Thanks for this video I love gushing about Louis and I love when people gosh about him too my favorite episode is season 2 episode 5 like you got Louis entire personality in that episode, sad Louis, angry Louis, Charming Louis, I mean I laughed and I cried

The number two spot is what Louis is trying to protect people from. I mean, lestat love this Louis, but he would regret it if that's the Louis he got. What he did to that body shows you what Louie is capable of, and people should be thankful that he is not willing to let loose like that.

I love Louis with all his flaws. I love him when he's trying to be good. I love him when he messed up. The only thing I want is that he should stop internalizing. like I love you pookie, but can you stop being so clueless.

I wish more people would watch the show with more of an open mind, but I noticed that some people watch it with their own bias I mean people are calling Lestat racist and going after Louis and trying to make him the big villain of the story. I think the only character that people have been easy on is Armand and and I actually don't have a problem with that because I do believe that he has his reasons I believe every character have their reason for what they did.I am not saying that it's right no they're not right they're toxic they all have their trauma but at the same time they're vampires so I'm not holding them on a human standards. All of these actors are doing a great job with these complex characters I love Louis my favorite character but I know that I'm living in Lestat World so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get more Louis in season 3

I am delighted to see this! In response to your guileless commentary, I sense that the Lestat character is gravitated to by some seeking to shield themselves against the times that this story takes place within. Some are avoidant of a history they would just as soon personally dismiss so they choose the character who is most able to accommodate the dismissal. This takes nothing from Sam's performance of Lestat which is stellar! What the writers do to accommodate this avoidant response remains to be seen. Hiding behind Louis wouldn't work because his character is among those attempting to live within and survive that very recent and very real time in US history. Meanwhile, Jacob's Louis is magnetic and compelling as it gets! Then along comes Claudia, Bailey's "hurricane in a dress"! The story ignites! I agree that she and Louis are naturals together, giving us moments of superb beauty and balance! Jacob Anderson is nothing short of a miracle in the role of Louis! I sense that he leaves all expectations in the dust for this role. I also sense that he has at least two past lives in Louisiana (don't laugh) and it comes through like lightening in a mega-storm in this production. There is one more "Louis moment" that I would humbly suggest, and that is the tap dance scene. I must watch it at least twice a day because it is pure joy! The look on Louis/Jacob's face throughout that scene is completely priceless!

#4 works so well because in episode 5 Louie IS vicious with his words to Armand! So it tracks and it sells the scene because we know that Louie can fight dirty with words.

the last scene in the season 2 finale is just soooo perfect to me, just the best way to end this two season arc that Louis’ character has gone through

Dominic Noble did a great Lost in Adaptation episode on Queen of the Damned, if you are interested (ruclips.net/video/Ml_4FH1oPEc/видео.htmlsi=5CpcFcxjIEsG1vZSl), with TV series context it's pretty easy to understand. He also did TVL and QOTD book recaps. And I'll never forgive this movie for taking several Louis plot points and giving them to Jesse (like being someone whose life Akasha blackmails Lestat with).

Did you see it when Daniel goes to the restaurant and he meets with the tallamasca and they say don't worry about Armand. You should be worried about Louis and I was like I would be more worried about Armand 😂 He can move stuff with his mind 😂

Louis is the most human out of all the vampires! I at least have to watch one episode a day 😂 I love how Louie's sister Grace accepted that he was with the French White as she said

BTW, if you ever want in-depth, spoiler-y recaps of Anne Rice's books, I definitely recommend 'The Naughty Librarian' here on RUclips. I've read many of the books, but that was last in the 80s (hoping to start re-reading them soon), so I found her videos a great refresher. Again, they are all spoilers, as they're straight-up detailed recaps, but they're a good way to get to know some of the lore in a quicker way. (Though, definitely recommend reading the books too!)

I have such a love/hate relationship with this film. There are bits that I love (camp and aesthetics-wise, especially Marius) and the music really grew on me, but it's SOOO different than the two books it basically stitched together! Especially in that they basically straight-washed it, making Lestat essentially straight, giving him the romance with Jesse instead of Louis. Definitely some bizarre choices made. (But at least it's the one portrayal of Armand where he looks like he does in the books, so that's something? But he's BARELY in the film and not even named on-screen, so most people would probably not even know that was him!) The books are much better. (Though I have full confidence the TV show will give the books justice, though it might be a while before we get the 'Queen of the Damned' parts -- season 4? -- and we'll just get the 'The Vampire Lestat' bits of the film only in season 3). P.S. I do kinda love Paul McGann as David in the film though, but then a) David is one of my fave Vampire Chronicles characters and b) McGann is one of my fave actors (but then I'm a massive Whovian). Oh, and you get WAAAAAY more Maharet and Akasha back-story in the 'Queen of the Damned' book. They cut a lot out in the film.

It’a an awesome series but, I know it doesn’t matter but, if you read the books are actually so much better and it helps you actually understand Lestat and his vulnerability, But also his ego and the mistakes he has made over centuries, all his pain behind the dive facade

I love your channel! Love that you get upset all through it! Love the adaption of the books ! But in the book this is based on Claudia is 5 years old. You can see why other grown vampires would be upset more than a tween. But I see why it was written this way. Claudia needed a mother and that why she wanted a partner not a lover her body never evolved this way in the book and you can’t put an actor these days to represent her. But the horror of her death they did well. But imagine the death of a small child it’s even more horrific

I wanna see as true fans wanna see.. I want to see Enikel crush Lestat as it was in the books along with Marius De Romanus.! I loved the teaser. The "man is dehydrated" comment was so unexpected but so perfect. Of course a vampire would be aware if its food was dehydrated. 8:02 Unfortunately, the "lyric video" was a slap in the face for all us Gen-X'ers who remember when MTV actually played music videos, and watched videos by Bauhaus, The Damned, The Cult, and Sisters of Mercy all the while wishing we were watching Lestat. I hope we're not left with the same disappointment during the series.
