Hm... Hi everyone,
I am just a guy who pours a lot of spare time into game development.
For about half a year now, I am developing a multiplayer strategy game. In July, I came across a video by @dumb.mapping , and I got an immense desire to turn this thing into a real multiplayer game. Obviously, the chances are that I will abandon this project, but why not try?
Sometimes I will upload videos of my progress here. :)
ANY SUGGESTIONS about changes to the game whether in design or mechanics ARE VERY WELCOME.

ONLINE BATTLE - Curved Dot Paths

Hi, everyone. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 500 SUBS! Some people have requested adding curved dot paths to make it easier to control the units. This is, anyway, what I was planning to do. It is an EXPERIMENTAL version, so there are many bugs, and improvements will come. I will further improve the interface of the game and add MORE MAPS! Two days ago, I launched a remote server. This essentially allows any two players anywhere on the planet to play the game together. I still had to tackle a lot of issues with the data latency, but the game looks so much better now. There is not much new stuff today; I added some buttons to make the game a bit more user-friendly. I have also had some success with Python sockets and managed to get closer to making the game online, but more about this later. P.S. I finally fixed the issue with the video resolution!

an idea I think would be cool is if you could recruit new units eg a recruitment centre or tank factory to replace lost units or bolster lines if you know what I mean
I suggest making tanks faster but hella slower in mountains and forests nd prettymush anything that isnt flat with nothing terrain

I feel tanks should be faster but slower and weaker in certain terrain like forests and rivers since the whole point of tanks is to spearhead an offensive and to outmaneuver enemies
where do u find the game
Chemical gas when?
I would add the ability, using shift or something, to move your groups forwards in sync. Like if you shift right click they'll all move the same distance and direction, so it basically moves the whole line in formation. This would help keep the frontlines without gaps.

You should make it so tanks are faster than infantry on grasslands, but slower than infantry in mountains and forests

I dont like how much you have to micro. Id say make it a little bit less fast-paced by making movement, roads, and longer fighting. Roads would allow units especially tanks to move fast and encircle faster. also try adding mountains and garrisons to cities. Overall I'm loving this game and I really am now addicted! Good Job bro!!!!!!!@!

Awsome game, when i first saw it i thought it was one of those animated battles type things so you've done the style very well!!
At about 3:41 the red troops could have captured blue's capital. And also nice progress. And one more think, your strategy skills aren't the best...
are planning to make terrain have an impact on battles? for example making it so different types of units will get debuffs in different terrain like forests and hilly areas give heavy units like tanks debuffs
Looks cool, but tanks being slower than infantry is certainly... an interresting choice. Even earliest tanks moved faster than 5km/h, I'm pretty sure, and by the time Armored troops became dedicated units separate from infantry rather than simply a support attachment, they became much faster (In some countries, like my country of Poland, they didn't really become separate units by the time WW2 began) In a WW1 scenario I guess it's plausible, but if this game shows a different kind of conflict, tanks should probably have some other weakness
Yeah the tanks battalions should not be on their own, they should be forced to fight along with infantry as that makes sense.
A other option would be to make them cost much more, than Infantry (If he add some kind of economic like gold and production)
the early development stage, why not try adding anything into the code and see what happens, it must've been fun fooling around like that.
I think in the later stages there may be different classes of units. (Heavy, Medium, Light)
It would be better to keep it simple, infantry and artillery. And artillery as very fragile ranged units. Then airstrikes as a timed ability that can be used within range of an airfield.
I would say encirclements should definitely be *less* effective with cities, but totally ineffective is probably a hit too much
Id agree. realistically cites can help protect troops and logistics to help last longer.

I dont know if you will see this, but what if you made the units health show up when you selected it, so u can js quickly select units to see their health or smth.
