Inertia is crucial for maintaining frequency stability in power systems. It slows the rate at which frequency declines following a disturbance, thereby reducing the rate of change in frequency (RoCoF). This delay allows other control systems adequate time to respond and stabilize the frequency. However, with increasing integration of inverter-based resources (IBRs) and the retirement of traditional power plants, many power systems worldwide are experiencing a reduction in synchronous inertia, which threatens frequency stability.     Sir, your points are really practical. On my personal experience I want to add some point that Gujarat state me at peak load time (18:00 to 23:00 Hrs) wind speed high rahta hai. During Day in Rajasthan state time wind + solar generation high rahta hai. Southern part me RE generation Last one week k average k around rahta hai.... India has huge potential to generate RE. We have proud on #Grid_India team to work diligently for making RE penetrations easy and economical.
