@@dorisferguson589 stretching the width should still work well, but stretching the length of sandals with a very open toe or strappy minimal this way may not. But for strappy sandals the footbed length is the key and you’re stuck with that as is unfortunately - you can only stretch shoe uppers.

It’s worth a try and I really hope it works for youyou 🤞🤞.5cm is just over half a US shoe size though & about 3/4 of a euro size. So that’s about the max I’ve been able to stretch the length of leather shoes. Synthetic shoes may not stretch as well, but if it’s not much money it’s worth trying. Lots of luck 🍀

I'm usually 44 / 11.5 us women's in Nike and wear 42 Campos so 42 should be plenty for you. But shoe fit is very individual so it's always best to check with Veja direct if you're unsure of sizing or if buying elsewhere make sure you can return them (hopefully for free) if they don't feel right. Sorry for late reply. I don't know what type of shoes you mean? Width stretching has worked for all shoes i've tried so far. Length stretching works best for leather/suede. Hope this helps

All the shoes I wear regularly have stayed stretched. But I do need to stretch seasonal shoes each year, especially fabric/synthetic shoes. My suede winter boots stay a little wider permanently, but I still stretch them every year to get max benefit.

Wow thanks for the compliments. 😊 I've had feedback from others that wetting or spraying the shoes helps stretching alright. I've never tried it yet because just using the shoe stretcher on its own has always worked for me so far and means I don't have to stress about wetting the shoes causing any change in appearance or damage etc. I'd be wary of exposure to sunlight affecting the colour of the shoes though.

It’s been a one time thing for me with leather and suede. Man made materials keep the stretch fairly well too once I wear the shoes regularly, but say my fabric Toms would need restretching each summer.

I WISH! I’ve size 11 us / 9 uk feet! The stretchers come in different sizes for men, women & even kids

@@ben.x I only wish I had pretty small feet! 😊 I’d still recommend trying to find brands that are wide enough e.g. some sports brands like brooks & new balance do different widths. But if you already have shoes that feel too narrow or really want a shoe that doesn’t come wide enough, this has worked very well for me, especially with leather

@@prettybigshoes When I didn’t have the shoe stretcher they were quite hard but I guess the stretching weakened them but I’m fine with that

I’ve never tried vans, but leather shoes stretch best so suede should work well too. Even my synthetic sneakers have all stretched. But stretching width works much better than length.

Ouch! Sorry they stretched too much for you. I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard that wetting leather & then drying with a hairdryer can shrink it?

@@guyredares ah, then they might just shrink back themselves if you leave them a while without wearing them. I find I need to restretch non leather shoes/sneakers the following season after a gap wearing them

@@devmore8942 yes indeed they’re designed to do both at the same time. But from my experience they’re more effective at widening. Lengthwise I’ve been able to stretch at most half a US/UK size

No the only problem I had was the hole at the heel after a year. But veja replaced them and my new Campos are nearly a year old now & all good 👍

No I don’t find them heavy to wear, but they do feel quite substantial in the hand - my size 42 shoe weighs 400g/14oz approx

I don't have any converse so can't advise on this unfortunately. But I have used it on canvas fabric TOMS (the pink pair shown in the video) and it worked fairly well for me. It's just the effect doesn't last unless you wear the shoes all the time, so I need to keep restretching them if I haven't been wearing them.
