Arsenio goes off on Queer Nation
Просмотров 1,3 млн17 лет назад
Arsenio is irritated and annoyed when members of the gay rights organization, "Queer Nation" decided to interrupt Arsenio as he was about to introduce his guest Paul Hogan. Arsenio was ticked off at their protest and decided to respond.
Very angry arsenio
Mr Hall went in on em
He stand on Business 👨💼💯
My God I miss him so much thank you for sharing his music with us Mrs Woodson.
Dang, gay people were even insufferable back then too.
Those punks were tryna get Arsenio to punch them out so that they can get money another words file a lawsuit against him but he didn't fall for it what he should have done was have security to escort them out of the building shame what people will do to get money
Arsenio is a supporter of the LGBTQ community btw
this whole lgbtq bee-ehs needs to go. man, those were the days. we were free.
And they got the nerve to say there is no such thing as a stupid question?
I'm sure he was most angry because he really couldn't come out at that time.
lmao
Silly homos dicks are for chicks 😂
lol
Those same guys don't think about slavery n 500 years of 💀
Look at the world today
Those same ppl cheering for him sold us out today
It's ok for y'all to bully everyone. But it isn't ok for Africans to get a PC of Africa
Those same ppl today is so happy the world is the way it is today.
Arsenio implies that Johnny and Merv are cowards. No, they just wouldn't get bent out of shape like a woman like Arsenio Hall did here.
shiat is fake. 😂😂😂
Yeeaaaaaah…. No. You must be young
Stay blessed my lord
Arsenio Hall really looked awesome here.
Well, it's nice to see that people were able to argue about these things before the internet, too.
The Groupthink of these easily led Jerry Springer type audiences is frightening.
This is how to handle the activists
Hell yeah 👍🏽 get em uncle arsenio 👊🏽
This is 100% staged
No, it’s not.
That was his show, period! That’s different!
What’s their problem?
I am a gay man. Arsenio is 100% correct.
They did a good job setting this up. Ppl still eating it up to this day.
It’s not set up golly
RESPECT TO THIS MAN.
‘ It’s from DECEMBER 1990 . I remember watching this back then - I was 14 years old in 1990
Arsenio ROCKS💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Showing my age but I remember that show. He handled that so well and was 100% right
This guy ARSEnio hella emototional, could it be that’s he’s. errr… never mind 💨
Lol, so impromptu. No way this was plugged in. I'm so impressed with his courage, live tv a never dull moment.
If Paul Hogan came out wearing a wig and holding a rainbow flag, I would've died.
Hall's clap back was the greatest! They should find those idiots and interview them now. Probably felt really stupid when they couldn't get him to step down to their level.
Awesome
The good old day! Freedom of speech was a beautiful thing
Who's here in 2024
I consider myself an ally of LGBTQIA+ folks, but I solidly side with Hall on this. Hall, an ethnic minority, mind you, had to have a run on the beleaguered FOX show The Late Show that was so successful that its ratings, especially in the 18-49 demo, actually looked decent for the first time in a minute in order to be considered for a talk show of his own. This is 1990 we're talking about, so there weren't gonna be a lot of LGBTQIA+ public figures who were gonna be out at the time, something the Queer Nation people in attendance for this episode failed to consider. Those particular public figures who appeared on Hall's syndicated show probably wanted the spotlight on whatever work they wanted to promote anyway.
Paul Hogan keeping Aresenio calm was priceless
It still blows my mind to this day that a group of racist Caucasians from the LGBTQ community interrupted this man’s show to complain about inequality. The irony of it is unbelievable.
*cough* set up *cough*
People like you are ticking me off. You have no idea how to worked at the time so don’t pretend you know what you’re talking about.
I take it this is why Arsenio Hall was cancelled.
It wasn’t, it’s because of Louis Farrakhan I think.
@@KenMasters. And you, fruit boy.
One of my top favorite 5 singers! Miss that era and some folks long gone!
Arsenio is a good example of why it's so important to have a father in the house. He's overly emotional just like a woman. He got his feelings hurt and came unglued and then he became a victim whining that he's black. I remember seeing this as a kid and cringed. I just cringed again watching it again.
Are you serious right now? That is NOT why he was mad. He got mad because a couple of rude people interrupted his show just to complain that people they wanted on the show weren’t on it. That movement at the time was very powerful and very in your face. Don’t tell me you cringed at it as a kid when you as a kid wouldn’t make heads or tails out of what he was talking about- if you said what you just said to a kid he wouldn’t under so don’t pretend you did as a kid either. No, he wasn’t a victim- he was standing his ground against a couple of jerks making a scene at his show. At the time, black people still had a couple of hurdles left, and he obviously grew up with a bit more when you think of a little thing called history. He was trying to point out that he knows what’s discrimination is, so why would he discriminate against something as meaningless to him as sexual orientation? His feelings weren’t hurt- he was just angry, and I wonder if he didn’t do that, would they have carried on? Or are you suggesting anger is nonexistent?
@@LASERobot A man doesn't get emotional like that. Like I said... he clearly was raised by a single mother and acted just like one himself. He could've made them look stupid without looking like a female on her period. Man, it'd be hilarious to watch them get dismantled by somebody like Joe Rogan or Bill Burr.
Looking at 2024 this is wild
When he said I'm black, I felt that in my soul! 💕
😂😂😂
Respect
One of the many reasons why the 90s was the peak of society.
