I think the Maxx won the most races. But that’s probably because “Crash Freeman” driving the sledge wasn’t a fair comparison back then. He gets better every race though. But yeah it is hard to see. The light wasn’t very good. Thank you for watching.

I hope you like it. It’s been my go now since I got it. I have a Traxxas live dual, a great charger but this one is a lot easier for non traxxas batteries and easy with traxxas if you have the right adapter.

No no, you probably know more than I do about this stuff. the issue is probably my misunderstanding of the definitions. With this adjustment I was able to get my car to drive straight out on the field. I may need to reititle the video. In which case any suggestions would be welcomed. Also I apologize for the confusion.

Thank you 🙏. That is a great question and maybe I should do a short video on it. The answer is, The standard charge feature balance charges your batteries for you automatically. You can watch each cell move up while it’s charging. The Balance feature is cool because you can use it to fix bad lipos. Well to an extent. If the cell is dead dead, the charger won’t be able to fix it with that setting.

@@familyrc777 amazing thanks so much for the quick response! So it’s ok to to use the ‘charge’ feature as a default then as I noticed when I plug my g-tech batteries in it goes to charge and not balance so I guess that’s preferred unless there’s an issue with the Lipo…?

Yeah I shimmed them almost right away. I also got front and rear chassis braces. So far so good. But I’m going to add bigger tires and see what happens.

@@familyrc777 I ran Summit wheel sets for a while and found that gearing down a pinion size kept everything together well and still maintains top speed. But it's always a good idea to have an extra diff handy to swap in without having to rebuild 💪🏽

@@lmlz3 Ah okay yeah that makes sense. We’re you running 3s or 2s? I was thinking about testing the rustler talons on it for fun. But i would do it on 2s.

@@familyrc777 I live at 2S just because of how brutal 3S is on these. (Same as full size revo being severely overpowered) Definitely recommend the experience of 3S though- my brother loves it, but also has to rebuild/replace drivetrain pieces far more often.

Okay yeah, 2s is where I want to be, but I want to be able to flip it pretty easily too. If I can’t make it a durable stunt truck on 2s without a ton of $ then I’ll enjoy it as a ripper. Yeah? He don’t mind rebuilding huh? There are some tough small scale china cars that are worth the money ! Like you were saying, full power for both sizes revos is insane. But the revo isn’t built for the way driving has progressed to. But The Mini Maxx that’s coming out should do what I want to do. They literally filmed part of the demo at a skatepark with a song called unbreakable lol. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah that’s a fair question. My idea behind it was, running it on 4s will be more than enough power but never push the electronics to there limit. 3s on the Vxl runs extremely hot for me no matter what rig save maybe the 4tec. Since it’s nearly free to upgrade to 6s it made since to me. Because You can sell the 3s Vxl for $110 or so. And buy the hobbywing 8bl150 for $125. You do have to shoehorn it in there but so far it’s been really good. I did the same thing for my Maxx. I still only run it on 4s. When you sell the 4s Vxl , you actually make money switching to 6s lol. Anyways thanks for your comment

@@princemarcel You can figure out a way but out the box the mounting system appears to be different then the 6s line. It also may depend on what gen the kraton 8s is.

Oh nice! The v1! I got a v1 but it has a Jaguar Body in it. It needs a new esc now. 63 is moving and is fun to drift with! Let me know how it does with that 27t! I’m curious about speed and temps on that. And that’s cool! The body pins are nice. A bit of adjustment at first but totally worth it for functionality and style.

@@familyrc777 I took it out again Wednesday with the 27t pinion, I got solid 88mph, but today I’m going back out with a 32t pinion and I’ll have a temperature gun and a wind meter. Everything else stock.

Yeah you are spot on with those perspectives! The felony is an awesome rig! I haven’t driven the fireteam but I did just pick up a big rock 6s which is pretty nice.

@@familyrc777 you'll enjoy, fire teams will go on sale around Christmas, I'd grab one then. I'm getting another one, and leaving it stock. I slammed first one to the ground, swapped drive gearing with felony, and put a 1/5 Ford lightning body on it painted like the a team van with interior lights. Because of the room, I can hear to the moon, and I smoke felonies.

Dang that’s really good. How are the temps on that for you? I find these run a bit warm. But that’s with no fans. So I will get fans for it.
