Thank You for caring!!!
With so many people looking for corn and soy free food there is an increase in farmers using the fish and crab meal feed. I am just curious what your thoughts are on this as I have read the mercury can pass into the meat, the highest concentrations being in egg yolks and liver.
Is that clover and vetch? Pasture forage for sheep and goats is such a difficult thing to achieve! Sheep like weeds and Forbes way more than actual grass. Growing forages suited for each season (warm & cool) is more difficult than it sounds! And I thought cleopatra actually used donkey milk for her baths
Your Nourish cheese is very good , the best feta I have ever eaten or used on my pesto pizza . I make my own pesto and use Parmeganio Reggianio(Spellig? haha) and would like your opinion?! Thank you for sharing!
Ben Bikman made a video 11months ago and said pufas are ony bad if they are in processed Food but chicken is alright even if It has only been fed corn .
Do you feed a fermented forage (like alfalfa, sorghum, and other forages) as a supplemental feed?
You need to up your sound pls, laptop is on max volume and i can barely hear it.
That's your browser.
Why so quiet? Ive got my phone on max volume & can't hear you over ambient noise.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Is there a link to your article on GMO ingredients in cheese? I'm trying to find any evidence that artificial rennet is worse in any way compared to animal rennet, but Google isn't giving me much. Would be very curious to see any research that suggests it introduces toxicity in any way.
You can find the article here: nourishcooperative.com/blog/genetically-modified-ingredients-in-most-us-cheeses
Another question. Have you compared the sociability of your healthy livestock with that of pufa herds?
Our own herds do behave a LOT different...more calm and easier/more "loving/responsive" to handle
@@1truthseeking8 Interesting. And not surprising given pufas affect size of amygdala (Cardinale et al 2019/PubMed). How about this for a hypothesis, then: <DDGS consumption is causing WW3-grade human aggression> (like setting passengers on fire on the NYC subway).
Do the pufas also infect the meat via the lipid membranes of muscle cells? Is the relative proportion meat:fat known?
Yes
Thank you for this! Can you share more information about the study pls?
Thank you!
I am so impressed with you guys. I have already enjoyed your sweet potato boxes and look forward to get your produce boxes next year. 👍
Thank you so much for the support!
Fantastic, Ash! Great video, wonderful information. And nice to see you! Blessings!.
So to prevent the hogs from rooting........why dont you ring them ? My father always pastured hogs and they never rooted ! Women/ men wear rings...and for sure there is no abuse involved. So why not ring the hogs ? Also relating to rings ? As a former dairy farmer for 45 years we as a farmer had problems with mastitis in the milk cows. Mainly the first calf heifers. The heifer calves would often suck each other at age 5 months. Thus.. gnats would bite the teat / nipple ends causing a scab to form. Now......relating to young ladies.... theY pierce their nipples " nipple piercings " and with that they expose the milk canal to bacteria........hence mastitis after giving birth ! Question is........do these young ladies understand this issue ???
Great video and great tour!
Can you make gouda cheese with goat's milk? Cow's cheese causes me inflammation.
Chastity belts for rams! Maybe some more of us humans should follow suit!
What you're trying to say about A2 beta casein protein vs A1 is that the A1 protein is a natural mutation, that when AI (artificial insemination) was introduced, was unwittingly spread through the dairy herds because they kept selecting bull semen from bulls that produced cows with higher milk production. The reason these cows were higher milk producers turned out to be due to this A1 mutation, which causes higher levels of bioactive peptide beta-casomorphin 7 (BCM7) to be present in the milk. These higher levels of BCM7 are associated with negative health effects in humans. Also, all milk is naturally A2, including human breast milk, so our metabolisms are really better at processing A2 milk. In summary, either or both factors can be in play when someone is having a reaction to A1 milk...and the level of A1 protein in a particular carton of milk can impact the level of the reaction (not every commercial cow is A1...so a farm may have half the herd that is A2, but the milk all flows into one tank and so any given carton will contain milk from many different cows so can have different levels of A1 vs. A2 proteins in that single carton.)
It seriously wouldn’t surprise me at all if pufas hadn’t caused mass world anger. The curve is much the same. I know it sounds crazy.
Keep hammering the core message - lean meat is cells, and cells have fat membranes. Lean meat includes hidden fat. Be very afraid.
Beautiful... could I work at your farm?
Thank you Farmer Ash! I truly appreciate all your efforts to help us thrive! Your products are excellent!
Hi Ashley . I've enjoyed viewing your videos. 😊 I ordered three of your cheeses, my first cheese order, tonight. I'm looking forward to trying them , because I'm not very familiar with all the different cheeses anyway and this is going to be an education with the best quality available. The last several weeks I have been purchasing only eggs, but I'm increasing what I buy over time and I appreciate the opportunity to participate in your startup growth. They're trying to take away all of our healthy foods and so businesses like yours deserve all the sales they get. I did have a question regarding animal parasites, though. I've been researching that a bit lately related to disease, and understand that it's quite a bit more of a problem in our bodies than was previously considered by allopathic medicine. So I was wondering, do you use any kind of anti-parasitics on your animals ? And what effect do you think parasites in animals would have on the quality of the product? Thanks.
Great info, love what your doing. Galloways seem very hardy where im located.
Thanks Ashley, for showing us around and for the quick class on these unusual, gentle cows!

welcome aboard!!! It's PUFA depletion time!
Ever since watching this presentation I’ve been researching liposomal vitamin C and Dr Mercola is certainly not the only one using Sunflower oil derivatives, it seems to be everywhere! Bottom line, I guess we need to make a plan to get as much as we can of our needed nutrients from the food we eat! Would you consider teaching us more on this? Thank you for what you do!
Wow, wow, wow. I'm so glad to have just joined your co-op. Keep up the good work!
sounds like we are on the same page - let's change the food system together!
Why do we want to eat like our ancestors when all the so-called epigenetic factors (environment etc) are totally unlike that of our ancestors??
I dont think it is a good idea to completely change the fatty acid profile inside of us... it is having disastrous consequences on our metabolic health
I know that there are some ethanol plants that take the corn oil off first and then make the ethanol. This leaves protein and minerals in the DDG's BUT this is from GMO corn and that in itself has many negative components like aldehyde's, herbicides, pesticides which all are now concentrated- still bad feed for animals. Non gmo alfalfa as part of the chicken diet will provide fiber, minerals, and protein which helps the chicken's digestion system. Also, pecan fiber can help keep the chickens health as it is a natural way to kill E Coli and other pathogens.
Great info but been difficult for years to find good chicken in stores
Another important benefit of your chicken, which you can see on the chart you displayed, is that it is lower in overall fat content. Not that animal fat is bad for you. In fact, it is very good for you. It's just that you don't want to get your animal fat from an animal that is fat. You want to get it from an animal that is naturally lean. Animals that are unnaturally fat, just like humans who are unnaturally fat, are going to have higher levels of estrogen in them. Estrogens in our food have been shown to increase our own estrogen levels, and have been implicated in contributing to our sky-high rates of breast and prostate cancer. Along the same lines, I'm so glad you guys have not decided to increase omega-3 levels with flax seeds, like other "premium" chicken vendors have done. Flax seed is a double-whammy. It not only makes the chickens unnaturally fat, it contains high levels of phytoestrogens, boosting their estrogen levels even higher. I hope you will consider testing the estrogen levels of your chicken compared to that of conventional chicken.
YES! You get it! Check out this video :) ruclips.net/video/Y439-3Ia_WA/видео.html
all I gotta say is wow
What's the grains you are feeding? Where do you source it from and was it locally grown?
she grows heritage grains no corn no soy no sun flower no canaola
@@oldschoolska What are heritage grains?.......are some better than others comparing the PUFA profiles? And what else besides grains are included in Nourish layer feeds?
we want a video on how to make cheese the traditional way ... thanks in advance.. really appreciate your efforts
That is quite interesting, but I have read that phytoestrogen is actually helping to push out estrogen mimicking chemicals, and widely used in Asian countries (where women have much lower breast cancer rate). Any thoughts on that? Thank you for the very informative videos!
Volume is low again but was able to listen close up with volume on high but last week was better.
Can you say what you feed your animals?
This is fascinating 😍 I love it!
Please sell your feed, or please list your feed ingredients. We want our chickens and eggs to be low PUFA as well.

The fruit pectin isn't necessary. To thicken jam, simmer it to remove water until its' the desired consistency. The jams I grew up with, had fruit and sugar. that's it.
exactly! That is what we do :)
Best notification ❤🎉
Where are you located and how to become a partner farm?
Apple pectin is a classic thickener. Of course, there’s also fruit pulp cooked or dehydrated until thick, which is called fruit butter.
Hey what country is your farm? In the USA they don’t allow raw milk. I had raw milk cheese in Switzerland and it was great
I wonder if the pharmaceuticals and vaccines are actually keeping the aminals healthy, or just suppressing symptoms.
