I am a ASE master certified automotive technician for 40 plus years you are wrong the best way to bleed a master cylinder is to have plastic lines going back to the reservoir and make sure all air comes out of it when you're pushing in on it you can bench bleed it or hook it up to do that and after that hook up the brake lines going to it and crack them a little bit and push down on the brake pedal and don't take your foot off the break petal and tighten up both break lines if you are lucky you might not have to bleed the whole system 😂

I have a 2013 Kia optima sxl turbo. I’m leaking coolant , temp gauge keeps going up and down but today while driving the temp gauge was stuck high. Already change the lower hose, thermostat and thermostat housing . Can you guess what my issue might be.

This isn’t totally the wrong way to do. If you put some barb fittings on the insert and run hoses from the fittings to a bottle of brake fluid. Once you see a solid amount of brake fluid coming out of the clear lines it’s done. Make sure you’re doing this and the hoses running down like gravity bleeding.

You can't remove all the air from a dry master cylinder without cycling the piston. If the fluid could move past the seals and displace the air, then the seals wouldn't be able to trap the fluid and build pressure during normal operation.

Bro didn't even bother cleaning anything....straight work van. LOL Just a note, don't ever spray your caliper with PB Blaster. The oil products will seep into the brake fluid and ruin your whole brake system. Once you get petroleum product into the brake fluid, it swells the rubber seals everywhere. You will know your brake fluid is contaminated when you pull some out and put it into a glass. The oil and brake fluid will separate into two layers that you can easily see. Also I don't think you used enough grease............ sheesh

I don't see any issue with this, don't know what people are on about. Any air is right there at the top, it'll travel to the reservoir immediately. If people are concerned about that tiny bit of not-trapped air, I'd like to show them how much air is actually in the rest of their system, and how much of it is trapped in joints and parts that they'll never get out with regular bleeding. reverse flush is king imo, one man job with a $3 500ml syringe.

Bench bleed the damn thing. Brake fluid is going to eat that paint.

I dont see why it wouldn't work. After i bench bleed them you have to pull the bleed tubes of anyway. I just dont drip fluids on my nice paint job but if its a beater who cares just throw water over it.

My brother told me, maybe my thermostat cause the issues.. so I bought thermostat n have it ready for my mobile mechanic guy… he asked me to get the thermostat housing, since the new one didn’t have the seal…. I do what he asked , so I went n got the thermostat housing…after he replace it … car run for 5min my needle point to hot again 😩and the car won’t start .. what could happen can you think of?
