looks great,, nice build
Sick build! I’m working on a 96 currently and hoping to have it finished in the next couple of months. Be on the lookout for my vid! Gonna be nasty!
Wish you were in the states so you could build me one. Awesome bike!!
Did you get any problems due the exhaust pipes have different lengths? ?
Can I have the info of your metallic Ammon box.tksss size or where you bought it.
Awesome bike. Please let me know where you bough the seat. Regards
jorgeirn08 the seat is a La Rosa seat
The route is same of xv 535 ? And when i can buy ?
beautiful build....the last of the v2 interceptors!
This steam locomotive is in the game called trainz
with entirely the wrong sounds
same i like it too
The Best off the Best bobber !!! Respekt !!!
love this video i have watched it so many times
I dig the hell out of your machine , nice work , I wish I had all my old bikes back , just to do things like this . Simple times , simple bikes , lots of fun , a man , and his machine , maybe some beer .
very nice custom...
Did you have to jet the carburetor for the exhaust work
Yeah. not major though I think it was just a main jet and a tweak on the fuel screws
Sure did. But it was only a minor tweak from memory
Thank you and one more question? Is there baffles in the exhaust?
Not in the video no. But I did make removable restrictors that slipped in the end of the pipes to quiet them down.
how did you mount the Springer seat on the bike?
Did you do any work to get it lowered? It's hard to tell on RUclips, but I'm not sure how I'll lower my Virago 1100.
sure did man. For the rear the shock mounts were cut off and lifted 40mm then welded back on. For the forks. The top spacer above the spring was cut 50mm shorter, then a sacer was added on the top out spring so it would keep its stock preload.
such a beautiful bike! greetings from Greece
such a beautiful bike! greetings from Greece
That bike looks cool as hell, congrats man
wtf with your hands?!
few years ago the camera on the phone wasn't that great. haha
Wow! What a perfect bike! I have always loved the classic cruiser look and really wanted a HD Forty Eight but not anymore! I'm about to buy my first bike, I'll look for one of these and try my damndest to get this look omfg. A classic to hand down through the generations. You're work is godlike! I only wish I could hear it's true sound for its justice. I took so many pics of it and saw it on the forums. Hello from Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada... eh? lol
Cool bike men! I've got a xv1000 and busy making a cool bobber too. i was wondering how did you bypass the reserve tank?. i want to get rid of that thing.!
Get rid of the fuel pump and tank. Run a fuel line with a T piece from the Big fitting on the stock tank (the other smaller fitting a vent for the reserve tank which needs to be plugged. plumb in 2 inline petcocks just before each carburetor and you're done. pretty easy.
Thanks for your quick message! So when you do it like this the carbs will fill up by vacuum right? and you mean a simple petcock like this www.google.nl/search?q=universal+petcock&biw=1920&bih=979&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwi_3YLU6LfKAhXCJA8KHTmnDl8QsAQIHg#imgrc=_OteEKzlmWCWfM%3A I really appriate your help
+Roelof Visser It will just fill up via gravity. As long as it flows well it should be no problem. All I had to do on the Sportster tank was open up the air vent on the cap a little more so the fuel would flow freely.
Hi, is that original tank of sportsters? Did you have to do much modification to he bottom of it to fit the frame? Where did you get the tank from? Thanks.
That's a King Sportster tank. slightly bigger in capacity. I had to cut the backbone tunnel out of the tank, bend up a new one to suit the Virago frame since at the time the bike was running the stock tein carburetors and the frame is part of the induction system. If I were to do it all again I'd modify the frame instead because later on I converted it to single carb.
+streetkleaver Thanks for getting back to me. Wow...! You did a fantastic job. The bike looks great! I would do it on Virago 250, any advice?
You seem to have gone for a classic look with that nice racing decal and the antique brown leather seat. Why, then, haven't you used wider tyres and wheels with spokes.
It's almost impossible to get a spoked wheel for the rear of these bikes, being shaft drive. You can get front wheels anywhere but then you have 2 mismatched wheels.
Wow. I really didn't know that. I'll look into that right now. I'm planning to build a bike of my own and have a very particular aesthetic in mind.
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. ! LUNCH GRIN WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ABOUT THIW 11
Bella Morris W
Where did you hide all the electrics? Looks like you hid them in the headlight but how the ... did they all fit in there?? :D awesome bike! building one myself at the moment
I hid all mine in the fake left hand air cleaner. There's loads of room in there.
Why you shaking camera lol?
Awesome ! I have a Virago 1100 and I so want to do this , can i ask a few questions ? what paint did you use for the wheels ? how did you make the exhaust ?
Hey great looking bike, may i ask what you used to black out the engine?
Thanks dude! Just high temp engine enamel. Matt black. Sanded the fins to expose the aluminum again for high lights
Great job ;)
really awesome
What tank is that?
King sporty tank buddy!
streetkleaver how much gal does is it have? I don't know if i should get the 3.25 one or the 2.4 one
I'm a aussie and it was just around 9 Litres from memory. So yeah 3.2ish gals. The backbone tunnel of the tank had to be cut out and a new one bent up and welded in. You could mount it further forward. But I just went a little further back to make it a lottle more frisco style. It also all utilizes the factory gas tank mounts.
I love this build. The tank looks a bit odd being back that far.....but thats my 2 cents.
Is it fast? Looks faster than my stock xv1000. Wanna race? lol. Same style I want for mine, nice bike.
It went harder than a sportster. So that's a bonus. Haha
Ive got one like this there great fun get stares everywer ha ha
I've got a 92 XV1100, but something like this is way out of my skill range, how on earth did you get it to sound like that?!
Thanks dude. They are just old fashioned straight pipes. No tricks
serious bit of kit!
That's a sweet motorcycle
gorgeous
gorgeous
Thats bad-ass brother. Sic job.
question, is it not possible to cover the gap between the gastank and steering? it looks a bit strange, like its hanging above the frame....otherwise a very nice look
It seemed to look right to me. But its all up to individual taste really. It could of been shifted forward but I utilized the stock tank mounts for tanks can be swapped IE long range.
hey man would you be able to tell me the diameters of the ammo box maybe? im looking for one myself at the minute
Not off the top of my head. It's just a hand made sheet metal one. Cheers
Beautiful bike :D
