Fook me. Pity the fool that ends up buying this. And by the way. The paint finish doesn’t get better as it cures. If anything, as the solvents dry out, it shows all the poor preparation underneath.
Id get the scoop in primer an then fit it. Paint inside the boot an bonnet. Flip em an paint them both aswell as the feont guards. Then do the doors. Prime outside if arent already an paint the insides. Lay the doors flat an paint the outsides I do it everyday too, is a long process. 85% of painting is prep an cleaning
@@TAVOTravsDIYGarage if space is an issue ull have to halve the numbers but that what oder id paint everything, then bumpers an grille. GD work so far man, it gets FN tedious but more you put in the more you get out of it. It all comes down to how much time you have or how much patience you have seeing it in primer for so long
Get your brother to sand out the runs after they dry a couple of weeks, and rub back the complete car to 2000, then buff it it up. There will be dirt all through it considering you didn’t remask the car before painting and the general dirty state of the shed. There would of been dust in the air every time you pulled the trigger. As a minimum, wet the concrete floor before painting again.
@@TAVOTravsDIYGarage rub it back anyway. You have runs and it will flatten out the peel at the same time. You have come this far, a little bit more work will be worth the effort. Wait a couple of weeks to let the solvents dry out of the runs first.
Looks amazing. All completed in your shed 👏
💯 mate 👍🏻
well done it looks great we are always learning slow and steady wins the race
Thanks buddy, 💯% slow and steady is the way to go.
Well done. The amount of work involved hard to believe until you’ve done it yourself 🍻
Thanks mate, it’s a crazy amount of work 🍻
Nothing is easy old mate, coming up really good, be worth it in the end.
Thanks mate, it sure will 👍🏻
@@TAVOTravsDIYGarage Did you wet sand ??

@@TAVOTravsDIYGarage Sorry to be a pain, what size external fuel pump are you using ??
@froggy121000 all good buddy. I’m just running the standard VK efi fuel pump.

I’d like to do it that way, but space is the big issue. I’ve realised that prep is a major part of painting.

Yeah that will be the go. There isn’t that much dust in it considering how dirty the shed is.

@Louie2309 will do mate.
Well done Trav
Thanks buddy!
Nice she will be looking the part soon. Are you going to keep the Calais rear lights and black garnish or swap it to a Berlina or sl one
Planning on putting the SL lights in
@@TAVOTravsDIYGarage SL / Berlina looks better in my opinion and what I'm going with. Keep up the great work.
