MétéoMédia still retained the previous 1999 Highway Conditions music (a Sound Ideas/Proud Music track) up to the morning of April 2, 2001 - which was what The Weather Network used for at least some of the 1999-2000 winter season. Also they changed to the spring/summer programming a week later than TWN at the time, with the satellite ticker bar going through 12 major cities across Canada in rotation before sometime that year relegated to just 10 in New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario.

Looks like the "POUR SAVOIR QUOI FAIRE" tagline MétéoMédia used was used as early as the winter 2000-01 season when it began on December 4th, 2000. Prior to that the tagline was "PARCE QUE LE TEMPS change" going back to 1996. Every now and then though during 2000-2001, they would use an ID that used the previous tagline as I recall Halloween 2001 at some point used a "PARCE QUE LE TEMPS change" station ID that was used frequently during most of 2000, especially in the spring/summer.

Still not found and not mentioned in the description like so many other songs that took months and in some cases years to locate before the copywritten material was documented on RUclips.

This would also be around the time once the PMX updated the icons in December 2001 that there could be two icons for variable clouds instead of one. In this case the variable clouds icon shown here is the normal one. The other one would be the few clouds icon, which would be used for variable thin type clouds. Since this was a Saturday, MétéoMédia would keep using the 2001 week-end local forecast theme and music they used at the time on weekends, albeit the only differences for the winter season were updating the icons, adding the precipitation forecast for the next 24 hours, 7-day outlook, alternating between the normal temperatures and moon phases, and shortening the voiceover by a few seconds.

Note that Nathalie was filling in for Chantal at the time, probably all that week given Chantal was on vacation or chose not to work that week. Normally she would along with Christian be outside on weekend mornings from 8am-noon at the time on the Agenda week-end show. Gisèle was filling in for Patrick at the time as well, probably for that same reason (on vacation) where she'd normally be in studio for the Agenda week-end show. I think several weeks after this was when the local forecasts at :01 and :31 past the hour moved to :28 and :58 past the hour and that the voiceover at the end was dropped (until late 2006).

    • @KgnK1

Money likely. The new arena was ready so they moved into it. More seats and luxury boxes to sell with still a handful of home games left on the schedule that season plus playoffs.
