Maori are such.bullshitters...
Dozens of species were killed out by Māori they would not have known what conservation was more myths and legends around
Really? Maybe u need to learn N.Z history e Kare! 2:47 2:50 2:52
I know quite a bit about New Zealand history really yes really
Lol "sabatical", enobling euphemism and fancy speak for lacked discipline, burnt out, gave up on the job, and then fucked off. Same thing happened to me, but I called it a 'hiatus'. I'll call it a sabbatical from now on.
Djimoooooo Abraço de Moçambique.
Wonderful! Loving how the most conscious kind eco-minded versions of capitalism AND revolutionary post-currency post-scarcity postcapitalism seem to be converging towards the same abundant wonderful places. Postcapitalism is the increasingly emerging solution to the capitalist metacrisis. Decentralization, globally-networked hyperlocalization. Regenerative UBA - universal basic "accets" (assets/access) with ecological/ community commons land stewardship can also happen via the private/refi/dao/nonprofit and/or public sectors. Evolved "marketplaces" of options for essentials like housing, food, healthcare, education, transportation... for $0, aided by automation and AI. Are there still great clubhouse conversations on these wavelengths going on? If not as much, anyone know other places those sorts of things are going on these days?
in the ninetys i donated money to buy 20,000 square meters rainforest for expanding the Yasuni National Park in Ecuador. I am also with two hektar involved in a project in Germany where we lett a natural forest go wild. I wonder why so few people are interested in this?
These two aren’t bad to look at and the set decor is soothing too
While I do not want to dospute what is being talked about in this discussion...... As far as the reality of being on the ground here in Costa Rica Sur, I would say that this rosey picture is rather over stated.
What about stopping the dumping of 1080 in the forests and flooding our water with fluoride ❤
omikami ?
You'd better get to work suing HAARP, all factories and those cutting the Amazon down then
Funding is destroying the Country, corupted Countries in because we can see how these people collected funding, making themselves rich but the tax payers poor, like investment, to his was the inviroment was reaped off by outside, running in the Country like Asians products and businesses running in, as took off lots of the Country, business money, and savings, and created their own needs and investment, to hat was why the Country is corupted, because they sitting in all departments, Companies ,now they controlling the Country, like they own but they playing with funding for the Country, but they using as their own but the tax payers money is paying ,but they invested everywhere, but corupted the Country, that destroyed the economy, New Zealand all products was holding by these faked businesses running in even we can see these people they talking about, money but not people, but they the one who collected funding, they involved with the Government, because we can see organizations agencies they the one who rich from funding but using people, sad
This is exactly what I needed to hear after an overwhelming Climate Week, thank you 🙏🏻
Hyperstition is a great term... love it! I didn't realise that's what we were doing, creating, shaping, driving... glad to give that evolutionary iterative process such an enigmatic label! ☺
Brilliant, insightful, resonates with our experience in Aotearoa but with some unique nuances of our own. Thanks for bringing Troy's work into your space, Ma Earth team.
I appreciate the need for truthful evaluations and the role of retrospective funding but I struggle to see how this might work with multi-faceted projects with a multitude of outcomes, variable outcomes (ecology is messy), and outcomes where benefits are intergenerational, narrative or intangible especially in indigenous contexts. Democratic funding is only useful if the outcomes are widely understood or the data can be visible, many times neither are true in Aotearoa. Ownership of the data and the assignment of value is tricky.
Sorry where did the moa go?
Sorry where did the moa go?
I'm so incredibly grateful to have found this. This matches our thinking completely and is the work we are focused most closely on. Thank you!
Love the Kea's
Amazing episode. Wow. Love the rawness of this conversation. Great content!
I love the interviews hosted by Matthew and it would also be great to hear interviews hosted by BMo, based on this convo, his perspective would bring in quite different interviewees with different but interconnected world views. I'm finding this hugely helpful to those of us piecing together the information and lenses we need to disrupt our current systems and re-build regeneratively.
Is it fair to say that reputation currency can often get overshadowed with nepotism? I find working with people you know that can deliver your project because they share the same values, cultural sensitivity and awareness because they are deeply trusted.
Big respect for this wisdom keeper.
🚀🚀🚀
Incredible the parallels between social impact and equity and the environmental impact and equity. The place where these intersect is where the magic happens!
🚀
Also: Black Mirror displays situations when the rule is one single currency. Looks to me more like a description of Money and not these ‘tribal’ reputation systems.
On Holochain everyone owns their own data also. No central authorities
It’s about to get funky :)) lets go
This is incredible. My nonprofit organization has been working on building collective impact alliances for so long and we still haven’t found an efficient way to document and manage all the things that you’re speaking to here.
Western colonial, not "human", behavior Because of their colonial mentality, which still exists, the West can never form "coalitions". The West is unable to act as equals.
What a joy! I love Rose's remarks about humbling ourselves and offering our gifts, whatever they might be, to the world. Nice conversation, thanks Matthew and Rose.
Thank you for your mahi, Maria and the ImpactLab team! Great to hear your refreshing sanity around data and how you approach these tricky questions.
I have missed Charles, he hasn't shown up in my feed lately, maybe he is not woo woo enough anymore! An interpretation of what the Sabath day was to have no effect on your external natural environment, basically sit and be nature not in it or with it. People are waking up to these ways of being thanks to people like Charles.
He still writes on his substack. He also mentions why he’s backed off of the podcasts/public speaking etc.
A lot of great stuff here. Regarding climate... Just because many of the responses are laughable, doesn't stop the underlying facts from showing climate (and related) is on a terrifying path: global temperatures, ocean heat, ocean acidification, ocean detoxification, albedo, glaciers, habitat destruction, earth energy imbalance...
pointing in the direction of regeneration with these tools available seems like a more important thing to continue focusing on, it comes up anyways with tech ai crypto
I'm from Germany and Marx only picked up on these things from people who always knew what justice really meant and how people are separated from the land and their inner relationship with Mother Earth. We experienced colonization here 2000 years ago when the Romans occupied our land and the last indigenous knowledge was destroyed in times of witch burnings. What is happening all over the world today has its origins more or less exactly in the middle of Europe. And Marx has this connection to Central European history.
This is the vibe
Very well educated young lady.Must have gone to a good school. From her choice of words possibly Marx and Engels U.
Cultural Marxism writ large. Not all sentiments expressed can be judged as coming from a bad place, but seriously, who is going to oversee this redistribution? Who is funding this campaign such that it always at the top of my RUclips feed?
Fantastic!
Learning a stack thank you Ma Earth and contributors. I'm in Aotearoa (will listen to Gift Trust talk next), what options do we/charitable entities have to improve access to these larger pools of funding that domestic funders don't/can't distribute to charitable impact? Thinking access to offshore pools. 🙏🏻
Thanks for having Alex on! :D "This is the time to put some of that tech thinking into philanthropy, and help people be more generous and make their giving more intentional."
Painting a big, green happy face on communism
True. A sickly greenish yellow happy face of all comrades.
Love this 🙌🌟🤍
I worked with Buckminster Fuller for 16 years brought his dome in carbondale 1972 and help preserve it. Bucky was 9 years president of MENSA the smartest persons net work. He only ate steak. This why his brain worked so well, fatty steaks all the time. Plants are killing us for dirt. He told me the inside of a human if you hang it on a clothes line looks the same if you did the same to a lion. We are made to assimilate meat. GEEEERRRRR! Plants are a slow path to very painful death. Bucky was flying around the world 51 times as well in old age.
DAH...
