Smoke & Laser Microphone Prototype 5 Demo

Today, 3 November 2009 is about 60 days since our first prototype recorded almost recognizable speech. Prototype 5 does continuous speech and we think it can be tweaked to handle music. The major changes from previous models are a higher power laser, NACA duct shaped nozzle, sound absorbent housing, and a band gap filter on the photo detector.

    I fell in love with 67 1st time I saw one. A wealthy older lady in the neighborhood drove it home new - black over silver. What a car! When I turned 16 I went over to see if I could buy it. She told me I could - after she died. Oh well.

    Sadly China dictates the end of use of all combustion cars worldwide. Its not about the environment....Chinas boss Darth Xi told most politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic, aircrafts, ships or combustion based industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... China just rules the world...:-(/

    Mr David M Swartz.I don't know whether you Know this but.The Laser microphone was invented far earlier than you think ,through, of course the Doppler effect and a laser doppler vibrometer or a type of interferometer.And directly converted the laser distortions to sounds without the particulate method of disturbing the beam.My physics Profesor told me about it in 1987. So it must be true because how would ,I have known of such a device before it was mere science fiction.He illustrated to me the importance of the doppler effect as Hubble had discovered an evolving and an expanding Universe not a static one.His name was Dr Slade and he was a brilliant physicist.Far greater and less reward or acclaimed than he should of.He was arrested by the CIA at his University Melbourne Australia ,And he was labelled a subversive and his work was confiscated/stolen.He was then relegated to teach high school physics as a PHD and Award winning Physicist.He taught me the importance of Quantum theory and explained it via ,the Slit experiment and wave callapse and coined the term for a photon .A Wavicle which I still use today.He actually had a working model of the Microphone and proof of concept in the late seventies and gave me an obsession with Lasers.That have lead me on amazing discoveries myself from every cutting edge field which I won't ellaberate on until I have them completely ratified.

    Every time I see one of the Imperial Crown coupes with the mobile director option the first thought that comes to mind is why the coupe and not the sedan? if it had been an option on the 4 door sedans I think it would have been a huge hit.

    • @AnthonyButcher1
      @AnthonyButcher1 3 года назад

      Because the door was longer, and easier to get in and out. The seat wouldn’t clear the b-pillar if it was a 4 door when rotating it.

    Great video David and awesome car. I always loved these. You likely know this, but the design started in a show car and included such things as a fax machine and special telephone! Yours DID come with a little gooseneck light, do you still have that item? I would love to see that. Kudos to your friend showing us very clearly how things worked.

    • @imon2nd
      @imon2nd 6 лет назад

      Thanks, Toy King. I saw the 1966 show car in a magazine when I was in high school. It made a big impression on me. The goose-neck lamp and table were both missing from the car when I bought it; lost long ago by the first owner. I had a new table and support fabricated based on photos and drawings from other owners. The best I've been able to do about the lamp is to find a period correct Tensor lamp, to which I added a lighter plug. The whole story is at the C Bodies Only website: www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/

    Of the 87 of these that were built, I can't help that think that more than a few must have perished in demolition derbies.

    • @merc1110
      @merc1110 6 лет назад

      No...these cars didn't perish in demo derby's big Kenneth! Who goes by Kenneth??? Isn't it usually Ken, Kenny or K-man? Obviously you were too busy yucking it up at the country club on Friday & Saturday nights. These mofo's...errr i mean Mopar's were never used at demo derby's because they were unbeatable. They were like the TIMEX your wife gave you for your birthday. These behomouth's took a licking and kept on ticking. These sh_t mobiles were unstoppable for the all important demo derby's (or driver's ed live training if you were from my neighborhood). These Imperial's were banned, period. Get it K-man??? (Naaaahhh you probably don't get it more than a few times a year, hence the TIMEX) You would never see IMPERIALS run in a demo derby. Now it's rare to see them run period. The MoPar Engineer's were thinking in terms of planned obsolescence so we could all drive K-Kars. Mopars greatest auto ever... at least that's what I-O-Coconut said (hope you didn't drink that Kool-Aid). K-man IMPERIALS handled like a bathtub full of water. The brakes were cr_p, they drank gas, the old leather in them smelled like something from a TV crime drama, if you could smell that. Or if you prefer your sister's sock drawer, or duffel bag after two weeks at camp. "Southard"... is that your real name? Are you practicing false advertising??? If you live up to the moniker, I bet that got you a few dates in high school! At least I'd hope so, TIMEX and all! Rock on big K!

    • @kennethsouthard6042
      @kennethsouthard6042 6 лет назад

      Dude what is with the personal attacks? Imperials were banned from most demo derbies in the late 80s due to the fact that they were pretty much winning all of the derbys in the 70s up to the mid 80s. I went to several of these derbys back then vs. hanging out at the country club and they were full of Imperials. Matter of fact, it sounded like Thunder going off at the end of the main event as all you had left were Imperials destroying each other,. You should have been there, but then maybe your K Car broke down and you couldn't make it. However, I also think that due to these cars running in the derbys for around 10 or 15 years that a significant number of them are no longer around.
