to rental and don't have the control over your home which to me was the reason it was worth buying. Rent if you can stand it and keep your money invested. Buy if you are committed long term and can't stand the turmoil of moving occasionally. Otherwise the video is spot on with crime, traffic, crowding, and far left leadership ruining a once beautiful place.
I hate that cookie cutter bullshit!
Been living here for 4 years. Love Seattle!
I left three years ago...when I moved to the Desert SW..they welcomed me to America..and I throughly love red dry Rock's and dried sagebrush and dry air and dry dry dry
You could make your video shorter. You are repeating things over and over.
Seattle is the greatest city in North America.
Because it’s run by communists
It’s Bryant they hate on me mofo
Moving to Seattle soon myself around February 2025 is there anything I should know about Seattle or is it pretty similar to Nashville?
Great video, I’m from LA so prices don’t seem too expensive
Ooh, friendly dis on Portland, lol. I like your videos, thanks
Thanks for watching!
A state by state comparison of property tax is misleading. You have to check by county. King county is one of the highest property tax in the state, along wit the Tacoma area. If you look at counties on the east side of the mountains it's a LOT lower.
Thank my lucky stars you didn't list Edmonds! It's nice having a nice little area hidden near the water.
Nobody in any of these videos ever mentions Edmonds. So much the luckier for us!
Try 1 million And 11k property tax in seattle 2024
Good please move!
not sure how i stumbled upon this video but if you are thinking about bothell avoid the northern part of bothell everett highway around thrashers corner. That intersection absolutely sucks and will delay your commute home by 15 minutes alone
Wrong - Issaquah for example The Washington State Office of Financial Management published updated population data for April 1, 2024 that show Issaquah's total population at 41,500, a 7.2 percent increase from the 2020 population of 38,700.
Bellevue owns you
Your sales tax figures are WRONG! It might be 5.4% outside of the Seattle Area but here in Seattle it's 10.1% sales tax. ABUSIVE! This really hurts us seniors on a fixed income! I'm leaving!
In the video I stated “sales tax will be right around 10% depending where exactly in Seattle metro you are”
STOP trying to get people to move here! Stay where you’re at! Don’t need new people here!😡
I love how you all you could show for the mariners was making the playoffs 😂
SoCal born and raised here, currently been livin in Portland for almost 10 years. Fuckin sucks here. Portland is a shithole, I'm savin up for Seattle lol
Dude don't do it, Seattle is even more expensive and it's impossible to find a place to live. You're honestly better back in SoCal, just sayin'.
I hate Seattle 💩🗑
15:25 This is an example of why the American people are so stupid, spoiled and entitled. This person is whining because home values have gone up and the small town feel have changed since 1961. Nineteen Hundred and Freakin Sixty One!!! That's over 60 years ago. Do they expect the world to just stop and never change? The US population was 179million in 1960. Now it's 335million. Jesus!
Wow, he really bought into the "the homeless are freeloaders" thing. And please, of COURSE he can discuss crime statistics, just not for a particular home or neighborhood. This is BS.
Look... The reason for all our problems is simply the fact government has failed us. They failed to do their job & plan for housing & infrastructure. Because of their failure we now have a shortage on housing & that effects low income because shortages lead to higher prices. We all knew this predicted this 40-50 years ago and govt failed us. Most of the biggest failures... Ron Sims King co executive who railroaded his opinions thru the county council into New guidelines & laws. Gov Gregoire & other Democrats started to abuse their positions of power by denying the people the infrastructure we demanded from our last Republican governor. Washington was never a liberal state & the election of 1984 was a turning point when we voted for Ronald Reagan, but refused to re-elect our Republican governor, former King co executive John Spellman. It would mark the last time a Republican governor ran this state & mark the last time we elected a Republican as President. However it wasn't until 2024elections that Democrats have served as governor more times than Republicans have. This was not a liberal state, we are a moderate state which right now has been kidnapped by Dictators posing as Democrats and Republicans have totally given up ever occupying the governors mansion again & for good reason... the Washington state Republican party refuses to support moderate candidates & hand pick radical rooten tooten shootem up Sheriff types who chewed nails rather than tobacco, in a previous life. A candidate like that can't win in this state. We arent Texas but Republicans here are recklessly destroying the chance of a Republican ever running this state again & Republicans in this state today have been transformed into fascists consumed with bitterness from decades of being voted out of power while Democrats act like their poop don't stink & take for granted the power the people gave them. They act more like a monarchy & hand pick their successor because it only takes one vote to win an election in this state... our Lord Governor, his heinesty, ruler of everything Washington -except DC. I know this all sounds crazy, trust me it is,but it's not far from the truth. I simply explained our states politics by entertaining the reader with laughter. Preparations for when they do move here & plop down a million dollars for a poorly built, remodeled amateur styled house built 1927 in which the colors of new paint will disgust most who view it. You speak of a city transforming with a wealthier crowd of high tech biggies who trust me were seriously overpaid decades ago & still are. Wages from the tech industry which has no real physical product to sell which means there is no real industry, instead they sell software & I can't wait when the AI industry replaces them. They have made a fortune selling nothing & have drove up the price of housing so high we have to import buyers because nobody here can afford to die in the city where they were born. This guy acts as if it's not all that bad. It's change. Change happens. What an ignorant ruthless way of doing nothing to solve the problem. You use state averages & compare to national averages & claim Seattle is no different! Ok outrageous. Why not use Seattle or King County averages & compare to national averages? Your logic is to compare Apples to Oranges by painting the apple orange. See? It's average. You fool no one & proves you did not edit your script. This nation is literally turning 3rd world & somehow this dude calls it progress? Homelessness is progress? It's a total lack of respect is what it is. No wonder homeless people shit in the street. They need direction & your explanation calls it an unfortunate change when a city becomes rich. Oh, boo hoo. So we weep then what? Even Hitler had plans. You call it a problem for getting rich. It's a problem because their housing was taken from them by YOUR INDUSTRY who put priced them due to our government not building enough housing. Hello? Tell me, were you a communist before you became a Democrat? I was a Republican before I became a Democrat. Today I just don't bother to vote. Both parties have failed me, failed my city. Today I have no faith in either party. I fully accept the fact they would rather I die homeless in our streets. I gave up on either of my Party ever fixing the issues we need fixed. In 2035 Harvard predicts half of all Americans age 75 will be homeless. I will be one of them. So go ahead... Blame me. You also failed to mention the so-called Light Rail system we are building for the past 30 years was shoved down our throats at a cost of $165-billion now... Which is more than we spent to send all the Apollo missions to the moon & back. More than we spent to invent use & drop the first Atomic Bomb. And lite rail east of Seattle still does not connect to downtown Seattle because those idiots at the choochoo board put a train onto a floating bridge designed for cars. Not heavy trains. See a floating bridge is just a boat. Nobody has built a railroad on a boat because... It's a stupid plan. That is also Sound Transit, the light rail dictatorship which has abused their positions of power & overspent what we all voted for 3 times now. Their so called board of directors, who now tax the city of Marysville when that city isn't even in the planning to ever get lite rail, the board of directors is a lifetime appointment & we need to make it an electable every 4 year voting position. Nobody spending $165-billion dollars should get that power simply by a county executive hand picking a person every 40 years. No, they need to be elected to the board not appointed for life. The end
Back stabbing passive aggressive bring everyone down eventually. You have to come here with status or money or bring a group of people with you, Seattle people are about that clique thang. You gotta seem special so they will want to include and eventually adopt you. Go mid Washington it isn’t like that, just the cities and lib areas
Yep, there's a mindset in Seattle which is `we are all in this together, but I personally want you to go away'. ( I don't get it )
Good luck washington hates californians and others . The taxes are insane the drugs addiction and violence is high and let's not forget the cold should and racism
It's Archie (with a beard) from the comic strip, lol
