Rewatching the volume i think the flaw in Yangs mindset was that she assumed that Ruby would come and talk to her if anything was wrong. Hence her words during their search for Ruby in V9. Unfortunately she doesn’t take inti account that for all her success and leaderships Ruby is still her LITTLE sister, two years younger than Yang and everyone else and too used to he the positive leadership they all lean on. Something that caused her not to notice any signs Ruby gave during the course of the volume as well until it was too late.

Ruby fainting into the dirt after hearing about Penny, her argument with Jaune, or her saying “We should stop pretending like we know what we’re doing” should’ve been clear cut that she wasn’t ok “I was there for her” Just like you were there when you left Ruby in V1 to go hang out with your friends or when Jaune screams at her and you did NOTHING but protect your cat gf “No one blamed her for anything” On the contrary Ruby is plenty to blame for lying to IW for no reason along with Yang and Bland going behind everyone’s back to Robyn who Yang couldn’t even support at her election Don’t give some “Yang is flawed” bs defense no one in Team RWBY is ever called out for being wrong Remember that scene in V6 where everyone was fighting the Grimm on the train and they harassed that Dudley guy for attracting Grimm? These fools then learn it was the relic attracting Grimm and don’t even apologize to him. Hero’s my foot.

This shows how Ozpin's words to Ruby messed her up for the rest of the series. Rather then not only relying on her team as well as them relying on her, she felt all that pressure was exclusively on her shoulders. And that can be seriously rough on a person.

still funny to me how Yang has all this to say and deflects any blame she shares for what happened with Ruby and her mental state from v8-9 when not even an episode prior to Ruby's snap it was said to our faces that Yang thought solidifying her relationship with Blake was more important than getting home or dealing with the fall of atlas or anything else. Yang isn't a bad sister overall but holy hell does the writing seem to love giving her some bad sister moments lately. One scene she witnesses her sis kill herself then 2 minutes later she is back to happy smiles and snuggled up on Blake. Earlier we see her sister literally faint in front of them and then 2 minutes later she's flirting with Blake. Come on CRWBY. Also doesn't help how the blu-ray commentary and footage from rtx this year exposed how they purposely left out some footage of them actually talking about what ruby did and build up to the scene with them trying to check on her because they "had more important things to focus on". Oh yeah, cuz we 10000% needed the random filler of Blake and Yang kissing or the extra lore dump on the gods over Ruby's friends and sister actually noticing she was mentally drained and on the verge of giving up. Weiss and Blake hold the L on this matter too but Yang of all people holding it and then having the gall to deflect the blame the way she does in the scene her audio here is from had to be the worst Yang moment I've seen the show give her. It even tops her out of character rudeness toward Ruby in the start of volume 8. Again, not a bad sister, but writing loves to give her bad sister moments lately just to try and "redeem" her later (not really, it kinda just gets let go).

I’m very curious if her hearing is like an actual cats, cause they can hear a lot more then we can, the sound pitch range of a human is 20-20000 hz, but it reduces to around 20-15000 hz as we age. But a cats range is 20-64000 hz. And they can hear sounds from four to five times farther away then humans. So if she does have a cats hearing her hearing range is insane.
