Viral Workaholic
США
Добавлен 25 мар 2020
Welcome to the Viral Workaholic Channel. What is in the name: Viral - is transmittable, easy to get and hard to cure. Workaholic - an obsession to create. As a society we have become disposable. The broadness of that statement is intentional. This channel is designed to encourage and inspire you to rediscover that curiosity, you had as child and experience again that gratifying feeling, "I made that!".
The goal is function over fashion. I was told as a child, "The sculpture doesn't see a lump of clay, he/she sees the art inside the lump and digs till he finds it". We, as a society, dispose of anything that we loose interest in. I want to encourage my viewers to find that hidden treasure locked inside the seemingly useless item.

For the past few years that we have owned our home our view of the woodlands has been marred by dense bamboo. This highly invasive specie not native to North America chocked out every other form of plant life, restricted the movement of wild life and was unsightly. Over four or five decades poor stewards of the land disposed of their trash in this bamboo jungle. Hitch-A-Chick Urban Homestead an...

Basement Wall Collapse Viral Workaholic stabilizing the structure
I notice you left out the part where you pressed in the differential insulator bushing… Fml
It’s easier to do it on the inside instead of the outside of the home. Also cheaper to replace the holes made in the wall. Keep the outside of your home water tight.
This happened to my house cause of the hurricane recently…. Hopefully we can figure it out thanks for the vid gives me hope the house wont collapse and can actually be fixed.
Hhhmmm. I have this same situation with an 1800s wood sided rear L-wing on a brick house, but my idea is to remove a top board and a board midway or so down so that I know where the lower cavities are that were created with the cross beam supports that I am fairly certain are in there. Would love to hear how this has worked for others in a similar predicament. And also any info on mold/rot that filling these kinds of voids with cellulose or shredded jean insulation may have/may have not caused due to not having a vapor barrier due to not wanting to destroy perfectly good existing walls inside or out.
Thank you, need the chicken and fish bait.
It. Would be nice if you can just get to the point
LAME
Again just reading comments no shown results. Leaving.
Buen vídeo rey, fue bastante útil.
Thanks
What an annoying voice!
Why not take off that piece of siding then drill
because they were putting new siding over it and didn't want to spend the time
It’s better to do it from the inside of the house. It’s crazy to create so many moisture intrusion points
Great video. Thi was my first video to start my researc on doing this on my1958 ranch. So with cellulose you do want to PACK as much on as possible vs batt insulation is just fit in place. Good to know.
How do get the broken bolts out
Ur the man thank you
God damn how rusty
What is the part called that goes into that large round hole?
differential insulator bushing
dude you didn't demonstrate how far up the cavity the insulation is blown. which makes you, a what? what do you call that when someone says they're going to do something and they don't do it? lol. a liar!
The kind thing to say would be that he is forgetful.
You're like that random dude from Family Guy that was angry for no good reason, yelling _"You're a big fat phoney!"_ 😂 Take it easy.
He said he'd show how far up the machine can blow, which he did show at the end when he shot the stuff into the air. You paying attention?
no sway bar?
Excellent video, straight-to-the-point with good tips and not a bunch of unnecessary BS fluff, thank you brother
How did you get the busted bolts off?
hey there! i'm just curious- do you know what purpose the yeast serves?
Ferments
Hi great video 👍🏼. Can you please let me know the name of the blower machine that you are using to blow the insulation? I checked my local hardware stores and they don’t have it to rent thank you.
What about a moisture barrier
Nobody ever answers this question
Because to put an actual moisture barrier on the wall you would have to rip off all the sheet rock. Paint will act as the moisture barrier.@@tybis4u
Cellulose doesn't need a moisture barrier.
shouldn't the moisture and mold issue be repaired before adding insulation ?
And a vapor barrier on the inside
Good job on piece of shit car ,I have the same shits 😁😁😁
Love your video as I have a hip roof house but I cannot find anyone that has T channel. need help please. Thank you.
I'd like to know about how long this took to get the subframe replaced in total.
Took me 2 days total working at easy the exhaust was the toughest part by myself I cut in 2 places to make it easier for me.
I realize this is an older video, but its just what I've been looking for. I gotta 2009 caliber sxt needing the rear subframe replaced and it looks like a heck of a job. You gave me some really good tips on disassembly and I appreciate it immensely. Didnt see anywhere on how long it took you to complete the job. Guessing at least 1 solid day. Thanks again for a great video.
your not alone. my 2007 needs the rear replaced and im gonna do it this weekend, id recommend lots of PB or WD40 before hand. and a breaker bar. the caliber its a great commute car tbh just needs proper care
Sorry I do not hear exacly what engridians are? can you write?
How do you get the insulation into the top of the cavity with the holes so low? Do you drill more in the top or do you push the hose up toward the top?
The air pressure will force the insulation in every part of the cavity. If you working with newer built structures they are built with fire blocks usually half way between the top and bottom. Two story will usually have obstructions also. You will have to drill more holes for these cavities. Balloon frame construction are open from the attic to the basement. Theses cavities you will have to close before you blow the insulation. In either types always have a lookout watching for openings. If one of the areas is taking more than the others you will be able to quickly identifying the leak. The insulation will be forced out making quite the mess.
Can you or anybody tell me a good place I can get a subframe and how do I know if it’s good quality or not? I’m seeing a lot of different prices, what would the difference be?
The rear frame I bought used from Stoystown Auto parts in Pennsylvania. The front I ordered online. It was less expensive online and it was new. It can be more difficult chosing the correct part with so many options online. Do your due diligence to get the one for your specific vehicle. Make sure it has the hardware and get it online.
Curious how you got the two broken subframe bolts out. I'm in the middle of this job right now and am having a hard time removing the two broken bolts.
I got lucky they broke off with enough room to get a pipe wrench on them.
@Viral Workaholic what if you can't get a pipe wrench on them?
@@cnubz1107 I am 3 months late to give you advice on this, but just in case someone comes along with a similar problem I'll give my 2 cents. The easiest and most surefire method is to just weld a nut onto them if you can weld and its not broken off down under the surface. Otherwise get some pb blaster or similar lubricant down into the threads and let it soak and reapply as much as you have patience for, then drill a hole into the bolt shaft and get as big of a bolt extractor bit into the hole as far as possible then start cranking "lefty loosey", and pray the bolt breaks loose before the extractor breaks off. you could also try heating the area around the bolt with a torch, it might expand enough to break lose from the bolt, or at least relieve a little pressure while you're cranking on that extractor bit
How much this work cost
Be sure to check out more of my husband's channel ❤️❤️❤️
Very good video, curious on how you patch the holes, just replace that entire board and paint it I'm assuming and ignore the 3/4 tongue and groove planks they used to use before sheathing ? Also, are you in CT, Im looking to blow in mineral wool sidewall, can't find it anywhere
You can keep the blanks from the hole saw and glue them in with construction adhesive. Yes, I am certified through Building Performance Institute. On this job we closed the holes with metal flashing and finished the house with vinyl siding. I have not used wool. Not sure where you can purchase it.
@@viralworkaholic6766 thank you for the quick reply! Yeah it's hard to find wool products, the US is slow to adapt to it like diesel it seems. Amazing stuff mineral wool is, pest, termites, fireproof essentially etc I'm about to attempt this myself once I get my hands on the product. Ripped apart a ledger to do it properly and one issue after another, termite damage and rotted and then I may as well do this since no insulation
Need to do another one! I have plans for it 😉
You buy I'll smoke 🔥
@@viralworkaholic6766 lol get ready to do it Saturday!
I like deer meat.
How much of each ingredient do you need to use? …and is the tequila mix used for its sugar content? Are there different kinds of fruit juice that you can use? Thank you
looks good workaholic doing a good job
Fixing these rust issues is not for the faint of heart. So many of the younger generation would not have the physical strength to tackle this project. The one thing I would add is before you jack the car put a tarp down on the grass. It makes finding dropped hardware and tools much easier to find.
Yum.. Nothing like cowboy chili on a open fire.. I have never had deer meat but it sure looks delicious! 😋
Hello is came over from "Urban homesteading Channel" and we love your hoop house design! 💯 New Sub from Texas! 😉

Thank you crazy old man, this gives me a great idea to make to make a raised bed with five foot 4x4 at the back (trellis idea)and 30 inch 4x4 in front. This will keep my crazy old lady somewhat happy until she wants more of them. 👍 👍 🇨🇦 from another crazy old man....remember its the wife's fault that we are CRAZY, with the HONEY do list
Very funny Guy 😂 "unless your iron counts low keep your mouth shut"

Great sense of humor!
Thank you for this video it helps me understand the process. I have a 1960 brick home. There is NO insulation behind the exterior walls. The walls are so cold 🥶 in the winter you can feel the coldness even around the electrical outlets. I have sealed everything and even put plastic over all the windows. The exterior walls are still cold to touch. I was thinking of vinyl siding the exterior all of the house except the front. Someone mentioned this process to me instead of covering the brick. I am doing research 🧐. Thanks again for sharing.
Thumbs up but ... Had to stop and re-stop to see how you cut the T-channel.
