Did you resolve the issue? What was the fix. To me, it looks like a lean backfire, usually caused by either an idle jet that's too small or fuel delivery issues.

He took the injection off and put carbies on =D easier to tune at home im guessing compared to throttle bodies and aftermarket ECU

iam a bit confused, in wikipedia it says this engine is fuel injection but this got a carburetor, can some1 explain me what is the difference in this engine?

@fiebrepr100 Carter 4070 pump, holley FPR. Cant remember what the specs are, but you need around 5psi fuel pressure and a low pressure, high volume pump, with the carter is.
