Hello everyone welcome to Donideas on RUclips!
My name is Adrian and I love the challenge of designing and making simple yet unique projects outdoors, especially when they involve materials like aluminum, acrylic or wood. If there is an idea for a project I will look for a way to create it. So if you are a curious person or if you like to make projects here you will find all kinds of DIY, tutorials, step by step, how to projects, crafts, wood art, woodworking, carpentry projects, handmade projects, projects with common tools, projects in all kinds of materials and the making process of my projects.
My goal is to inspire other to use their imagination and creativity to create unique pieces with their hands at a professional level without being a professional :).

In this video I try to make an artifact or tool that I didn't think was possible to make out of wood. I've been designing this for a while now, it's one of the few projects where I've made a prototype to see how it works and perfect it. The end result is a super functional tool that can do what it's supposed to do, and it's also super stable, for those who may ask.

Angle your plane slightly, so that the blade is not square on to the direction of the cut and you will get a better result with less effort. Think guillotine blade action!

What is the name of this wood?
It it Mahogany but this one in particular is super dense and heavy
All of this for a go pro camera holder? I liked the process, order of operations, and all though, I thought this was going to be applied to something heavy duty: DSLR camera, studio light, hell even a large version of the Dyson SolarCycle™ task light.

Borrow moms hatachi and give that mold a buzz buzz while the concrete is wet. If you made your stencils out of silicone too they would be easier to reuse.

This is the best video on making discs!! Tip: you should have weighed the materials in two bags and not mixed them, with the aim of making two mixtures at once, one more liquid with finer sand for a better finish on the outer faces and another with more stones for the inner part. You do not mention whether, once dry, the discs weigh what they indicate. It is very important to use something to vibrate the concrete, you can also use a rubber hammer and tap it lightly around, especially on the bottom cover.

Impressive effort ...but how do you make sure that a "25lb plate" actually weighs 25 pounds -- or that the weight of any two plates is consistent?
Thank you, yeah you need to be very precise weighing the dry mix and that’s not that hard, and with the water you just need to have a measurement that’s it.
It's only concrete, you just make sure you're half a pound over and grind it off the flat side after it's made to make it very accurate or at least as accurate as your scales, that's how i did mine when i made some aluminium ones.

Believe it or not they are still intact and I use them twice a week, probably thanks to the silicone bumper.

the silicon bumpers aren't a good idea, i think you can find a better replacement in hardware store which is easier to do and not as labor intensive like rubber strips or something else. Other than that they are gorgeous.
