I have a 2003 Cadillac Seville make a grinding noise then when the wooden go all the way up got you about 3 inches away and it won't go up try a couple hours later still won't go up is it the regulator or the motor how do I fix it what is the cost to replace it if I do it myself if I pay someone to do it
How about the right side do i flip it and what to do if not marked

@@Redtrened123 cables rust 60 percent of the time, should inspect the teeth, they sell the same type. So if it's for longevity cross your fingers

Bro the wiring is too loose in mine. I already have a new sprocket but the wire won’t tighten
Sounds like the sprocket is aftermarket, I have kits that are desgined for the sprocket/spools. Ebay link should be above.

What part did you buy, the cheap ones online don't fit. You need new cables, genuine ones are tight as well

Hello, not sure if it fails the same. Panel looks different from what I remember. Probably the same process, can be very hard to do.
Mine came unspooled without being able to mark it😢
Top cable goes to nipple side of spool.
Man I’ve been wrestling this forever I think I’m gonna tap. No matter, which way I spilled this thing. Once I go to my turn it’s too tight

Should I take off the panel or I can change the small pully on its place just remove it
I remove the panel, two bolts on the glass. Painters tape to hold glass up. 10 more 10mm and the panel comes right out. So a couple of minutes of work to inspect your work. If you twist wrong and attach the motor and hit the button you might crunch the cables

I would pull it, you want to check to make sure the cables are not over lapping. Just buy some good painters tape. Get to the two 10 mm bolts that go to the glass. Pull it up, tape it. Then it's like 13x 10mm bolts

Behind the handle and the pull closed area are two number #2 Phillips. Then you push the window down. Remove the two 10mm glass bolts. Tape the window up, be careful you can have a special glass, so put a lot of painters tape. Then there is about 10-10mm bolts to pull panel. Check above, should have a link to my eBay. I sell just the kits now with the cables. I have a better design then the original
Done hundreds of these. The biggest issue is when they are shipped under tension and held with zip ties. So many times ive had to stop guys from just cutting the zip ties without securing the regulator. No foresight with some guys. One of the many reasons that I left auto glass after 24 years.
I would say stopping them was very nice of you. Those days can become a blurry and fast. So the ones that learned will always remember you. The industry is just getting worse. Bad parts are all over, so much wasted time now unfortunately.
Exactly, I have the jump back method mastered.

I learned this the hard way😂😂😂 Thank God I still have all ten digits but I do have a nice size scar to remind me. The real fun is having to rivet everything back together. A wise man once told me: "never stick your fingers where you wouldn't stick your d#@!".

I use the zip tie on some panels for transportation/shipping. I don't want it to come out of the panel. I believe it was just this panel, I do a bunch of testing and probably felt it not click in as good. Once you put the motor on it holds it.

Man, you really under sell what a pain in the ass that last flip is. But thanks to this video after 10 min of fiddling I finally got it.
I should put a warning label, I know it's crazy at times. I build a bunch at once, it's like "going to the gym." Follow my eBay and if you need anything not listed give me a shout!
