To answer your question, I didn't feel discomfort during reading Hyakkano because 1) the groping happened between teenagers of similar age with consent and 2) they are fictional characters. I don't think the scenes should disgust me more than seeing fictional characters killing each other in cold blood in Hunter x Hunter or any other series. I don't know why I should distance myself from my older videos, but I unfortunately can't do that. I do translation as a hobby, out of passion for media I like. I like KumoDesu, Key the Metal Idol, amazarashi, Komi and all other series I did translation for. I also don't do it for the views. I do it because there are plenty of japanese media left untranslated. I'm only doing translation for things that are not translated either into Hungarian or English. True, I neglected my RUclips channel as I'm releasing things on other platforms recently but my sentiment won't change. I also don't think my Hyakkano video poisons the fanservice discussion. Hyakkano is made with passion by people who love the romcom genre and it shows. KamiNomi and Hyakkano are the only harem series that I enjoyed and it's mostly because I can see them as a love letter for their respective genre rather than a soulless fanservice cashgrab. So while I understand your concerns I have to decline taking down the video. I hope you understand.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression you were talking about one certain character in the manga, but now it's clear you are talking about the anime only. The anime certainly didn't have any groping going on. Maybe you are referring to the kisses and petting? I apologize but I don't think there is anything wrong with two teenagers showing their love for each other in a consensual way. I am asexual, so I might not talk for everyone here but I certainly didn't see the girls as "sex-sells" or found the fanservice in this work any worse than what we generally get - let alone the worst in decades, as you claim it to be. You also seem to have a misunderstanding about the anime, and I start to think you didn't watch even watch it. Rentarou didn't get the power to "touch the girls". In Hyakkano's world everyone gets a soulmate who is fated to be yours if you meet. But after meeting, if you can't provide a happy relationship for your soulmate then a catastrophe will strike you. Rentarou doesn't make them fall in love with one look or something. It's the universe telling them they are soulmates. That's it. It's only there for a moment and if the parties don't act then nothing will happen. It was clear with Kusuri where after the first eye contact Rentarou didn't recognize her in her other form. It's not some magical ability that makes romance easier. Rentarou is trying his best to keep all of them happy. I apologize for saying this but your replies are full of misinformation about this anime. I'm not saying there is no fanservice in the anime - there certainly is. But it's not as bad as you paint it to be, and a gag anime like this is not part of the worst part of the industry. The worst part of the industry are studios like MAPPA who treats their animators very poorly, but it's not a discussion I'd like to have here in the youtube comments, as it csn get quite lengthy.

And I'd like to say sorry again but I won't take down the video. I have things I translated and kept for myself because there are better translations available. But as of now the only translation available for the video, as far as I'm aware, is only available here. The original video was also taken down by Jump as they usually do, so if it wasn't for the Internet Archive it would be considered lost media. I got really into obscure anime after watching them for decades, and I know how difficult it is to find some of them raw, let alone with subs. And let me also quote two of my liked creators, Yatogami and Manga Crash: "If the worst manga you’ve ever read comes from Weekly Shonen Jump, you haven’t read enough manga" I recommend reading and watching more series, outside of Shounen Jump territory. There are many great series out there like Sousou no Frieren, Houseki no Kuni or Beastars. There are also worse series out there like Shuumatsu no Harem, Misou Misou or Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance. P.S.: I forgot to mention it but Hyakkano is a shounen series. It's about teen romance, aimed at teenagers. The target demography are people under 20, mostly around age 16. If you feel it's wrong to be turned on by the fanservice after you are already past that age you are right. The fanservice is not aimed at people over 20. It's aimed at japanese teenagers as they are the same age as the characters.
