Can they be CURVED? Want to use in a window frame which has Arch at the top. May they be cut or do you have curved blocks? TIA
I found a glass block with one of its 4 narrow sides open. Interesting.
2 am when I should be sleeping is the perfect time to be suddenly fascinated in glass blocks.
Wonderful
Could this machine function as an equally competent panty remover with only a few modifications.
Wow 12 yrs ago ?? I'll have to look up new video,, PLUS, during any Storm that 2x4s are flying around, they surely won't have factory edges on them. They'll more than likely have arrow like splintered sharp ends, perhaps..?
How much this whole machinary cost??

What I want to know is how does anyone afford them. I found glass block on Amazon for $8/block but the shipping charge is $25 per block. I need 50 so the block would cost me $400 but my shipping charge would be $1250.00. No thanks!
You go down to Home Depot or Lowes and pick them up without any shipping cost. IF you order them from Home Depot for example. they arrive at the Home Depot dock for you to pickup without shipping cost.
but i do not have this spacer can i do it without by silcon carfuly

So its Hollow block
Worked with Glass block for 20 years making Pre Assembled panels with em (that Pattern is Argus, theres Parallel and Non Parallel Rib style) , sad Pittsburgh Corning went outta business due to Imports (our Block now comes from Czech Republic....its CHEAPER to get it 3/4 around the world away instead of 45 min up river...sad) , and "every single block" is NOT checked lol. I get crooked, oblong, twisted, not fully sealed, ect
Im about to apply for pittsburgh glassblock how is that job on general? Is it fairly easy ?
@@mellowm9882 Making the Block itself, not sure. But to make the Panels like I was is a LOT of lifting throughout the day. Like a standard "4-32x24 panel Pour" for mortar (though ALOT no longer use Mortar) you gotta lift/cart 4-50lb Boxes of block, hand lay every one (so lifting 5 lb block 40 times), carry 50lb Bag of Mortar to mixer, lift 50lb Bucket to Pour Mortar. And when its all set and dry (in 45 minutes with my recipe) you gotta flip up each 60lb panel, clean other side and carry each one to "Finished" Area. I used to do that about 4 or 5 times in an 8 hour day,5 days a week. It takes a toll on your Back, Legs and arms. Friday Epsom Salt 3 hour bath soaks were a normal. So, in closing lol, EASY absolutely as long as people DO their job properly (miswritten orders PISS me off). But its also HARD (heavy), STRENUOUS back killing Labor in between the Easy.
@@cpoky ya im going to being doing glass block manufacturing just making it at their one location as far as i know.. I got a tour/interview coming up so i'll see.. I asked if i'll do any laying or building walls he said no
@@mellowm9882 GOOD DEAL, hope it works out. Be careful, glass is dangerous let alone Molten Glass. IF they need some Panel Assemblers tell em you know an expert with over 20 years experience thats made THOUSANDS of em over the years whos lookin for a job. Tell em its the guy from ROSE GLASS BLOCK in Donora....see if they remember me lol.
@@cpoky for sure 👌
Yup!
Thanks for shearing.
I’m this bored

Vague. After attempting (I’m in construction FYI). I still fought this because the tricks to making this work are Not Given. Thx for Nothing!
Will Not do this again! Waste my time on sh*t system.
this is really satisfying! watched the entire vid without skipping. Good Job!
*Fascinating!*
Is this for basement security windows
How do you fit the top row of blocks in? Thanks!
Great video except no link below it taking me to your website.
Hypnotic video!
Did the camera glass break at 0:36? So cool
Hahaha nice observation.
I think it's the covering glass for the camera just like when they use it for underwater recording
Was this taken with a cellphone ? No wonder your corporate overlords didn’t see a reason in buying you the new boiler . Lol just fuck it, glassblock isn’t made in the USA anymore, and nobody cares . At least nobody with power anyways.
where can I buy it? I need the system to use it at Mexico City. I use to find it at Home Depot Mexico but it is not on sale anymore.
Pittsburgh Corning is no longer in the glass block business. You can contact Matt Holop from Seves Glass Block and he may be able to help you find product. Matt's contact information is matt.holop@sevesglassblock.com
Thank you very much!!!!
My pleasure. I forwarded your request to Matt Holop from Seves Glass Block. If you can provide your email address I will forward to him and he will be happy to contact you.
No more Pittsburgh Corning glass block website help available... Owens Corning bought them out May 2017. Pitt/Corning Website does not even exist anymore.... links provided below only go to Owens Corning ... no help there.
So the first block that goes into the corner, then the other end blocks along the vertical track don't need sealant? Just snap in? No sealant on the horizontal spacer under the second row or subsequent rows either? How can it be?

Hello, I live in Spain, and I would like to buy this glass block, but in my country I can't to find it :-( . Do you know any shop that I can buy from Spain? Thanks
Hello. Unfortunately, we no longer make glass blocks. I do not know of any supplier in Spain. Sorry.
I definitely need this for our weekend project.
Lol, so how do you install the top row? Ahhhhhh........
Here's How to Install the Top Row:You cut the top channel in half lengthwise before installing it. This will allow the top row of glass blocks to be installed. See detailed installation instructions at pittsburghcorning.com and click on the Project Planning section

great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need to make a video for pro vantage 2
I found this video lacking details.
+Heather Rose This short video was made to show how easy it is to install glass block with the ProVantage Glass Block installation system. You can find detailed installation instructions at the Pittsburgh Corning website link in the video description above and click on the Project Planning section. Thank you for answering my question.
My shower window opening is exactly 18"x30". I bought 6" glass blocks to fit because those dimensions are divisible by 6. When I brought them home and did a dry run there was a gap in both width and height. When you install channel and spacers, does that compensate for gaps?
The opening will need to be sized to accommodate the size of the blocks. For a 18” x 30” installation using the 6x6” glass blocks with the ProVantage I Installation, the r/o needs to be 18x29-3/4.” If you need additional information, our technical services group would be happy to assist you. Please call 800-871-9918 and ask for Tom. Thanks.
We would be happy to discuss your installation questions. Please call Tom in our technical service department at 800-871-9918. Thank you.
