those are great suggestions (i think) but i don't know the first thing about those commands/events as for the resolution (that's more of my field since im an artist but) i dont know how to fix that either if the max size is lower than most modern monitor resolutions downscaling 1920 x 1080 to a max width of 1024 yields 1024 x 576 which is not great but i think its the only option with the limitation, unless the resolution limit is bigger for decals instead (?) ive stopped learning roblox studio for like 2 years now i dont know much of anything i just made this meme tutorial video for a friend

@@iciclepops is there a way to have 1 image and have a script so it takes a random position and moves the image there? (basically move one image around randomly)

@@sedemu i dont know much about coding but im pretty sure there's a possible way to do that, since u can set the position of the gui image, and then just provide a controlled random value in a script to replace that value. ill see if i can do it

hmm... scripting is not actually my expertise (i basically just compiled a bunch of info i found on the internet) but I imagine it goes something like this: > Design/Code a UI that has buttons for all the filters you want > store the filter as a value/Array of ColorCorrection values (Brightness,Contrast,Saturation, and TintColor) > make separate array values for separate filters > script the UI buttons to call for the filterArray values and change the ColorCorrection values for client-side only If you didn't understand half of what I just said don't worry: I don't either 😅 but basically ColorCorrection (which can be found in the Lighting Folder in Explorer Tab/Workspace) works basically like filters (especially the TintColor property). if I figure out how to do it like you described I swear i'll make a tutorial! But keep in mind that I'm really not that smart so i might give up lol

before u play test the game does the unmoving semi-transparent film grain appear and only disappears when u playtest?

​@@imbetterthanu42000thank you for clarifying, i just need a few more questions answered so I can identify the problem: 1.) when you open the image tab at time 3:10 of the video, can you see the film grains in the preview or are they blank? 2.) watching this video again i noticed a huge mistake/oversight I made when creating the script- I should've specified that you put it inside the ImageLabel (and not ScreenGui or anywhere else). did you do that? and Finally, I'm pretty sure this problem has to do with the script or something since if you can see the static image of the film grain then the previous steps are already correct, the problem lies when you playtest and the script causes it to change the image files and become blank or something (might be a number of reasons as to why that happens)

@@iciclepops 1. yeah, i can and i'm pretty sure i did everything right idk tho 2. i did put the script inside the Image label but it still doesnt work so im wondering how to fix this since the previous steps are already correct

@@imbetterthanu42000 alright, i'll look into this issue i do have some theories though: A.) the script got broken because of a roblox update that changed the code B.) this script is not as good as I thought it was and is prone to mistakes C.) the asset IDs of the film grains you're pulling haven't been accepted/moderated by roblox yet

lmaooooooo if you watch the video again and look closely you can see that i sped up, cut, and even switched some of the clips. if you look at the clock on the bottom right you'll see that the time constantly switches back and forth, the whole "switching the music on youtube" was just there to give the video a personality and comedic effect you can also see an ad playing where the "music" should've been playing but the ad doesn't cut the music so- yeah lmao that's just how I like to edit

Yeah you can turn scripts on or off anytime you like (enable or disable) Just make a new script on the object you want to be touched and add a touch event that enables the film grain script

​@@iciclepopslike to keep back ground transparency without effecting visual effects places on screens. For example: Mother 3 PK abilities, it made an overlay of screen sprites transparency over enemies without loosing the flashy quality of the art.

​@@scarfyproxy6789 searched up what PK abilities look like and I think I get what you mean. I think the solution is just to: A.) find a film grain image that only keeps the white "grains" itself and the black part is replaced by transparency B.) make your own film grains! just draw some white dust particles and scribbles and export it as a transparent PNG normally you should be using the "Multiply" Blending Mode layer on image editing softwares to remove the black background but roblox doesn't have that unfortunately (i think)

Do you mean a single frame of the film grain doesn't appear when the script runs? or do you mean the top part of the filter doesn't cover the whole screen? Because if it's the last one you might've forgotten to tick IgnoreGuiInset on in ScreenGui

@@iciclepops No, there's a gap when each photo changes, and I have no idea how to fix this

@@iciclepops For me, when it finishes the "loop", there's a gap with no image at all

@@justmrcrow well in my experiences it only has those gaps when i first test the game, it usually goes away after 2-10 seconds. probably just server or client lag. or maybe one of the film grain images is incompatible or something

Dunno whatchu talking about but try pixelating the image file yourself using photoshop (or any other editing software) Its easy to do on ibisPaintX (android) but ive never touched the others on pc so cant help with that. I just made this tutorial for a friend I dont actually know a lot about studio xd
