Where was cognition before the human brain evolved? Consciousness - where was it before the human brain? Where will it be after the sun going nova burns the last living cell from the earth? The Human is an eminently organic creature. The smallest meaningful part of a human is an idividual cell. What if - as I suspect - consciousness is founded in the life of the cell? Your view of the cosmic consciousness is no more plausible than that. Consciousness is a neccessary prerequisite for sensing and sensibility - and on to experience. Your say yourself, that consciousness is of an experiential nature, and there is no experience without the human senses, the human brain and body, and the human language. There have been lots of experiments around sense deprivation - and none of it good. If you can not tell others of your experiences, they are not really human experience, are they? The individual and totally isolated experience, is no more than a rustle in the grass. I do not know the "real" nature of conscousness, and neither do you, Bernardo. Your hallucinatory experiences with mind-changing chemicals are no more than your physical senses and memory twisted out of shape. I doubt strongly, that your real consciense - whatever it may be - is in any sense touched.

If there were no mentation before big bang and everything happened on it's own without a plan, who tuned the universal constants? This must have been done before the big bang and could only have been done for a specific reason by a so highly evolved awareness structure no biologically evolved being will ever be near to.

Death is never experienced in the first person, the same as birth, because when death comes one is already gone, that is our consciousness is delocalized, what we can experience is pain. Death or delocalization of finite consciousness is experienced in second person.Infinite consciousness is not aware of itself, therefore when our finite consciousness is delocalized we will not be aware of it either, the same thing that happened before what we call being born.

BK’s theory of idealism goes so far beyond the constraints of determinism. Sapolsky and other physicalists absolutely miss the point when discussing free will v determinism because they are so straightjacketed by their erroneous conception of matter as primary

People who are already aware the contradictory explanations proposed by mainstream thinkers in regards to the frankly paradigm destroying results of experiments on local realism and entanglement could be persuaded by a single short penetrating rebuttle by Bernardo. Notice I said tinkers not physicists, these results don't require solving the Schrodinger equation, but simply using empirical evidence. Rational, thought, parsimony and a clear explanation or theory; analytic idealism provides this.

I took the first course from 3 years ago. Four times. I wanted to memorize and understand each conceptual step that you took. I was well satisfied. I feel I have a strong internal model of the logical steps that led you to this variety of idealism. For me like you, I have to get it right logically. I think you need to understand materialism better than you do. Consciousness is what matter does when arranged in a particular way, it isn;t a substance or thing outside ordinary matter. All you're doing so far is adding explanations to explain your misundertanding about what you're trying to explain. Consciousness doesn;t exist without an awake brain doing something to generate it, of course it can't be separated and bottled.

A prism/Pyramid of glass with light shined into it produces a rainbow (configures light into multiple different frequencies) and we say the Pyramid creates a rainbow yet it's really the light being shines into it. We ourselves are much like this spectrophotometer.

Dr. Kastrup’s theory could have profound impacts on humanity if it becomes the dominant worldview. Theism was the dominant worldview for most of humanity’s metacognitive existence and its successor-materialism- is beginning to lose sway among the intellectual elite. In this video, Dr. Kastrup goes beyond what he can support scientifically to express his personal opinion that humans’ metacognition benefits God/the mind of nature and as a result our lives are meaningful and worth the suffering that we endure as a result of our disassociation with the mind of nature, which is the ultimate source of reality. Like all other beliefs about ultimate reality, Dr. Kastrup’s belief requires a leap of faith. And I think a lot of people will not find much sufficient meaning in the belief that our lives that are inherently filled with suffering are worthwhile because they benefit an ultimate source of reality that is not metacognitive. His theory also does not seem to be comprehensive in that it doesn’t address the source of the mind of nature, which perhaps science will never be able to address. Practically, his theory does seem to narrow the differences between those who believe in an ultimate source of reality that is impersonal and those that do. Dr. Kastrup bases his belief that ultimate reality is impersonal based on his inability to justify suffering in the world. That’s the most profound issue that humanity has been grappling with for all of recorded history and Dr. Kastrup’s scientific theory or even personal beliefs don’t seem to bring us any closer to a fully satisfactory answer to the question of suffering.

I am a 71 year old retired attorney who is spending what’s left of her ‘time’ on the planet hoping to better understand the nature of reality. After watching the course, I was thrilled to discover you’ve written several books. I am starting with your ‘materialism is baloney’ book. I also watched your 5 hour interview with Curt J. on TOE. Throughout that interview, Curt’s expressions often mirrored my own perplexity, which is why I was so happy to discover the essentia foundation and your course. So, again, thank you; it is comforting to know I am not alone in this quest. I just wish I had stumbled upon you sooner!

Following this line of reasoning, DID patients, if given a psychedelic in either the host personality or any of the alters, should only be affected when the personality that took the drug is present and not in any of the others. Am I correct here? So, if I suffer from DID and I ingest a strong psychedelic like DMT while in the host personality state and my alter then emerges and has executive control of the body, my alter should not report the DMT experience, but rather should feel unaffected and report what a person would experience that had not taken DMT. If I am correct about this, then this would support analytic idealism for sure. If these types of experiments have been conducted (which might be hard for ethical reasons), then that would be a significant contribution to our understanding of the nature of reality.

The ego has an authority problem. It is the futile attempt of the unwilling (conditioned) part of us to control the larger (unconditional) part of us, aka free will.

Enlightened awareness proves that "the world" is not a constant and has objective properties as constants only via the physical body. The delusion is the perceptions don't realize that they are perciever itself. Your assumption in this video is that the actual world is limited to names and forms which is limited and stuck in the perceptions. Reality or the actual world can also be formless. It's from the formless perspective of the dimensionsless dimension of the soul/OM where we can clearly see that it wasn't an "actual world" but a "body/world ". The very same physical phenomenon that we experience with our physical bodies and senses transforms into light when we experience the exact same phenomenon with our body of light (astral body). The same principle applies with the ethereal body/world but from there the next stage or layer is formless wherein our sense of identity/self changes from self to Self. That is from a body identity (physical or celestial) body to an identity of Self as a formless dimensionsless living soul/OM. Therefore the world was Self manifesting as self and it was the body manufacturing one reality or another depending on the body. Therefore "the actual world " is really an emanation of our self which in turn is a manifestation of our Self. Humanity has had a severe physchotic break from this primordial formless reality that was in the beginning. That which was "in the beginning " was,is and will be yet the human race is having a physchotic break wherein they are completely oblivious and out of touch with this immortal formless soul/OM part of themselves which is outside of space and time only living with the false identity or limited identity that they are physical bodies living in an objective physical world inside of space and time. It's completely insane.

So in patroern QA john V. i think on the fly came up with similar language when talking about free will.. We don't want to live in a random universe .. were every trhng is arbitrary and not meaningful.. I'm sure i'm not doing any service. Now my argument that the thing we are trying to save that science seems to want to snuff out ... that thing most often called free will.. that isn't easily described .. is this is my future open or is already defined like a movie playing out. but the end was always going to be what it ends up being. .. i say if we exist in a purely deterministic universe or a purely micro macro duel universe and were stuck in the determinism side than the frontal lobe would never have evolved. There would be no need for a high level hard choice making mechanisms.. if the choice was n't actually real.. . the frontal lobe could only evolve in a universe where choice existed or where the future was not necessarily determined. ..and biology exists in a 3 rd middle ground where the randomness of quantum field theory or of the micro melds with the strict determinism of the macro in such away that is expressed by biology in manner that we can say gives us agency , gives us choice , and ultimately meaning.. ..

Dualism is rea.l it's just another part of nature and energy expressing perhaps without a physical form. Within the one which is not dual there is always dualism Yin Yang Light Dark; all the worlds. Only consciousness As a flow of potential and possibility it is non dual it is the one with no other ..

The root meaning of the word “maya” is "to measure". When you consider the measurements as if they were the beings and things themselves, you are living in illusion. There is only Consciousness, the Immeasurable - Brahman

The body has no life of itself. Thought has no life of itself. By themselves, they are inert. They are activated by life. Life is the only Being. What is life? What is consciousness? When activated by life, thought creates the idea "I", a simulacrum of Being. Because thought is limited, the simulacrum, the representation, is limited, insufficient. Consciousness, which is life, cannot be measured - it is infinite, unknowable. Because life is infinite, the simulacrum, by reflection, wants to be complete too. So, it goes after power, position, fortune, and all the rest of it, never reaching completeness. In this ambition, it creates division, competition, wars and destruction. In this movement of becoming, the simulacrum has continuity, with all its miseries. Do I depend on thought to be alive and conscious? Who or what am I? Can I measure who or what I am? With which instrument? Am I not the unknowable, the infinite, the timeless?
