ChatGPT, Did I Break the Law to Take Grace Walker’s New Course?
Grace Walker's new course, Fast Forward Freelance, was something I couldn't help but get. The problem was purchasing the course without getting found out. Hypothetically, how would I approach getting access to Fast Forward Freelance creatively? And most importantly, how might ChatGPT advise me on my hypothetical adventure? And how would that compare to a real attorney's advice.
Check out Grace Walker's new course on freelance design: www.fastforwardfreelance.com/

Office Hours: How I Script a Video
Просмотров 5 тыс.Месяц назад
I commonly get questions about how I script videos, what percentage of videos I actually script, and how I use a teleprompter to record. In this completely unedited Loom, I cover those three topics, and walk through my recent video where I tried Arc Browser for the first time.
Getting Comfortable On Camera
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.Месяц назад
I was talking with a friend yesterday about this, and it occurred to me that I'm only comfortable on camera because I'm on camera. A lot. And have been since as far back as I can remember. I think in an age of curated, clickbait video, we sometimes underestimate the impact recording a short memory might have. And while being on camera can help for any type of presentation, workshop, etc., to me...
Honest First Impressions with Arc Browser

Everyone seems to be talking about Arc Browser lately. Enough is enough. It's time I roll up my sleeves, boot up my laptop, and install this thing to understand what all the hype is about. The most important question: is it just hype? These are my first impressions. No one's asked me or paid me for these thoughts.
5 Things Everyone’s Missing with ChatGPT

We've all been using ChatGPT like it's a glorified search engine. But it's not. In this video, I'm covering five ways I show ChatGPT to my friends. First, we'll dig deep into solving an irregular formula in Excel. Then we'll have a chat with Aristotle *about* ChatGPT. Then we'll get startup advice from Steve Jobs, Bob Iger, Esther Perel, and Doris Kearns Goodwin. We'll plan a day in New York Ci...

ChatGPT Cups & Balls!

Slight twist on a much simpler version of the famous Cups & Balls magic trick, but without literally any magic. This might have been the most fun I've had with ChatGPT in quite some time, which is saying something, since ChatGPT is often masterfully filling the technical and emotional role of cofounder in my startup.

I have been a Webflow user for about four years. I absolutely rely on it for my company's website. That is why my business basically went under for the last year. Publishing anything to my Webflow site is near impossible at the moment, without breaking something. I've started the site from scratch more times than I can count, and every time it ends up with the same kinds of problems. I have tried this in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Windows and Mac. About a year ago the overall quality of the product began to dramatically degrade. And today, I get about 30 seconds of good usage out of the tool before something will go horribly wrong. I don't do anything complex, and I do a lot of text work. But holy crap is it a disappointment right now. For me, the absolute lack of feedback is a problem. I've posted stuff in the forums a few times, only to have people say it's not happening here but I don't do <x or y critical to the discussion> and that's it. Right now? I'd leave the platform in a heartbeat if I could find something better. And I am actively searching. Wix has its own problems. Elegant Themes' Divi thing looks promising but the setup is a pain in the *ss. I love your videos, and that's one of the reasons I stuck with Webflow for as long as I did. But I can absolutely say that Webflow's problems tanked my company and I was too much of a fan boy to do anything about it. I'm still trying to make it work. Right now I'm overhauling all of it to use the CMS system hoping that will make a difference. I'll know soon.

I use chatGPT as an all knowing oracle in the form of a person/mentor/teacher. This helps me better interact with it as I can have a conversation and tell it about myself and have it give more personal and useful information. I learnt how to invest my money, how to prepare for a specific interview; it even gives good questions they may ask and can help you with your mock interview practice.

Its so interesting because you can tell that what you are talking about, is something you absolutely embody as well. You could have easily added yourself to this list. Personally, I started learning Webflow because the guy in the tutorials is hilarious and everything was amazingly structured. It made me want to learn more (this was 4 years ago). Webflow tutorials always felt real, in touch and actually focused on the person learning - something that could only be done by someone that was also CONSUMING. So thank you for this insight and for leading by example - I sometimes feel bad when I am completely consumed by news/rabbit holes about what I do and love, but this made me realise that exactly this, the pure investigative interest and consumption will help giving the energy to create a substance and familiarity that nothing else could.

Is general intelligence the sum of all human knowledge? Because if it was general iq gpt is already way beyond smarter than 95% of humans ive ever met. Even if it took a week to answer, they are great answers, when you know how to ask it something, besides dad jokes. It would be funny if it answered "dont waste my time asking dad jokes, something like alexa is on that primative level, ask me something more challenging".

Nice video, thx! I like talking to chatgpt about novels to deepen my understanding of what I'm reading. Stuff like historical context, but also asking what motivates characters to make certain choices, hypothetical questions like how would a character resond if something different happened at a given point in the plot. I can also stipulate if i'm only on chapter 3 and don't want spoilers. It might sound pretty basic, but it's much more focused and efficient than if I was to try Googling all this stuff separately (not to mention risk reading spoilers).

Based upon some interactions in the comments.... i'd just like to add a simpler and more honest opinion of Arc. About 24 hours afterwards.... i woke up and the first thing i remembered was how stupid i still felt for trying Arc out. Second thing is i'm embarrassed that i didnt say i hated it almost instantly. If you're going to make a new browser, you have to keep in mind that the predominantly Chrome user will at the very least NOT want a more complicated version of what they're used to, and that too presented with a vague promise of a "fabulously different workflow". Wtf is the use of that if the only thing achieved is to make the user feel stupid within two minutes of clicking on Arc. I finally figured out Marques Brownlee's expression in the podcast = He was figured out whether he was too stupid to appreciate what he saw." Hey.... it's probably my low IQ... i might be too dumb to appreciate what I thought really never needed fixing (Chrome). And to all the developers of "sophisticated" browsers out there,,, Just click on Chrome for tips on what to do. I feel more stupid for thinking it was me who was too stupid to figure out why I wasnt appreciating arc.
