Thank you, thank you, thank you... That is great info. So on our way into Buffalo (from the east) we did stop at that Cenex thinking that was the one with the dump. We quickly realized it was not, but I did not see any water. Thats a great lead about the propane there too. I was not sure what the rules about the water were are the NF campgrounds, I know the one not too far from this spot had water, but I thought it best for me not to mention that just incase people were really not supposed to get water there if they were not camped there. Thanks for the info. We really loved Elgin, well minus all the people parking in our campsite to use their cellphones 8) Thanks for watching and even more for taking the time to comment. I can confirm the first time (2022) we were scared out of our minds since we did not have a chance to check it out before we drove the switchbacks. We had intended to park down in the Sinks Canyon areas by the river but they were full. This time we felt more confident, but not cocky... 8)

Thanks Jim and Michelle, yes I am pretty sure you guys could navigate the switchbacks no problem, we always try to hit them early in the morning if we can so there is less chance of traffic, but in general they are not that busy during the week. Plus there are passing areas so if us RVers are holding up traffic we can let people pass.

Thanks for touching base, honestly I'm not sure if it would but I can't imagine why it wouldn't. We had a range extender in our home when we lived in sticks and bricks and it should duplicate any wifi signal that you set it up to extend. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I can only speak to the area where we stayed and since we were down in that valley area are cell service was pretty much non-existent, however, our friends were right at the top of the hill from us and had really strong Verizon and AT&t if I remember correctly.

Dana, thanks for reaching out. So we had absolutely no issues in the evening. It's really nice too because they give you a lighting rig so it is lit up like Christmas most of the evening. Now that being said, we were in Midland, Texas which is Northwest and not right on the border which potentially could be a little different. But haven't heard really of much trouble overall from any of the guards that we interacted with.- Kyle

Joey, I'm pretty sure that is allowable, but there is a restriction that you can not camp beyond a certain distance from the vault toilets. If you're not a self-contained unit. You might want to check on the BLM site for ltva. It will have a clear indication but I know I've seen other people out there intense but they all need to be within a certain number of feet of the restrooms

Joey, here is the The link. At the bottom of the page you will see a supplemental download. You'll see on that supplemental download that certain LTVAs do not allow tents, but others are not listed. We did not, we had dumped before we got there and ended up having to wait until our next spot to dump again. That's one thing that place is lacking. 8(

Jeremiiah, sounds like your monthly expenses are around the same as ours. Just as I got notificaiton of your comment I was editing our August 2024 video that will come out on Wednesday, I hope you will check it out. We are much more on budget in August.
