Supreme Sailfish | Maldives | Rankaru Sports
An early morning charter of Rankaru Sports Fishing whilst holidaying at the Riu Palace proved to be an excellent choice:- top boat, knowledgeable skipper and hard working crew.
The pelagic fish are prolific in the Maldives and the guys found me every species I asked for. The day was full of fun, thank you Hussain Paaniee and Ezaan Ahmed for making it so.
The GT was released, but all other fish were kept to eat. The Maldivian staple diet of fresh fish was a pleasure to savour whilst visiting this beautiful part of the world.

Magnificent Marlin | Barbados | Lucky Penny
Просмотров 21 тыс.Год назад
I chartered Lucky Penny for a 6hr trip whilst holidaying in Barbados and what a fantastic day it was. Skipper Danny and crewman Randy found me every species I asked to catch. Certainly the best day at sea on the pelagic fish that I've had, these guys are top professionals. Marlin are a sports fish and to be released, but this poor fish's heart burst so we kept it to eat, sad but at least it did...
40lb+ Cod in Abundance | Norway | XLyngen | Anglers World
Просмотров 24 тыс.Год назад
In 2022, catch and release was the theme for this year's trip and didn't it feel good to put back some huge cod and halibut to preserve the stocks. Covid stole last year's trip, we nearly missed this one too as SAS Airlines striking meant booking additional flights with Norwegian Airlines and Gatwick Airport instead of Manchester. A steady week fishing overall apart from a couple of hours of pr...
Halibut Galore | Norway | XLyngen | Anglers World

2020 and our sixth year in a row boat angling in Norway at XLyngen. We managed to escape from the worries of the Covid pandemic for a week and had our best fishing there yet. This video is the output from seven GoPros, some strapped to the two boats and others on selfie sticks to film underwater, a Water Wolf as well to capture the fish in their domain. I experimented this year with a camcorder...
Huge Halibut | Norway | XLyngen | Anglers World
Просмотров 7 тыс.4 года назад
2019, our fifth consecutive year at XLygen and probably the best yet - halibut galore. How great it was to travel before the Covid pandemic was around. Fantastic fishing and plenty of laughs with some great company. First year for Jack, Luke and Connor, they fished hard and caught some monsters, no Norwegian records (yet!) but everything was bigger than can be caught in British waters nowadays....
Bull Sands Fort - BBC Look North - Extreme Adventurers - Hull - Humber Estuary - Powerboat
Просмотров 22 тыс.5 лет назад
Update 2020 - Footage used by BBC Look North for an article on 'extreme adventurers' - what not to do in the Humber Estuary. Infamous at last? However, please note the wearing of divers dry suits and Hi-Vis clothing on top as well as automatic life jackets - three RIBs and all in touch on VHF radio. Were we travelling too fast at times, I'll let you decide? Would I go on Bull Fort again - not l...

2018 was another really good year for the halibut and what a fantastic difference the new bigger boats at XLyngen make. Fourth year in a row at XLyngen for Paul Siddle and Brian Towle, third year for Graham Stansfield, Jason Joyce, Lee Gregson and joined this year by old mate Dave Tennant. Special thanks to Lucas ('Lucky') for being a great fishing guide and also for putting up with our, well m...

fished out of torzvag .norway last year .and only halibut allowed to keep .had to be 1.2m in length. or.returned.
Great video but even more amazing tune at the end !!!!! What is the song called please many thanks
Doesn't look like ya'll bleed the fish immediately. Why is that?
awesome.
Thanks!
Well done Paul 👏
Please release those fish they are gonna go extinct if everyone keeps fishing them and no I’m not commenting this on this video only I’m trying to spread awareness so these fish can grow again and yes ofc take 1 or 2 maybe 3 if ur lucky but a lot is not good but nice catch
Thank you for raising awareness.
Saragossa, very good reel.
Looks like you had well over your quota there boys 😂😂
What was the price for your trip mate? I'm be going in April and I need to prepare myself with a lot of info about boat fishing?
Hi, I pre booked a couple of months in advance on fishingbooker.com for a 6hr trip, Google it and you'll see the latest prices. Don't be put off by windy weather, the boat rides it well and you'll catch a lot more fish. Just tell skipper Danny which species you want to catch, he has all the fishing gear and know how. Good luck.
nice fish. got lunch totady
Well done lads , one day i hope to be on that vessel, nice video.
Great camera work. I really like the underwater footage. Good to see the cod "gassing out" before being brought to the surface,
Doesn't get any better than that lads 👏👏👏👏👏 "in cod we trust " 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
What do you do with the fish you catch?is it possible to have it ICED or frozen and shipped back to UK
Allowed to bring back 18kg fillets. Comes home frozen in second suitcase.
A fishing Mecca to which I have yet to visit , love the Waterboys tune at the end m8 looked like a fantastic trip 👍
Great video and under water footage. What is the best time of year to go?
Best time is May to August, water is warm and 24hr daylight.
Good under water footage 👍
I thought these were illegal to fish
Yes in some countries, but not Norway.
Wonderful footage lads, you didnt take fish home, i know you're not meat hunters but i would have thought thats the point ten kilos of fillets each? And you certainly may as well keep them if you shove your fingers in their gills.
Yeahhh Randy Randy

Hi, fishing is really fun, I like your video❤❤❤🎉🎉
The size is amazing
Wolfie just like huge Blenny w.ld love too cast a fly over them coalies boiling on surface
Top fishing, got my trip booked in June. What size is that accurate reel if you don’t mind
Hi Alin, it is the 2 Speed Accurate Boss Extreme 400. My favourite reel by far.
@@paulsiddle amazing reels, I was thinking of getting a 600 narrow, do you think it may be too big?
@Alin Durchi Hi Alin, I reckon that would be perfect!
Superb vid , footage and fish lads . What is the blue that Brian is using please ? Lovely action
Hi David, pleased you enjoyed the video - Brian's rod is a Daiwa Super Kenzaki Boat 7'0" 20-30lb 2pc.
Wow, what a great spot! Questions: Where do you fly from & to? Time of year? I assume the have flash freezing for transport? Do you book extra space with airline or just showup?
We fly Norwegian Airlines LGW to TOS and stay at XLyngen. Every cabin has a freezer, boats there are well maintained. Any time in summer is good.
@@paulsiddle Thanks Paul So one is respensible for filleting, packaging, freezing & packaging for transport. DO they supply freezer bags or boxes? Any problem getting it into the UK?
@@paulsiddle Rent car or they supply transport to XLyngen?
@Charles Windsor They pick us up from Tromso, couldn't be easier. 18kg frozen halibut is the Norwegian allowance, in second suitcase on return flight.
My grandfather worked on the fort before 1940, as a meteorologist I belive. Really hard to find info on it, so this was a great video to watch.
wow. I think il be taking a fishing holiday to Norway :o)
Do you ever use slow jigs buddy?
Big shads jigged slowly seem to work, but you can't beat a real coalfish for bait. Livebaits are the best, but illegal in Norway.
too much of boats just messing around...and little or nothing about the fort itself
Super
Very nice 👌
Super video he waha zabrdas
Sir Hindi zaban me video dekay plz plz plz
great video.John
What a halibut lacks in beauty, she makes up in eating.
Brilliant Paul I enjoyed every bit of that and some great memories of my many trips to Lyngen. You, Luke and Brian had a great trip and the drone footage was also great. All the best
What is this song?
I see your using leads , what setup and baits did you use lads
I've had most success with whole coalfish as bait. Keep rigs as simple as possible.
About to go to auction starting at £50000. Awesome piece of history.
There are plans in place for it to be refitted and restored for use as a detox// rehab center. It would be good to see aids from history once again playing a part in the future.
Where is the rest of the film?
