I'm Belgian (so EU citizen) and I was already self-employed and paying for a pension plan back when I was living in Belgium. I have now "moved" my freelance activities to Spain (I'm no longer self-employed in Belgium, but I AM autonoma in Spain now). Is there any way I can just keep using my Belgian pension plan, since I'm still with that bank? Or do I have to absolutely stop that one and start a new pension plan in Spain? I guess it wouldn't be smart to have a pension plan in both countries, as I would get taxed twice? Thanks so much for clarifying!

Warning: On September 6, 2024, I sent 110 euros to Germany via the Wise app. On September 9, I received a message about depositing money to the recipient's account. However, on August 1, the German bank reported that no money had been deposited into that account from Wise. I called Wise and asked them to follow up on the amount. Unfortunately, without any apology for the fake payment slip they sent me on September 9, they claimed that due to lack of documents, the money was not deposited and the amount is still available in their bank account. The delay in this payment caused problems in my purchase process and now I no longer wish to continue working with Wize. Interestingly, to refund the money to the same account I paid from, they ask for more documents and claim that the documents are missing. This is shameless theft. How is it that when I signed up for their program and verified my identity online, the documents were sufficient to transfer the money to them,but suddenly it is incomplete to return the same amount to my account? The irresponsibility of Wise staff in handling the disappearance of the amount in their system is quite remarkable.

No. Mention of Brexit? ALSO better not encourage too much the people to live in. BARCELONA its becoming very dangerous there... we know cause we live in the once lived in the Province and. 1000, s are trying to move out to surrounding towns or villages.

I am a foreigner, and a woman and live in Barcelona and I find it 1,000x more safer than London ever was. I walk around Barcelona without an issue and so do my female friends here (young, blonde, pretty). Whereas in London I feared for my life a few times and my safety nearly every single day. I was mugged 3x, grabbed, followed, stalked, threatened, almost dragged in to a car and my male partner was jumped in an alleyway. London is HORRIFIC. And it’s always British people complaining that Spain is dangerous (cus they’re racists) when the UK is the most dangerous place I’ve EVER lived. In saying that in Barcelona, I have my phone on a rope attached to my arm and a theft proof backpack and on the metro I always put my bag between my feet with one of the straps around my leg and I dress relatively like Spaniards (even with my white skin and blonde hair, haha!)

I am a Spaniard living in California (The 5th Economy in the world) and my best American friend came to visit me in April to my region (Asturias) and we drove to Cantabria and Castilla y Leon. He is a Trump MAGA follower that thinks that the USA is the best country in the world and never had visited Spain. He and his wife are top executives used to a very high level of living standards with a very good and secured financial situation. He was very impress by: The beautiful scenery, the quality of all the roads that we drove (Even in Wine country and rural areas), the very good internet connection anywhere we went, the quality of the food and wines "Not even dreaming in California we get this quality" he said, the pristine conservation of all the monuments that we visited, the prices of everything (Three and four times cheaper than California), the enormous quantity of small and midsize business, shops, warehouses popping up everywhere we went and he couldn't believe that in all the places that we visited restaurants, bars, coffee shops, town squares had always people sitting in their terraces. I enjoyed seeing my country through his eyes and for his final conclusion he said "I don't know anything about the economy of Spain but you should be very proud about the living standards of your country".
