I've seen several guys take the frame side motor mounts and trace them on a piece of 3/8" plate. Cut that out & use it as a spacer. They said it will lift the motor up enough to clear the oil pan and allow the motor to come forward enough to not have to mess with the firewall.

Was you able to drive it without the lift? I have an 03 and just got 20s wrapped in 35s but I don’t have the norcal mod done yet..

i am a bit late but for everyone who has this problem with idling good but cutting out when giving gas try this! turn the pilot screws (air/fuel mixture screws) L: 2 1/2 turns out and R: 3 turns out that should be a good base map and go from there. If you have trouble idling play with the Left screw (Philips screw!) its located at the bottom of the carb next to the vent line if you have trouble with mid range till top end but idles fine, play with the right screw. The THUMB screw is your idle rev it should be around 3 turns out THIS DOESNT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR QUAD RUNNING RICH OR LEAN
