Samaritan Chant - Ela Rab (A Great God)
"A Great God" is an ancient poem and melody from our Samaritan heritage, created by Ab Isda As-Soori, also known as Abu al-Hasan al-Suri. Renowned for his deep knowledge and beautiful writings of chants, Ab Hisda's work is a cornerstone of our tradition.
This chant, sung before every Shabbat of the year, during festivals, and on happy occasions, is a profound expression of our faith. It celebrates the greatness of God, praising Him in a harmonious manner that connects us to our ancestor's roots.
This was recorded by the Samaritan Choir in the late 90s.

Samaritan Chant - To the Lord I Surrender my Soul

This chant, deeply cherished by our community, is traditionally performed at the onset of a couple's wedding ceremony, symbolizing their united journey ahead under the divine care and guidance of God. Passed down through generations, it's sung in the ancient Hebrew dialect of the Samaritans. Personally, it's one of my favorite chants out of the hundreds we have, here's the first part of it, sun...

    Thats a lie, largedarkrooster! Your people were sent to northern Israel by the Assyrian king, right after Israel was exiled. That was to ensure that Israel couldnt return. Your "Shema" is nothing more than the diety your ancestors worshipped, "Ashema". Enoch saw your people as dogs, as well as the Hasmoneans/Herodians/Maccabees, which was why Messiah referred to the woman who wanted to be blessed by Him, as a dog. Yah will be returning very soon, to remove the filth that sins upon HIS land & HE will remove those who call themselves "Jews" There was never a Jew in the promised land. Only Yahudim. Not Ashkenazi's either. Japheth's people were NEVER Yahudim, unless they were a sojourner who joined the people & followed YAH Commandments. YAH's name was in the writings around 6,800 times & HIS people all knew what it was. Repent while you still have time. Turn from your sins & believe on HIS blood sacrifice for the atonement of sins, so you will not perish. May YAH bless all who heed this warning. REPENT!!!

  • @nebraskalens12
    @nebraskalens12 3 дня назад

    Nice try. The bible scriptures say that the northern tribes were taken into exile into Assyria. Then the next sentence says that the king of Assyria then sent various people groups into Northern Israel, to ensure that the real tribes would not return. Your use of the name "Shema" is merely another way of saying the name of the diety that your people worshipped back then, "Ashema". Yah will be back soon to set the record straight. Then the dynasties that ruled during the construction of the 2nd temple and after that, treated what was once holy, as nothing less than a pile of dung, so they could own what once was, with their precious money. Gog of Magog will be dealt with soon & the Holy ones of The Most High, Yah will be led by HIS SPIRIT & throw out the unrepentant sinners. May Yah bless those who heed this warning.

      @@nebraskalens12 Your claim relies on outdated interpretations and ignores what modern genetic research has actually shown. While DNA studies might not definitively label Samaritans as ‘ancient Israelites’ in the strictest sense, they absolutely debunk the myth that Samaritans are ‘Kutim’ or foreigners transplanted by the Assyrians. Our genetic profile is distinct and rooted in this region, proving that we were not brought in from some foreign land as replacements. The Samaritan community has maintained our unique culture, ancient Hebrew script, and religious practices for thousands of years. These are not the marks of a transplanted population but of an indigenous group with deep, authentic roots. The science is clear: we are not outsiders to this land, and simplistic historical misinterpretations won’t change that.

    I have a few questions, how much of Aramaic can you understand? Such as the translation of the Torah by Onkelos. Did Samaritans at any time use Aramaic as their spoken language? Is the firm of Hebrew you demonstrate in this video only for reading of the Torah? Or is it the language you use in everyday life as well? I’m glad to have found your videos. I’ve been wanting to learn about this subject for a while, but hadn’t found the kind of sources I was looking for until now!

    Palestine must be liberated from the Israeli occupation, and the world must recognize that Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine ✝️🇵🇸☪️ Muslims and Christians lived in Palestine in 1500 before Britain and the Jews came in 1948 to occupy Palestine. The Israeli occupation kills Muslims and Christians. Believe me, I am telling the truth. I am a Palestinian. My father and my 8-year-old sister were killed, and many of my relatives are in Europe and America. The media does not want you to see the truth. What is happening in Palestine. Genocide. The Israeli occupation army. A year ago, 47,000 Palestinian civilians were killed, including them. 20,000 children, 15,000 women, a large number of elderly people, 300 journalists, 180 civil defense workers, and more than 100 doctors, all of this in just a year. Since 1948, every day a Palestinian is killed or sentenced to five thousand years in prison, and there are people who were sentenced to 10,000 years, and there are children who were sentenced to 1,000 years, and they are only today in the occupation prisons, prohibited from visiting (Save Palestine)

      מחמדים has nothing to do with the name of Muhammad It is a plural conjugation from the noun מחמד from חמד which means desired. חִכּוֹ֙ מַֽמְתַּקִּ֔ים וְכֻלּ֖וֹ מַֽחֲמַדִּ֑ים זֶ֤ה דוֹדִי֙ וְזֶ֣ה רֵעִ֔י בְּנ֖וֹת יְרֽוּשָׁלָֽםִ: In context a woman is speaking here and she is speaking about Solomon’s mouth. She starts by saying ממתקים a plural noun meaning sweet.

    Hello, I was born Jewish, but since I went to live for two years in Israel, in 2006, where I discovered my brothers from Samaria, where I discovered this truth about history, Mount Gerizim, I do not consider as such, a Samaritan, because since my childhood there were doubts with rabbinism. For years I have not argued with the rabbis about the word Elohim, because for me it means El Ayam, and you just told me that, in your video, I cried with joy and relief, so thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I ended up believing that I was alone
