Hey, can I get some opinions from people that own or have used this drum whether they think it would be a good investment for recording hard rock/ punk, Metal etc vs say maybe something more typical like a Yamaha recording custom steel, a DW Steel, or a Black Beauty, that kind of thing. I’m really intrigued by the quality to price point of this drum, but to me it def has its own sound going on compared to some of the others. Like it sounds very wet, and lively to me, which may not be bad at all, especially where in the studio you can dampen a drum how you want, but just thought I’d ask for some opinions on how it is for range, versatility, volume, overall character etc. Can be hard just listening to demos sometimes.

Do the bass and floor toms tune differently with the top and bottom skins, or are both tones/ pitches pretty much the same?

Very nice playing, especially your brush playing. I wish I could get half as good as you with the brushes, but then again I don’t practice them enough. Very sweet snare drum, I hope you get many years of enjoyment with it.
