@joshuahedahl6768 it's a limping cylinder not a dead one. it's got low compression not none. at about 1.5k rpm it runs fine cause it builds pressure but till it gets that power to it it's low compression on cylinder 1. I'll be changing oil weight and seeing if that will build the compression on that cylinder and if that doesn't help I'll be taking the head off to see what's going on in there. also i dodnt put it in this condition. the previous owner let his buddies drive the piss out of it and they ripped the timing belt and it didn't run at all when I bought it. I've revived what they said was a dead car amd will continue to make it run better each time I work with it.

I didn't mean for it to seem like I was yelling at ya. if you watch all the previous videos and shorts you'll see ive done the best I can for having no idea what I'm doing so far. it has been a very fun experience and I hope it'll run better as I go with it.

@hiimholdin2397 i found it was actually the air intake manifold had blown out in cylinder one position. they are made of plastic on the dodge neon and it was in terrible shape. I ordered a new intake manifold and made a video patching the old one up to see if I seal all the holes if it'll run. I'll be making a video on that here soon

@JasonGoldsmith1992 it's 100% timing at this point the injectors are fine they all work.

that would be rather impossible as both the plugs and plug wires are brand new and the engine hasnt ran since installing them

thanks for the advice. ill give that a try tomorrow. where would i spray said starter fluid? do i take the airbox off and spray it down the pipe?

@itatsuuchiha4408 starter fluid is 2 dollers i would do that before putting more time in other things. Especially because you can break the plastic fuel lines very easily

i paid a whole 300$ for it. really as a way to learn how to work on cars better. i was told the camshaft sensor was the code issue and i replaced that but it didnt fix the issue so my roomate suggested the crankshaft position sensor (which he then proceeded to break upon attempting to remove it cause it wouldnt come out and he gave it a try). its not a huge loss as the rest of the car is in fantastic condition and can probably be sold as a roller for 800$ with title. but i figure i can give it the ole try to get it running before i just say meh

the battery holds power just fine its just been idle for a long time is why it was low on power
