See if you can find EST wire or oe of otheres to tap into on dash for cel light. I usually put them to handbrake wire lol. If got aldl connected up add ann earthed switched in glovebox so you can put it into diagnostic mode to quickly check for fault codes. Keep at it enjoying the small details.

The best way to set up the Power/Economy switch is as follows. 1) Turn switch position to "Power" 2) Hide switch in glovebox. 😂 But seriously, congrats on having HDT recognise your work. It’s well deserved!

@Ozdemir1993 got the radiator from eBay a mob called alloy works, 3 core rad.
@@TAVOTravsDIYGarage hey mate what did you do for your fuel tank ? Did you use the vs one or keep ur vk one ? I have a vh and not sure if I need to use the vs one. Also what did you for the steering rack? I have dropped the 304 in with the vh k frame and vh steering rack but seems as I have no room for my aftermarket extractors to go through
@Ozdemir1993 I kept my VK one as mine is a Calais which was factory fuel injection.

Single stage 2K. No clear coat.
Hint 3 times pump the pedal on the third hold down for 3 seconds lift foot and start ...it's a valiant
Sometimes sits for a fair while and has to pump all the way back from the tank.
are you putting the headlight rubbers in?
At this stage I do not have the rubbers. Not sure if I will or won’t

Make sure you put the upper radiator support shroud in place. Its key to keeping airflow through the radiator. Again, massive respect and congratulations 👏👏👏

Pull those screws out, they will continue to break the bog with flexing. The lower lip should be bonded to the upper bumper with body adhesive with a screw drilled into the return edge inside the guard. Oh, and some brand new taillights and centre garnish would make a big difference to the back of it.
They are brand new tail light and garnish!
@ they looked discoloured and aged when you reversed in. I would be surprised if you didn’t fit new ones, but I do know how you like to save a dollar. 👍
@ yeah I’m tight, but did spend up when I seen how bad the old ones were when I pulled them back out of storage. And the lenses fell out as well. Maybe just a bad camera angle or dirty lens 🤷🏻♂️
@ yeah but back to the screws, that will be an ongoing problem with flexing.
@Louie2309 probably, hopefully the flex additive I put in the paint minimises the movement.

Hey, i'm from Trinidad and Tobago, here in the caribbean when rain is falling, the humidity is very low, when it stops raining, the humidity rises again, brake fluid is hygroscopic, thus i would recommend testing your brake fluid with one of those pen type meters that indicates if the brake fluid is saturated with water...it has a green, orange and red led...best to always have brake fluid measuring in green range at all times, just having the master cylinder cover off, the fluid is absorbing moisture from the air...many a time i have had brake fade and even fluid in the calipers boiling over with my vh commodore

Thought about it but did not want to have to make new brake lines as from what I could see one line would need to be re done.
@@TAVOTravsDIYGarage fair enough. I went with vy master and booster as well as vy twin piston calliper conversion. Hopefully whoever does your blue slip doesn’t want you to upgrade the master and booster to suit the new v8 engine. Keep at it. Enjoy watching your vids

Much easier to just go buy cheap Strut/ bump stop / boot , top mounts, you can pay $250 for a decent Strut or $400 for darn good 1 , or you can get one from ebay new for $120 , Personally i always pay around $265 /$310 for very nice strut & Polyurethane Top mounts . Ps : always replace boot ^ definitely replace bump stop.
