Bea and Myra (the characters)really cared about the other women and protecting them from bullying and being taken advantage of. All were good convincing actors getting reactions from the audience as this is what a good actor does.

Antonia McNally and Kay White are my personal favs. Antonia was pure class, the perfect strong clever woman behind a crime boss husband. Kay White was pure entertainment. Nola and Bev were scary. Wouldn't want to bump into them anywhere. Kate Petersen had a great story, brilliantly portrayed. Her facial expression as she strangles Judy is the stuff of nightmares. Ruth Ballinger was very like McNally but Ruth's story and business was dark and all sorts of wrong. I don't think any of the other candidates with sink that low. Even the Freak Ferguson was disgusted by her and rightly so. Lou was a bad egg.

I laughed more when Lizzie got religioius and kept mis pronouncing the words and phrases of christianity. but... out of this lot... Probably "give me back me axe" as even Vera had trouble keeping a straight face.

Lou, Marie, Nola and Reb were evil but that made for some entertaining programmes. Myra was the best top dog and the best in a fight but because she was a goody goody she was a bit boring. Bea Smith was my favourite character.

I’ll never understand why Smith didn’t kill Ferguson good and proper and ensure she was dead during the fire. Bashing Ferguson was never going to solve Smith’s problems and I doubt a murderess like Smith couldn’t kill her

The end-of-year cliffhanger for 1984-85 should have been the explosion at the old factory where Ann and Meg were tied up, not "Jane Doe" speaking for the first time saying Pixie was being attacked

Considering how much Bea Smith ment to this brilliant show... She was prisonor To kill her off like that was a disgrace... I guess they wanted the viewers knowing she wouldn't ever come back but the way they ended her character with the freak was bad enough.. But then top off she died unforgivable

The scene with Fletch outsmarting Big M has such a comedic undertone. Fawkner was alright but I'd go with Moran, he stopped the riot almost singlehandedly and he had the decency to quit the job once his integrity was put into question regarding his friendship with Kath Maxwell. He's a real top bloke.

I loved Vera Bennett so I would vote for her the Meg and Colleen 2nd and 3rd

I like 4 Bea Smith , Myra Desmond, Rita Conners and Sandy Edwards I never recognise Lou Kelly or Nola McKenzie as a Top Dog as they was only out to look after themselves and Lou was the worst as she use to boost that she was top dog

At first Willie's amnesia was real. Willie was another of my most favorite characters, along with Lizzie, Pixie, Chookie, Rita, Minnie, Cass and Merle.

Pixie dropping the cake was not funny, she could have permanently hurt her back falling backward on that wet floor.
